  1. You need a clear hood on that thing, so everyone can see that. Wow, nice work. Very Impressive!
  2. Man I am in love with your car. The look of your car is exactly what I am going for. It is gonna be a long road though, I just do not have the funds. Do you drive your car at the ride height shown in the picture?

I have always had good luck with Innovate. They are tried and true and have lots of support and accessories. http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/ I sell AEM, but I like the Innovate better. I wish I had an account with Innovate or one of their distributors. I have customers with AEM, Greddy, and NGK, so I have seen and used these units, and I like the Innovate better.
  4. GMAC, What did you do with you old pans?
  5. I have not thought about that... you are welcome to make an offer. I will not need the pick ups either, so they would go with the pans. Would you want both? -Andy
  6. LOL... good point... that is definitly more impressive that jack stands. Its not that I have not considered it, I just am pinching pennys, which is hard to do building a Z. Oh and PrO, that is an awesome write up. I have read through it like 10 times. I wanna build one, but I need more greenbacks.
  7. I am going to attempt this very same thing in the near future. I am not looking forward to it. Unfortunately I will be on my back, no rotisserie for me. What are you planning on putting back on? Hoke is right, I have undercoating and rust to tend too, yuck! Sorry to thread jack, but 240hoke, do you have your old build pics posted up anywhere besides your old geocities site? I wanted to check out your strut sectioning pics as well as some of the other pics. There was a ton of great info on there. Thanks -Andy
  8. Turbos and Nitrous go great together as long as its set up correctly. Nitrous gets a bad rap because some people throw the bottle on it for easy, cheap, HP only to eventual blow up their engine. J Taylor's set-up is proof if you take a mild approach, you can have great results for a long time.
  9. I have two stock RB20 pans. I was fortunate enough to get an OE 200zr pan, so I do not need my stock RB pans. I considered using my 200zr pan as a template and modding the stock pans and then selling the OE 200zr pan. I only paid $150 for my 200zr pan..... yeah I stole it! Oh and your pan looks great! $350 sounds like a great deal, considering what people are trying to sell them for.
  10. I feel that way, every time I look through the picture threads on here. I have my Z, but I am only getting started with the resto. There are so many clean Z's on here.
  11. I love the orange aswell, but I can not decide if I wanna keep it. My wife hates the orange. I think of it like when you see someone wearing a shirt and your like.. "hey I like that", but then I think, "would that look good on me". lol
  12. Do you have any bigger pics. Looks as if there is quite a good following.
  13. I would like to see how a butt weld would turn out. I would imagine a butt would would prove to be difficult, especially on thin aluminum.
  14. GMAC708, your original pans look 10 times better than mine. I would be happy to use your old ones.
  15. I have a Lincoln 130 amp that I pick up used for $150...... yeah, I know, I stole it! But I have a friend who has a Clarke that I used for years before I bought mine. It worked flawless. We used Lincoln in school and I had more problems out of them then I did with the Clarke. Never had any feeding issues, I was really impressed with it considering its kinda an off brand. Hope this helps.
  16. I love the idea of fiberglass bumpers. Lightweight and easily replaced. I also would love to learn how to work with fiberglass, definitely on my huge list of things to do. Off topic, but how do you like your projector lens? Are they the ebay set. I know they have issues with blinding people, but are they better than the standard ebay H4 conversion housings? I have a set of H4 HIDs I wanna put in mine, but I can not decide which housing to get. Thanks in advanced, and your car looks great! -Andy
  17. Did you find any information like prices? I am in middle Tennessee and may need some work my self. Thanks, Andy
  18. 77 feet, wow, I never really thought about how much tubing went into a full cage. It definitely looks sexy, regards if its to spec. Man, thats an awesome rotisserie. I have been looking at cages a lot lately and for some reason the rotisserie caught my eye.
  19. This all is a very good point and something I had not consider my self. I want the rust gone first and foremost, at least the worst places. I can't stand the sight of it. I will feel much better when it is gone and then I can focus on other important things.
  20. I think I read somewhere else about the bad fitment of that hoop. Its gotta be cheaper than taking it to someone and having it fab up. So, how do you think the zero-rust paint holds up against Por-15? Por-15 is tried an true, but I am up to try out some other things. Did you do your frame rails with the car on stands? I hate welding upside down, but I do not want to spend the money building or buying a rotisserie.
  21. Thanks for taking time to answer mine. What hoop is that? I am thinking about putting a hoop and doing some bracing while doing the rust repair on mine. I have a friend who builds cages for jeeps and other off-road stuff.
  22. I am still trying to convince my wife that doing my project is a good idea.... and lets just say I am not having any luck. She would much rather have hardwood floors installed or a new washing machine!
  23. I did not think there was such a thing a a budget 240z build.....lol I am attempting the same thing. I have done it with a 240sx, but I do not think my Z project is gonna be on the same budget and I got my 240z for free!
  24. With the new retro style going on, i.e. Mustang and Camaro, Nissan could really capitalize on this. I am afraid it would hurt the sales of the 350z though, so in that case, there is no room in the Nissan line up. Nissan does however need a entry-level car to compete with that new rear wheel drive Hyundai.....Just a thought
