  1. How does your fabricator feel about replicating that exhuast manifold? And for how much? --E
  2. i had the same problem when i installed my Greddy intake manifold. Under the intake manifold there is some weird idle pressure guage thingy that you can adjust to zero in the idle. I towed my car all the way to a shop to figure out that 5 minute fix....
  3. ya it would squeal pretty heavily while at 13.7-14.2 then stop when it made it about 14.5. Then mid way through the drive it stop squeaking all together and i noticed it @ 12 volts and dropping. As for the battery light I dont have a stock dash so I do not have that luxury....ill probably pull the alternator. Is there a stock replacement from a domestic Nissan (USA) or am i gonna have to jimmy rig somethin? Thanks again! Eric
  4. RB25 stock turbo, bolt ons... Driving around today my alternator belt/pully/alternator itself started to squeak--- and when it did so the voltage would drop to approximately 12.5 volts. It would squeal for a little bit then go away... and when i went away it the voltmeter would read 14.7.... then it went away today for good... only to have the voltmeter read 12 volts the entire way home... blown alternator? loose belt? just want to avoid a stranded vehicle sometime down the road...   8. Noooooooooo! at least try to stay on the boards---- you were one of the most helpful resources during my greddy IM install. Its a shame to lose such a good member. I feel you on the car issue thing....best of luck with the new projects -Eric

Here ya go--- just got done the install...if you have a s2 the TPS is a BITCH...Youll need a 240sx throttle cable which will attach to the TB fine... but youll need to take the fitting from the Z where it attaches to the pedal and take the fitting off and put it on the 240 cable. zul8r has some good info and helped me through my install. I am sure you will see him on this thread
  10. Well as some of you know I just finished up putting a greddy im and FMIC on my car w/ a q45 TB and a greddy BOV. The only thing is....as I go to start the car now... I am having issues with the idle.... Heres the skinny... Car was all stock previously The only changes made other then the bolt ons were: S2 Motor harness w/ s2 TPS was now changed to a q45 TPS (here is where I believe the issue is coming from) Stock intake replaced with homemade intake deleting BOV recirc and valve cover breather Greddy BOV Apexi AVC-R. Heres what happens (and I will try to get video up later) (all changes are made when adjusting the TPS sensor while the bolts are off on the throttle body. When bolted on just how it sat on the Q45TB---IDLE at 5k... when I try to rev it it will bog out. When twisted one way... it will idle at 1k but pour black smoke out the tailpipe When twisted the other way it will idle but surge from about 1000-2500 every second or two..... How can i calibrate this? This car needs to be driveable asap so I can get it into a garage before it gets snowed on again...
  11. So I can pull out the black one and replace it with the autometer sender/ use the stocker for the autometer sender? thanks for the quick reply!
  12. So, I got the car all together and semi running other then some TPS issues which will probably be in another thread... Regardless I need to put the sender somewhere it can be grounded without bootlegging (fitting in a hose thats grounded) So I have to tap somewhere... My queston is... can one of these two be moved? It looks like the red is the stock sender and the other may just be a ground.... but that wouldnt seem right being that there is a ground right next to the two tapped holes..... Heres a pic for reference...
  13. put the SR20 in the Z and get a beat k24de for the 240. Then sell it and take the money and make the Z awesome.... That is if you have a ton of time on your hands....

  15. the powder was actually on top of the coil packs as well as around the rings that the coils sit on. I wish I took a pic but my digi died right as i went to change the plugs and rain was on the way... I cleaned it up and havent had the car running since... so this upcoming weekend it should be running ill pull them again
  16. so were all against just putting a filter on it--- but rather making some sort of filtered line? Anyone have pics of what they have done?
  17. well Z U L8R is probably going to be the test to that fact... hes got close to 450 with pistons on pump in an otherwise stock block and head....

On my honda a lot of guys switched the PCV to a mini filter...Anyway as I wrap up my FMIC install i have some extra piping that I made a short intake for so that I can fit a filter in the engine bay cleanly under the piping. I was wondering if I should weld in a bung to run the PCV through the intake or just pop a filter on it and call it a day? Any reason not to?
  19. with the little experience i have with high power RBs...from what ive read is the first thing that usually has issues is the ignition system around 300whp Next is the RB20 trans (if you have one) around 400 whp Ringlands around 550 and the 9 sec rb nearing comlpetion thread is testing the stock girdle and crank i believe up to around 1000....
  20. Ya so I went to change my plugs and when I popped out the coils I look in cyl 3 and 5 and there is a lot of white powder. Pics will be up shortly... what the hell does this mean...
