  1. I’m inching to do another swap. Now that the RB26 is running in my 240Z I feel the need to do some thing crazy again. This is what I have in mind… My brother has a 1971 Toyota Celica that is ready for paint, solid, shaved marker lights, straight and primed read to be sprayed. But now that he has a 350Z he dose not pay much attention to it any more. The old 4cyl is puffing blue so I was thinking of swapping in a Toyota V6 from a Tacoma or from other truck. I would like to stay with a Toyota power train and I would like a V6 not a turbo/high output 4cly. I know it is not a datsun but what do you think? Here is what a 71 Celica looks like ( looks like a mini Cuda I think)
  2. I dont have a T5 to look at to see if it fits, It is so close to the Nissan unit that if the T5 is any bigger it would not clear. I could make a T5 one with two 90deg bends to drop down in a shorted distance, but it would not flow as nice as the two 45deg bends.....
  3. kenafein240, I dont think I can get all the parts in mild steel, But if I can yes it would be cheaper 240hybrid, It is just tack welded with a TIG in the photo and will be fully purged welded with a TIG when it is done.
  4. The taper helps so you can get the bolts in, if it was 3" right off the flange the tube would be in the way of the bolt holes.
  5. I was thinking 275$ish and yes it is for the stock T3. Still have some more work to do, it is a tight fit around the nissan 5 speed. so I would also like to see how well it fits around a T5...
  6. I have made this prototype 3†T304 stainless down pipe for the Z car turbo swap. It is only tack welded right now for fitting reasons. Would any one be interested in buying one? I also might offer a V-band option to connect to the rest of the exhaust. It has a 1/2" thick flange then tapers from 2.5†to 3†before the bends. Let me know what you think.

    mustache bar

once you get the right m-bar keep in mind that the M-bar will now sit behind the two bars that hang down behind the diff, not infront like it did with your R180.
  8. My 225 BFG G-force drag radials and my RB26 don't seem to like each other
  9. yes it dose put the motor further back and yes you will need to get a custom drive shaft made, I used the front piece from a Z32.
  10. Dyno max Ultraflow is what I use.
  11. ZR8ED, that is $H!ttY of the cops to do that. Here in winnipeg we have a big problem on sundays with street racing. You should see it at 9:00PM on a sunday, it's crazy on the main streets down town it is so packed it is worse than rush hour. I would say about two times more cars than rush hour. I wish they would make a track closer. I have to drive 1hour (not that that is that bad) to get to a track that is getting worn out, it was an old air strip...
  12. I see that is going to be crazy Now I dont get the intake why two different ones? The first one dose not look like it is made for a single TB?? Or is it the other one you are using?
  13. Nice, are you making a new intake because the stock one would not fit? Or is there some other reason?
  14. I think he is talking about a full stainless steel system...
  15. Yeah I was telling ON3GO that it is hard to look at the gauges down in the consol, when I'm going down the 1/4 or just giving it anywhere. Up on the pillar it would be nice and easy to see.
  16. Thanks I was just hope'n that a pair from a junk yard would work, there is also an old Supra there with 4 lug, i wonder if that will work
  17. you can use a carb but it is not as good as EFI on a turbo set up, you dont have all the settings you can play with. "Maximum Boost" will also show you how to do carb set up, draw through or blow through.
  18. true, what about 300ZX 4 lug wheels? if it is a bit off I can shave off a bit off the mounting surface or use a small spacer to go the other way.
  19. mas280 what kind of 15x8 4.5 offset wheels did you get. I have a set of 26x9.5 hoosier quick time pros I need to stuff in. I was going to get a pair of 280ZXT wheels to try, they can be mounted on 6-8" wide wheels.
  20. I dont Rick might, I made mine (1973 240) they are like the stock ones in the tunnel, used with the stock trans mount. I do not make them because I know year to year the tunnel changed. As for the motor mounts I think they are all the same.
  21. If you have the spare cash and you are not happy with the lag, I would do it. As for HP# i dont know but turbos love free flowing exhaust What kind of muffler do you run?
