I've been lucky with my brakes (knock on wood) the only issue I had was when my master cylinder took a dump on me when I was accelerating down a side road up to 45, and had an SUV cut me off. Slammed on the brake and crap, it's on the floor. Pull on the e-brake and slid the car a bit but didn't hit the truck. The piston for the front brake was shot. I'm glad changing the master cylinders on these things is so easy. though I should check all my pads, my rotors, and my drums to make sure they're all still good.

I love how beat up and stripped down the car looks, then you pop off the hood and it's got a shiny new block sitting in there hahaha

yeah, all the gold coating kills it for me. it's not yellow zinc plated (he did it on EVERYTHING, look at the hatch latches)

well, I have a clear filter BEHIND the pump, to catch any tank crap before it gets sucked into the pump. it works great, till the filter gets so full that the engine stumbles again.

ah, I can see why it wouldn't build boost unless there's load. because unless you want to rape the rev limiter (if there even is one) you'd have to close the butterfly to hold the revs to a certian point. now, if you had a rev limiter or something, it probably would build boost while raping the limiter. right?

I took a look at his cad pictures description, and it's a cad model of an ariel atom that he used as the basis of HIS frame. but he never took any REAL measurements from a real car.

yeah, his hoop scares me a little looks like it would collapse on a roll over what IS crazy though, is he built the entire thing without any measurements from a REAL atom, so not only is this a home built atom, it's a home built, one off custom replica of an atom. 0-60 in 4.5 seconds and 35mpg. he used a bunch of scrap parts too, which is pretty cool. but still....that hoop bothers me lmao. I bet he built it for pretty cheap too. a lot of the parts are all recycled (like the engine and I'll bet all the electronics, came from teh same crashed RSX) he designed the entire car in cad, and he has an image of what looks like his frame if he went into a side impact.

this picture needs to be blown up and turned into a poster also, I agree on the welds. Ugly welds that hold are better than pretty welds that break. oh, and in this shot, if you were to make the fenders flare out like this, it would be awesome having those big tires tucked in like that

actually, it doesn't look like the engine took too much of the impact. from the looks of it, the passenger right of the frame took the full force of the impact, which distorted the frame to the point the engine shifted. the crushed console is the result of the frame being pushed in. the engine itself may be slightly damage, but should be ok imo. but it would take physically looking at it to really know... for 1k, I'd take it, strip everything I can (those seats sure~ look pretty) and then scrap the rest that I don't want/need that would be cool to strip out the engine, megasquirt it, then drop it into a Z hahaha. hey, maybe the transaxle is still good! lmao, sell it to a GTR owner that blew his up hahaha

man the front end of that 2000gt/S30 is HIDEOUS the back looks really nice though. is that the car equivalent of a "butterface" lmao drive up from behind "dang, that's a nice car" then as you pass by "DANG that's an UGLY car"
