  1. Yup calculator worked pretty well. Just about where I was planning on setting the bars.
  2. Wider the better for handling it's all about leverage at that point. Mine is a straight line car. I'll check out that website I haven't sat down and done my math yet on my bars. But it'd coming.
  3. I'll be running a large sway bar. Drag cars wants to squat so light springs and no body roll is a good thing. If it doesn't squat it just spins.
  4. I'm about an hour from Dallas in south Fort Worth if you want to look at one first hand.
  5. Buy a totaled ls1 car that is the cheapest way to go period. It doesn't matter what ls engine you use the dimensions are all the same and mount the same. The very first topic in this category tells you exactly how to do the swap.
  6. Got an update for you ladies and gents. The axle is narrowed 7"s 3.5"s from each side. Still have to do the frame rails to connect the backhalf to the front frame rails. Also have to modify the rails for the seats doesnt give me enough room just yet but it will.
  7. I'm using a c5 bat wing oil pan as well. Sucks serious a** getting the engine out due to the pan hitting the mounts.
  8. Search man all those questions have been answered many times. I ran my exhaust throught the hood at 1 point plain shorty ls1 headers go right through the hood vents. Most guys are running a 3 core aluminum radiator stock replacement works fine. Electric fans range from Taurus fans to cheap autozone fans. Fuel system a Walbro 255 pump with a 99 corvette fuel filter will cover your fuel system. The filter has a built in regulator and return line. Just don't go cheap buy a wix filter.
  9. Lmao hey I have been updating my thread.............just not lately.
  10. Run your main power line from the battery to one post of the switch. Everything else goes on the other post post. All it has to do is kill all power to the car.
  11. Somewhere I saw you can use coil overs and will give a half inch clearance for the front tires. Might try that before i buy spacer.
  12. Got tires today. The back are bfg gforce r1 315 35 17. These things are huge.
  13. No work on the z this weekend. Engine rebuild for my dodge and good guys. She will just have to keep looking pathetic in the garage.
  14. Rebekahz is right just pay attention to leaks and the obvious bad signs.
  15. Ya she needs to get back on the road. Work has been keeping me busy for some reason other people want their cars done also.
