  1. This amazing GT-R pushes the affordable super car envelope even further. The amount of technology and thought that went into this car is insane! I'm proud to be a part of the Nissan heritage with my S30.
  2. Me too I think I'll try the talbot, I was bummed cause I thought I wasn't gonna be able to get them cause of the $250+ price tag but now that I can get them for $30 I'm exited! Woot!
  3. Thanks for the link! I read every thread that even mentioned talbot in the forums and there isn't a definitive answer to the vibration problem with the talbots. The general idea I got was that the mirrors were ok as long as the adjustment was locked on the mirrors. And by the way I think the side louvers Finish Line Products has inserted into the hood would look sweet! It would give it cool custom look for sure. And I kinda know how you feel about the point of no return cutting up the hood, I'm sectioning my struts for my coilover set up and am a bit nervous,..measure 3 times, cross fingers and cut. Any out there with the talbot copies that would like to enlighten us if there is a vibration/mounting problem?
  4. I was going to post about these Raydot mirrors vs. the Talbot mirrors today, haha what are the odds?? The main reason I was going to go with the raydots was the price but Capt_Furious would you mind sharing where I can get the Talbot copies for 30.00 dollars? That would be great! And is there anyone who has the Talbots that could further confirm the mounting/vision problems? I think either of the mirrors would look great on the S30 regardless though.
  5. I got second dibs on that air dam, if its still available. you can Pm me.
  6. Hope that new video is in the works Big-Phil! Looking forward to it!
  7. I have a 78 280z with air conditioning. I'm replacing old vacuum lines and was wondering what this thing is. The vacuum lines run through it. Do these things go bad and lose vacuum? Please let me know I could find this thing in my shop manual. Pic is in the link http://www.putfile.com/cruizzzin78 Kyle
  8. I've got a good one.....Got pulled over at @2am coming back from a concert 5 hours away not speeding or anything. I didn't relize the a-hole on my ass behind me was a cop and didn't signal to get in to the right lane. Pulled my info and said I've driving with a suspended lisence, "WHAAATTTT!!!!" is what I think I said. I didn't know what the heck was going on, luckily he let my buddy drive home so I didn't pay any tow fees. Turns out it was an error in the mail and I didn't get a notice for proof of insurance for a ticket I got a year before. I had to drive 3 hours to this hick town Hagerstown Indiana to tell the judge what happened and she told us that the, "BMV is a screwed up system." ........good times
  9. incredable, ..gives me goose bumps.. wonder what engine hes running?
  10. Looking forward to the pics, I'd really like to do this mod.
  11. Thanks again for all the help guys I have a better idea what to look for when I buy my wheels.
  12. I have to crank my 78 280z over a dozen times before it finally starts and barely runs at 400 rpm and slowly evens out at 800 rpm. After I let it run really rough and it warms up it gets a little better but when I crank the trottle it revs up but missing at the same time. I checked the timing and it seems to run better at 18-20 degrees instead of 10 degrees (were it should be) for some reason. I have good spark. My injectors are clicking. I pulled the vacuum line off the feul pressure regulator and no feul comes out so I geuss its good. I pulled the plugs and they were carbon fouled. I was also wierd that my idle adjustment screw doesn't affect the rpm very much. How can I rule out the possibility of the problem being my AAR or my TPS? Could it be my mass airflow? PLLEEAASE I need help!
  13. Got it out, I came to find the reason it was being a pain in butt is because the core that was leaking was from another car, it doesn't match the replacment one I have... I geuss the previous owner couldn't find a replacement 280z core and shoved a different one in instead. But anyway, no more small ponds of coolant in the floor of my car. Thanks for the replys.
  14. I have searched and haven't found anything to help. I think I have a wierd problem. This is my first time removing a heater core so understand I'm learning here. I can get the heater core about half way out but then its like its hitting something inside the heater box or something. What am I missing, any ideas?
  15. Ok I've found a wire diagram and traced the numbers I found on the wires. Its all figured out now, thanks for the help.
  16. thanks for the reply and the link! I just checked the wires and they both read +12 volts to ground so I don't how I can find out which is which. I did find that on wire says 37 and the other wire says 15, can any body tell me from these munbers which is which? Anybody?
  17. I'm replacing my injector connectors and have a quick question. There are two wires going to the injector connector and was wondering if it matters which of the wires I solder together. I sure hope it doesn't matter, I forgot to mark one.
  18. Nice lookin set of wheels you got there. Specs on wheels/tires please!
  19. I know that stock wheels on the first gens are 0 offset so finding a set of wheels to fit that are not the sport max/panasport series is tough. Anybody know how I can search for 0 offset wheels. If I find wheels that not exactly 0 offset (but are close) what are my limitations to using spacers. O by the way, I did search alot!
  20. I think I found the set of wheels I'm going to buy for my 280z, I think they'll really look awesome! The wheels are 17'' by 7.5'' with a 40 offset. From what I understand, I can run a 245-50/17 tire in the back with coilovers and the stock fender lip (no flare). My question is with the offset. What offset do I need to bolt up these wheels and tires without them going past the stock fender lip? Will the 40 offset be ok? If not, can I use a spacer to get the offset were it should be? What can I do to fit these wheels. PLEASE I need advice! All help appreciated! Thanks:) (link to wheel below) (They come in four lug too) http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=wheelCloseUp&wheelMake=American+Racing+Muscle&wheelModel=Razor&wheelFinish=Silver+w%2FMachined+Lip
