  3. I have mine on the back of the motor where the stock boost gauge was hooked up to.
  4. I used the stock Datsun trans mount it bolted right on the GTS 5 sprrd. Then I made new "ears" further back in the tunnel.

  8. No, they put a bit of a load against your car or some thing like that?? "some sort of extra rolling resistance" some thing like that. My brakes are fine...I think Well it pulls hard,. it is blistering my BFG drag radial and I have not even spun them hard. I should take a photo. And I now think LSD is over rated in a straight line. Hooks hard
  9. Well I got my car on the dyno and tuned it a bit, Hit 334HP @ the wheels. I think I can get some more out of it but I have to get my alternator working better. It was not charging well enough to keep the fuel pump happy. And I also want to look at the boost settings it was around 13psi. So we tuned it a bit rich 10 to 1, just to be safe. So when I iron out some more bugs I will re-tune it on the dyno. The other thing they told me was that there was a load on the rollers they were not free wheeling. I dont know a ton about this stuff????(what dose that mean?) but I would of liked to got another 50HP or so out of it

  11. In a junk yard....every one who has one knows they can get 400$ for it, but if you find one in a yard you could pick it up for as low as 60$.

  13. Thanks guys I think I found the problem (just got back from the dyno)..... Well we hooked up a wide band to the front and rear turbo, and the front bank was lean. so we switched the injectors from front to the rear and then the rear was lean, So the injectors must be pluged so I will have them cleaned and flow checked. the funny thing is I have new injectors, lines, pump & filter.... but the filter is a SS 100micron I guess i should use a 10micron paper one. Now I'm also running one infront of the pump just to be safe. Sorry no dyno results yet only had it up to 3300RPM or so..... next week we will see.

Lots of flow from the pump.And yes there is a filter before it... but not after it mind you I'm going to look at the injectors when I get up in the morning , I will also take off the fuel rail and look at the injector screens to see if the pump spit some thing out. Sorry for all the questions, but I would love to have it running like I did the first hour or two I had it out
  15. O.K, I tested the fuel regulator and it was showing 44psi @ idle or 15in of vacume and showing 50psi @ 0in of vacume when I reved it a bit. So I think the REG is fine, Then I tested the pump and it maxed out @ 92psi, so it is fine too. Now I am going to look at the injectors because when I unpluged on it still ran the same So now to check the Injectors...... Any tips??
  16. thanks for the help so far I will hook up a fuel pressure gauge tonight, I have RC 550cc injectors and the were running at 20-30% @ 1000-2000 rpm. It must be that reg... I have an autometer fuel pressure gauge I just have to tap into the rail.

  18. Ok I tuned in my SDS and the car was going fine & hitting HARD. Then the car started running lean, added fuel and still lean no mater how much fuel I add it is still lean @ 0-psi and 1000-2000RPM I had the MAP fuel at that spot rich like crazy and still lean. Checked my fuel filter and it is fine, I have a 700HP Aeromotive fuel pump and the fuel is dumping out like a fire hose. so I think it is my regulator but I dont have my fuel pressure gauge hooked up so I cant tell. Oh how I want to feel the rath of the RB26 again please help any ideas
  19. the SDS will work with the stock RB26: TPS, air temp, water temp, knock. you will need a MAP from SDS because the RB stock works on MAS

  21. R200 bolt in with some stock parts from a 280Z, you dont need LSD but it would be nice

I have a O.S twin plate clutch in my RB26 powered Z, just getting it running all that is left to do is flare the clutch line to fit the new Tilton 7/8 master cylinder and hook up the Lokar throttle cable… But my clutch is making a noise, not a bad noise but a little ringing noise. There is a lot of moving parts in this clutch so I wonder if this is normal. When I push in the clutch it stops. What could it be, is it normal? I will take a better look tomaro when I finish the little work to do. Oh on the good side, just got my down pipe on and boy let me tell you the sound of that RB through a SS 3†mandrel bent exhaust with an ultra flow muffler is unreal. 8)
