  1. I like this new turbo design, I think it would work: The new No Lag, High Boost (NLHB) Turbo uses the effects of the space time continuum deterioration from worm-hole transportation to create higher levels of flow. From all the ETs traveling to and from Earth, they create ripples in the fabric of space and time. Our turbo uses these ripples to its advantage. What happens is that it takes the boost levels of the RPMs you would be in and travels that boost back in time to create them at the lower RPMs. Eliminating lag and building more boost. Common boost levels @ RPM  5 PSI @ 500 RPM (Cranking)  10 PSI @ 800 RPM (Idle)  20 PSI @ 3000 RPM  And 60 PSI @ 7000 RPM
  2. Know what? I'm just gonna design a new turbo. It will be so efficient that it makes 10 psi WHILE cranking, 15 psi at idle, 30 psi at 3000RPMs and 50 PSI at redline. I'll have it designed and manufactured by tomorrow, lol.
  3. On that forum, what kind of headlight set-up is that on the white Z posted by Rukh a little over past half way?
  4. Lol, I'm like in a VERY selective group then. Sealab was alright, I love the episode with the Fueng Shei guy, Space Ghost had its moments, Harvey Birdman was good, but I find Xaviar, Tim and Eric, and Look Around You very entertaining. But I hate ATHF, Squidbillies, and Delocated. Oh well...the shows I REALLY miss from Adult Swim is Outlaw Star, Yu Yu Hakusho, Samurai Champloo, and Trigun. DeathNote is awesome, havent got to watch Bleach much, Cowboy Bebop is one of the bests. I think Samurai X/Rurouni Kenshin would be a great addition. They really need more than just one night of anime. Flame me for this if you want, but I'm getting sick of Family Guy. Everybody loves Family Guy but I think its been on for way to long
  5. Wow, I really am starting to feel like the only person who likes those shows. I cant stand ATHF, but love Robot Chicken.
  6. Yeah, my head is starting to hurt to. How about some book/dvd suggestions to learning so I can learn more from a start to end kinda way instead of this going back and forth that's happening
  7. Thats awesome!!! I wish I had a kid, but first I need a wife lol.
  8. Well...that doesn't tell me if the trucks and SUVs that these come in are RWD or 4WD, lol. I think it could be cool to have a directed injected, performance diesel 4 banger and get what, 50 MPG? If it doesn't THAT much weight to the car of course.
  9. In case you're not aware, Cartoon Network has a section on their network at night called Adult Swim. Its been there for years now. Well, a couple newer shows they put on there is Xavior: Renegade Angel and Tim And Eric: Great Show, Awesome Job which I think both are funny and enjoy watching but I have yet to find anyone else that even remotely like the shows, they all flat out just hate them. What about anybody here?
  10. My friend back home is gonna check it out and try to get it running. If my car does have this ignition box, how can he check to make sure its good? Or does anyone know how to wire it out like Datsun260Z said was done on his?
  11. I love the light set-up on that white Z. Its the first tail-light swap on a S30 that I like
  12. I have yet to hear anything about this so what would you guys think? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_ZD_engine A 3.0 ltre Nissan diesel turbo 4-cylinder. Are the vehicles that they list have this engine in the RWD platform or are they AWD? I think it may be a nice swap if RWD. You cant deny the performance potential of diesels.
  13. A friend of mine back home said he'll try to figure out how to get it running while I'm up here so I'm gonna mail him the ignition key and a check to pay for misc. things such as parts and gas. He's a great guy that I respect his opinions of, but he's not exactly a great mechanic so it would still be nice to have someone look into it that has more experience in the Datsun.
  14. With my 4-spd the shifter seems to jiggle quite a bit while in gear, it wasn't tight in there like with my Mustang and Celica were. Is this normal? For the whole 5 hours I was able to drive it, didn't seem to be an issue.
