  1. It's my ride. I have cleaned it so much more than this but here you go.
  2. LT-1 is so reliable compared to a highly stressed turbo engine. LT-1 is a great engine. I owned Lt-1 with a chip (worthless) and a Kand N it ran 13.5. Ablsolutey amazing engine. LS1 is even better. PS I built a LS1 and presently have a I6 Turbo 2jz_gte Supra powered 240Z. So starting out I cannot recommend a anything better than a modern GM v8.
  3. SPeeder It may work the only thing let is if the pinion interchangeable with each other. I had to shorten the input flange flange around .050" on a lathe also.
  4. That was what I wanted to do but By utlizing the armada case I saved the steps of setting up the pinion.

  6. If your car can break R200V/R230 axles with ease you need the Super-Duty R230 axles! I was found that the Armada R230 has larger output shafts, larger flange bolts, larger axles, same size cv case, 8 balls instead of 6. and a larger ball hub. I believe the output shafts slide right into a R230. The axles I assembled. Fithiest Job!

  10. I hope everyone does not have to strong of an opinion since they are very good cars that are very similar. I believe the evo is actually cheaper. Stock either car is great, but the evo mods easier.
  11. Well here is the scoop I just used an impact gun to remove a the input flange, then install another one. I want to know if I messed up the preload. I felt no change in the turning resistance.
  12. Does the R230 use a crush sleeve or shims to set pinion depth? Also what is the torque spec for the pinion nut?
  13. Well from that interesting article I do not see any advantage. Both intake systems performed similarly but the EFI will retain good mileage and emissions. Additionally the EFI in this case would cost less depending on if one reuses the tank, ecu, etc... It would be nice to see the EFI setup with the mods.
  14. FatMat or B-Quiet Ultimate? I searched Brown bread was reccommended but is no longer sold. FatMat looks lighter and cheaper, but I can not find it temp range, and B-quiet Ultimate looks more effective Let me know.
  15. I have a R230 from a 300ZX TT 3.69 R230 from a Armada 2.94 The housing are similar. The rear covers interchange. The ring gear bolt number and spacing is identical. So I swapped the LSD Carrier to the Armada case and gears. The 300ZX uses puny bolts (12mm shaft, Amarda 13MM), so I reamed the holes in the carrier to .515". I installed the whole setup and found that................ The set up will work but I need shims of ~1.6mm on the left and ~3.54mm on the right, but nissan only sells 2.0 mm-2.5 mm. The shims are 99mm in dia. The only other issue is the right bearing only is in contact with 2/3 rds of the machined case. This leaves 1/3 of it to float in air. I am not sure if this is significant. I may just put the Carrie and gears into the 300ZX Case. Does anyone know if the front lash is set by shims or a crush sleeve?

  18. Am I missing something. I drill them all the time, no cracks. I also see the bars for ~$15. At the pick and pulls all the time...
  19. I will but I have Armada axles I wanted to use up.
  20. I will check to see if the armada and 300 ZX TT gears work when I do the swap in the next month or so. And Q45s are R200s. You can see by the pictures they are tiny compared to real R230s.
