I bought a set of projector headlights that were sold through hybridz a while back (now dapper lighting) and just got them out of storage. I'd like to install them, but if I'm honest, I'm a bit weirded out by electrical installations. I just prefer knowing they have been installed properly, I am not what you might call mechanical... I'm in San Jose, CA. Just curious if anyone who has installed these wouldn't mind lending some of their time and skill, of course you would be compensated for your time. The Rocky Auto carbon Z had 15 TE37Vs but they swapped them out for 17s, I thought the 15s looked so much better.

I got my set from a member here through a WTB ad I posted, but I paid around the number you mentioned. The only reproductions I've ever seen were astronomically priced... Good luck

I was in your boat for a little while, but then I realized that who am I kidding, I can never afford 3k for wheels haha. HaaJeHaa is dead on about the stuff you'll need to run at minimum. Coils and camber plates are a must. I believe the 16x9 Wats have a -13 offset. You'd have to stretch a tire for sure, I doubt a 225 would be enough, maybe more of a 205..? The tire stretch debate is probably one for another day, but just ask yourself if you feel like exposing the bead of a 700 dollar wheel, 4 times over... Have you ever been to the Watanabe site and checked out all their photos? http://www.rs-watana..._new/nissan.htm S30s are down the page a bit, anyone running 9's I believe has flared their car. There is a guy on this site named Lalit0 (I think) that has 8.5s all around, and it is a TIGHT fit. Here's a photo: I wish you luck in this pursuit, please post images/details as they develop.

Took some shots of my car, including the interior. I'd have to say the interior is the furthest part of the car from being where I want it to be, from the huge holes in the door cards to the cracked plastics...it's where I plan to focus next. I think I've decided to sell the Bride seat too and go back to stock, just with new red vinyl.

I know of the member you speak of, and I won't name names, but I would have to recommend against using his services. He is a perfectly nice guy, but quality and timeliness were seriously lacking. Just something to think about. My car had a "twice pipes" look Ansa on it when I bought it, but the pipes were horizontal instead of vertical. I still have them, they need to be cleaned up (and probably modded since the pipe size is pretty small) but if you are interested, you can basically have them.

I'd agree if the door panel in use was ratty and/or "custom" made, but I plan to have a clean and uncut door panel. Also it comes down to materials used and how it is presented; it would look terribly cheap if I just bolted it right to the door panel with an exposed bolt. I plan on running the strap through the door panel and will need some sort of finishing plate to hide the seam in the panel. I also found a place that gave me an awesome quote for making these straps in real Alcantara. I'm worried that the armrest spot might be too low and the strap would either get stuck or it might be awkward to close the door properly. These are all things I will test.

I am motivated to get my interior cleaned up and the first item I need is a set of clean red door cards. I have looked for these before with no luck, looks like I just missed a set on LA craigslist (really hope the buyer frequents Hybrid). If you have a set, please PM me. Thanks.

The strap would have to be super short, 2-3 inches I'm thinking. It'd also be mounted roughly where the armrests are so it wouldn't get stuck in the door.

One of these days I plan on buying new door skins for my S30 and I got to thinking that pull straps might be kind of neat, like you see in a lot of Porsches: I like the idea of a "shaved" door panel, has anyone ever done this or have an photo of it? I've never been a big fan of the armrests in these cars, couple that with an electric window kit and I'm envisioning only the door handle at the bottom, a pull strap and nothing else. I might have to photoshop something like that...

I have procrastinated too much and now find myself in a dilemma. I'd like to install a new muffler on my S30 before the Japanese car meet next sunday. Looking for a decent N42 head and/or F54 to start my L28 build. It's alright if it needs some cleaning and rebuilding, I'd just prefer nothing damaged. Hey Leon, nice shot of our cars at C&C. That S2 looks good, I like that color on those cars. There is some big Z drive tomorrow, did you hear about it? I found out about it on NICO, might check it out...mostly Z32s though.