  15. First I had my shirt ripped by a jagged peice of metal coming off of a classmates rusted up Nova and the next week or so that rip fell in the way of the oxy/acetelyne torch and caught fire. I was using Big Bertha (biggest grinder in the shop) to grind on the wheels hubs I was modifying and I didn't see that the sparks were that close to me and they caught my shirt on fire. At my old job in a metal shop I caught my shirt in the wire wheel numerous times. There was a GIANT I-beam thing I had to clean (my job was the grinder/cleaner of what the welders welded up) and it started falling of the saw-horse like things we set it on, I was dumb enough to try to save the ton of steel but ended up jumping out the way like a ninja and it fell to the floor. Didn't hurt a thing on it, the only thing that did get hurt was my pride. lol. I'm getting better, I haven't set myself on fire or anything lately
  16. I have a 1974 Datsun 260Z with a L28, Arizona Z Car Holley 4-barrell on it. I haven't been able to get the car running, I wasn't able to get any spark. The car is in Clarkridge, AR sitting at my aunt's house but I'm in Pennsylvania and wont be able to be down there until June 20th. I want to bring the car up to Pennsylvania in July for my Street Rod class so I can fix the floors in it and shave the emblems and side markers, I'm not sure if I have the ability, and I know I don't have the tools, to get it running for that week before I have to head back up here so I was hoping that someone would be nice enough to check out the car and find out whats wrong with it. Money can be worked out, just PM me if interested. If not, its ok.
  17. Hey now, thats not fair. I tried that 3 times already but these school computers wouldn't do it. Note the last sentence I put in there at the last paragraph. Actually when I did it double spaced between the first sentence and the first book listing like you have there between the last book listing and last paragraph. These computers are running the OLD version of Internet Explorer, they have a whole bunch of sites blocked like every other computer in other schools, so I can lean to believe that theirs something that makes my Enter key strokes unexistant after hitting the Post button.
  18. Well, this is what got me thinking about this more http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=145379 and I read the wiki description before post this thread. I just cant fully understand it. Was there a system that took the boost from the smaller turbo's compressor housing and ran it through the turbine housing of the bigger one? This is what I thought the sequential turbo system was but the Toyota one in the thread's link I pasted seems to make more sense as the sequential system.
  19. I've never worked on any turbo car in my life and reading about stuff without having any experience does make it harder to get it. So if you're running two 10 psi turbos in a twin system its still 10 psi? Whats the point then, just more volume? Running like a 10 psi turbo with a 20 psi turbo in a twin set-up would make more sense but then when it averages out it would just be 15 psi, the sequential set-up (if my explaination on how it works is correct) would be a better choice in my opinion.
  20. Ok, I understand the big single being best for peak horsepower applications. Now here's where I get confused. Twin turbo-using two smaller, quicker spooling turbos with lower boost. So lets say with an L6, you have 3 cylinders pushing 10 psi, then another 3 cylinders pushing another 10 psi, do they end up at the manifold as 20 psi? And the sequential has all the exhaust gas pushing like a 10 psi turbo and then all the exhaust gasses the leave that turbo enter a second 30 psi turbo so you run at 10 psi at super low RPMs until you get into the higher RPM range where you push the 30 psi? Can you get the peak horsepower of a single turbo set-up out of the sequential?
  21. Ok, explain to me whats happening here. It looks like to me that the down pipe and exit of wastgate from one turbo is re-directed into the exhaust flow for the second turbo. Is this correct? Is this just so you can have a smaller turbo on one flange for lower boost pressure and then all the exhaust gases that exit that turbo go into the flow for the second, bigger turbo? I can see how this would be quicker spooling than a normal twin-turbo set-up but would it also make the same peak numbers as a single turbo set up?
  22. Here's my list of books I want so far. -Chassis Engineering by Herb Adams -Auto Math Handbook by John Lawler -Maximum Boost by Corky Bell -Engineer to Win by Carroll Smith -Competition Car Suspension by Allan Staniforth -Tune to Win by Carroll Smith -Competition Car Aerodynamics by Simon McBeath -Turbo by Jay K. Miller -Engine Blueprinting by Rick Voeogelin (may have spelt that wrong) -High Performance Brake Systems by James Walker -Race and Rally Car Sourcebook by Allan Staniforth Is this a good list, anymore recommendations? Nobody have any experience with The Race Car Chassis by Forbes Aird that I originally posted about? I have edited this 3 times to have the titles listed and bulleted but it keeps smooshing it together, I think its because of the school's computers here. If its not fixed this time I'll fix it when I get home...Umm I got home and fixed it. lol
  23. Is the DEI products lighter than the factory stuff? It doens't matter but I'm just curious
  24. I found this book http://www.amazon.com/Race-Car-Chassis-HP1540-andClosed-Wheel/dp/1557885400/ref=sr_1_135?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1238881658&sr=1-135# at Amazon and since there was no customer reviews on the site I don't know if I should add it to my wish-list I'm making. Has anybody read this book? Would it be a good addition with Chassis Engineering by Herb Adams or would it have like no new information out of it? I've also noticed that a lot of books on Amazon seem to be far out of date according to the customer reviews
