  1. Definitely odd, not sure what to make of it Thanks for the insight Tony, much appreciated as always
  2. Curiosity is all, motor is strong with perfect compression on all 6 cylinders. I'll check out the starter side when i have a chance, hopefully today at lunch. Thanks Tony
  3. How sure are you on the year? I ask because its a F54 block. I can snag a pic of the stamping on the block if needed, but its there. I thought F54's werent made until '81 (just referencing the xenons30 site)? Newzed - It has a P90a head, but like i said, its a f54 block, not a n42 block... hmm...
  4. Looking at a Nissan remanufactured motor, is it was possible anywhere to look up the serial number to find out more (build date, sell date, build specs, etc). Here is the part no/serial no plate on the motor Ive found the part number online (with a list price of nearly $3K, wow! for a factory rebuild!) and its obviously no longer available and tagged as discountined, but I cant seem to find any way of tracking down serial numbers to find out specifics. Maybe its not possible, but figured it was worth asking about at least. Thanks,
  5. Would not have known this, thanks! Any reason I couldnt use something like this: http://www.discounthydraulichose.com/9063_JIC_37_x_BSPT_p/9063.htm Aren't JIC and AN interchangeable in lower pressure setups? I know AN is built to higher tolerances, but isnt JIC the commercial variant? Both are 37* flares
  6. Thanks, makes sense since that has been removed from my car
  7. These were near the AFM connection on the harness, just curious what these originally went to cold start injector maybe?
  8. https://picasaweb.google.com/102233239296109086503/June162012 I think if you click on one picture, it opens it up, and on the bottom their is an "options" menu which lets you DL the full-size picture.
  9. Great info all, thanks for all your help!
  10. Exactly, I want to lose the brass nipples and convert to AN fittings, was hoping someone knew what size they were so I could go ahead and order them online and have them ready to go when i get to my car this weekend.
  11. Dont have the car right in front of me at the moment, but wanting to clean up some vacuum lines. Does anyone know offhand what size the threaded vacuum inlets on the N42 intake manifold are? Ive circled the main 3 in question in the attached pictures. Thanks,
  12. Nice! Swap just about done? Once I get this lean issue figured out I'll be adding a fmic and your old BOV
  13. That link too says 71-78, so im wondering what the difference as far as the compressor and mounting brackets when it comes to the L28ET. Ive come across several used setups for really good prices, but theyre all off L28s -- Im trying to figure out of they will still bolt up the same to the L28ET. I would have assumed they were all the same, but im not sure now
  14. Wow, certainly appreciate that. Not sure its deserved, but I'll take it lol, have seen some really amazing builds here. Some other pics in this thread, including some engine pics: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/87272-post-pics-of-your-zs-here/page__st__1045
  15. I have 16x8.25, but with 205/50-16s, lowered on springs. More pics @ http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/107484-afternoon-cruise/
  16. I do not have a paint code, but its kandy tangerine pearl. The pearl isnt overkill though, just a hint, you can see it a bit in direct sunlight:
  17. Haha, if you want any of 'em in higher resolution, shoot me your email in a PM XXR 527 Definitely, still waiting to run across a S30 in the flesh though. Have gotten the thumbs up and headlight flashes from a few ZXs, 350s and 370s but no S30s yet, used to see a couple round town. We were just driving down 441 in the middle of nowhere, GF spotted it so we swung a U-ey and stopped for some pics.
  18. New pics here: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/107484-afternoon-cruise/
  19. Thanks! Paint isnt perfect, but it looks pretty good going down the road haha
  20. Just 16x8.25 wheels (0 offset, no spacers) and 205/50 rubber. On lowering springs for now, may switch over to coilovers down the road.
  21. Gainesville I was originally talking to someone in san diego about his 1jz 240, but he kind of disappeared on me. Dont know if he decided to keep it or just found a local buyer, oh well. Right now the car is a great cruiser, but goes super lean at full throttle. I'll need to get that sorted to be able to keep up with you guys, haha
  22. Gave the car a wash, a full tank of gas, and went for a cruise out in the country. the GF brought the camera along and we made a few stops along the way for pics.
  23. Gave the car a wash today and went for a drive
