  1. 1.43 is a very good 60 ft. for motor only, 6.96 is getting it in this crappy weather for sure!
  2. I purchased a L76 6 liter with DOD, deleted the DOD when I did the cam swap. Was a piece of cake. I replaced all the lifters with new LS7 lifters for piece of mind.
  3. Nice project, keep us up to date!
  4. Get some sort of cage, 6 point or what ever, small price for your life. Oh, and pad it well!!!
  5. Nope, 300ZXT 3.70 rear end, with CV's and Modern Motorsport stub axles. I tried 200 lb springs and got to much squat.
  6. Cars on jack stands with wheels off right now but it looks pretty good, no issues that I can see. My old 2.5" exhaust cleared easily.
  7. Domzs: Here you go, pic's are not the greatest. Took them with my trusty Iphone 5
  8. Some pics of the group by headers made to fit my 4L80E. Also 3" dual exhaust, single muffler set up.
  9. Updates on the build, just finishing the wiring, now if the ECM/TCM would hurry up and return from Geoff and EPS. Should be up and running in the next couple of weeks.
  10. It's already gone, chick bought it and put a big block in it with two kits. I run around with the Fort Worth guys, he has a newer Mustang he is building. Should be out soon. The guy from Cali (Kelly 240Z) is one crazy sob. He took that car to Denton for the no prep deal a few yrs ago, lots of smashed cars.
  11. Sounds like fun, win or lose. I run a 250 lb 10" spring out back and it works well. Maybe a 200-225 lb spring will work better for you. Have you ever tried a Mickey Thompson drag radial, I run a 255/60-15 out back and love them.
  12. ^^^ I know a guy who came to a big money grudge race with a 240Z, 421 sbc 104mm single making 1400 plus rwhp, he used exhaust tubing and an exhaust pipe bender to make a cage just to race, he covered it up with foam so tech wouldn't catch it.
  13. I ran Spintechs and hated them, noisy and sounded like a truck. Sold them too a member some yrs ago.
  14. I paid a guy at Smiley's 600 bucks to do mine about 6 yrs ago. He did an awsome job and for 200 more would do a 10 point but for a street car with a 10 point is dangerous, one smack of the noggin on a bar with no helmet and your probably a gonner! Def. need some protection though!
  15. I just replaced mine when it acted up, lasted 7 yrs so I cannot complain.
  16. I have run as fast as 6.17 at 114 1/8th and 9.72 at 138 1/4 and to date they have left me alone with just a 6 point cage and 5 point harness. The funny thing is they have said I need full suite, gloves and neck restraint but nothing about adding loops to my 6 point.
  17. I cut my seat brackets and crap out and mounted the seat another way, I feel your pain...thank God for Advil!!!
  18. Got it mounted, used a Simpson Strong-Tie bracket, my wife will be thrilled as she works for them...LOL I may move it to the center a little more as it is too close to the trans tunnel, I think. Yeah, Boy from OZ threw me for a loop for a second or two when I first looked at the pictures.
  19. Thanks for the idea's and pic's, the 240 mounting area is tiny, and the original mount is square and protrudes 3/4" an inch from the fire wall. I think a small pice of channel steel may do the trick, nothing fancy, just copy what exists and add to the mounting surface for enough space to set it in properly.
  20. I wonder if the 240Z is different from the 280Z as the new pedal base is much longer than the original base mounting area. Mine is a Corvette pedal I believe, I purchased it with my harness from PSI.
  21. Who is using drive by wire and where/how did you mount the drive by wire gas pedal? I am hoping to have the car running by the end of next week and this is one of the last things I need to do. Any pictures? Thanks, Mike
