  1. You can contact John Washington at reactionresearch.com just navigate to teh automotive section.
  2. Jwink25, the centerline wheels are no longer on sale (ended a couple of years ago) and now run about $275 per wheel.
  3. to keep this thread about wheels, I posted info here; http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?p=795421#post795421
  4. In an effort to avoid a thread jack of the "Post your wheels" thread. I posted some pictures of my car to show the wheels and had questions about the paint (primer) color of my car. Here is the car; The car has been painted with a catalyzed primer, which is a bit different than your regular primer when mixed and applied. The car was shot with two coats of a heavier consistency and a top coat thinned down for a smoother finish. This was a second attempt at this type of finish. After research I was told by the old school guys to use PPG DP90. It looked great but quickly turned gray so I started over. So far I am very happy with the new method, but the car does spend most of its time in the garage. It does scratch easily but can be washed and gently "handled" with no problems. The question was also asked about the lack of the windshield trim. The trim is out due to still needing a new windshield, so it will be going back in. In the mean time I have powder coated all of the side window trim in black so the only chrome/stainless that will be on the car if/when it gets done, will be the windshield and hatch glass trim, door handles and the two pillar emblems. I am just a bit disappointed I don't have my custom hood on in these pictures. If there are any other questions feel free to fire away
  5. Only looking for 2 days and you are getting excited? Relax, keep watching ebay they pop up quite often.
  6. Fear me is correct, the wiring is buried in the foam sealer inside the rear fender. If it isn't too deep you might be able to pull it out, but don't count on it.
  7. Not "gills" but seems to be pretty popular.
  8. Try it with a 36 year old Z car giving you a very small market. I am down to a few more boxes and 5 major shell pieces. One bright side, I now own a plasma cutter!
  9. Thanks Bartman, and to clarify. I developed my hood strictly on my own dime, I have two cars for the hood and wanted one for each and to learn the whole fabrication process. I learned a lot and am using it for my next "creation". I don't require deposits, and I have delivered every hood ordered. I can say they have sold well enough recoup my development and mold building costs and am much wiser from the experience. I lucked out and found a great deal on packaging and shipping to keep costs down for the customer. I really can't see how you will be able to hit your $300 target but congratulate you if you do. I would also agree that "THE HOOD" is a slightly arrogant title for what stage it is in right now, I know it grabbed my attention though because I thought you had got a hold of one of mine:)
  10. I've wanted one for awhile, but started thinking about renting one to cut up a used up car. I got a used 110V Hypertherm Max 20 and it worked great. I was not worried about precise work but it was a lot of fun. For heavy duty work you will probably want to go with a 220V unit and stick with the major players.
  11. Mine are fiberglass, but I am local so no costly shipping
  12. Not quite sure exactly what parts you are talking about but the interior plastic rivets have a pin in the middle that need to be pushed out. Once the pin has fallen through, you pryout the rivet body. If you are trying to remove the rear exterior tail light panels, you will need to remove the obvious rivets then remove the interior panel to get to the nuts that hold them in. Not sure what louvers you are trying to remove.
  13. LOL, the DZA has been there for years on a monthly basis. Just this year attendance got too low to justify our 30 car reservation. True it is geared towards the american car types but we gave them a run for their money pretty regularly. There are some some other car shows around town and if someone organized a bi-monthly showing at different locations you would probably see an increase in Z car attendance. Almost every local hybrid member I know in town aren't into the showing off side of car shows since most people don't understand what they are looking at.
  14. There are a couple of Z car clubs here in the Valley. DesertZAssociation.com AZ350Z.com WestsideZ.com Not many Hybrid owners are in any of them. You will find only find the older styles at DesertZ. I am a "member in hiding" still waiting to get my two hybrids on the street. The red one is Dan Fink, who attends teh DesertZ events and misc. car shows around town. His is recently finished and is a member on here as well. I think there are about 10 Arizona hybrid Z owners on this board.
  15. You would think it would at least have a Bob Sharp racing valve cover.
  16. I run Centerline 17X7" rhino's and like tha size. Also remember you can get spacer/adapters for around $180 that will allow you to run the many styles and sizes that are available for Honda's.
  17. I have one I can let go. 280zone@cox.net for pictures
  18. Basically it worth what you are willing to pay for it. I paid $500 for a good solid (very little sufrace rust) 75 Arizona car that ran but wouldn't pass emissions. Ugly paint and needed almost everything.
  19. People actually start showing up at 3:00 pm but it is still a bit hot at that time. Once the sun goes down you will see the place start to fill up, then a major part will leave between 7 and 9 when a lot of tuner cars show up.
  20. When I did my LED conversion, I heated up the edges of the tail lights to soften the glue. Then SLOWLY pry them out. I then did my modification and then reheated the glue and pressed them back in by hand. go Slowly with each step, so you don't melt your tail light lens. The LED conversion wass the easy part, the tail light disassembly and reassembly is time consumer.
