I generally call mine insulting names, like piece o junk, etc..., because I once bragged that it was reliable and never left me stranded. So to repay my compliments it refused to start. I got to keep this one on a short leash.
Car Mag Shootouts!
Did you see the Motortrend or C and D, they had a big shoot out. The cars typically cost $55000 ish total with all mods and delivered lame performance. The cars never seem to deliver. There was a 396 HP civic SI turbo (2525 lbs)that ran 13.5@106 and a 452HP Neon SRT that ran 13.4@112mph. That got me to thinking I must be putting doen around 750 HP with this new math...
I think I can run 10 inch springs instead of 8 inch (to prevent coil bind at 225lbs/inch), on the rear. I am running 17x9 with 245 40 17, coilovers, no flares. Is the perch slightly above the wheel? It look to be close. Let me know.
first show us the pics of the turbo
second if it needs a rebuild it is not worth rebuilding (cost wise) get one from the yard for $200 bucks. If you are doing a hybrid you have enough problems...
You can not live like this... How in world do you get to work, etc....Sell all cars but the GTO. Buy a newish 98 or newer for cheap. And pay off all tickets fines etc... And walk the straight and narrown so the law forgets who you even are.
83-93 mustang 5.0 5 spd
924 turbo porsche 1986 ish
monza 350 ci (california) mid 1970's
Any GSX or TSI
Turbo daytona's (lame FWD though)
87-92 RX-7 turbo II
280ZX Turbo 1983 ish
Any v8 GM car 1972 or older car that weighs less than 3500 lbs
In general the turbo cars will bleed you dry after you blow them up with too much boost.
Moderators delete this if this is not appropreate, but since they are almost impossible to find. I am selling my R230 Armada 2.94 ratio.
