  1. Hey do any of you Cali folks know what the deal with Classic Datsun is? I've had several emails out to them since the middle of last week, and been trying to get them on the phone for the past two days. Doesn't help their voicemail mailbox is full lol. Are they still in business? I'm trying to snag a set of ZG flares, and I read on here that there was speculation they had a better set of molds than MSA. If I can't get ahold of them soon I'm just going to jump ship... not a very good way to gain business IMO.
  2. I've been thinking about picking up a Nook for it. You can "jailbreak" them to run apps on the android market, and it would be a lot nicer size than a smartphone. $250-300 range IIRC.
  3. Best shot i've got, but it's from a 90's integra, mounted on a 240sx trans with short shifter. Love the feel!
  4. Bringin this back! Just had a friend toss a box of RC stuff he didn't want my way, so maybe that will pull me out of my nearly two-year RC slump. Ended up with a .45 Evolution nitro trainer motor I might try to wrap a .40 size mid-wing ARF around, and an Exceed Eagle 50 heli that had some battle damage and therefore deserves a metal head upgrade and some TLC! I'll probalby just run the Eagle as a beater/trainer heli for friends... no way i'm letting them near my tricked out HDX-450! heh
  5. Awesome! I'm sending him a message asking if he has them available in any other colors, and i'm going to suggest putting on there that Datsuns will need 10mm spacers. He lists them in the title, so for buyers that didn't find it through this thread I don't want him getting in trouble.

  7. Cool, but why the hell did they use Wifi?? Bluetooth would've been a much more logical choice. I just bought the bluetooth module and it works GREAT with TunerStudio.
  8. Lack of interest?? I told him we could get plenty of people on here interested! Look how popular the RB-R's are. I see tons of non-Z people using them too.
  9. Someone posted that they're actually offering a 9" version as well... 17x9 et -5 17x9.5 et 0 I've been doing some reading and calculating, and it looks like these might fit. Here are my numbers: This might actually work out of the box, assuming you're running coilovers. I was reading that 280zforce was running some 10.5" wheels in the back that had a 5.3" backspacing... the same as the 9.5" RK-R's. The fronts are only 4.8" backspacing, easily usable with coilovers. Only thing is we'd be a little more sunk than the RB-R setup, and framerail/TC rod clearance would need to be checked. Opinions?
  10. Kim just emailed me back and said they are unwilling to produce the RK-R in the RB-R group buy size at this time or in the foreseeable future. Guess we're out of luck Guess the only option is to stagger 8.5 and 9.5 and run 5mm front 20mm back spacers... not sure that would exactly be optimal lol.

  13. More than interested. I've sent Kim countless emails, with no response past the first one.
  14. In Rota's pre-specified sizes, or has he made any mention of our custom sizes?
  15. I've emailed Kim several times over the past month, asking for updates. Have gotten nothing back since the initial reply.
  16. I wonder how the bias of this compares to the 240sx rear caliper option, and if this bracket is cross-compatible with the 280z.
  17. Some updates: I rebuilt my back brakes a few weeks ago, SUCH a difference. Actually brakes like a proper car now. After 3 years I finally got my coilovers. Total install took about 20 hours. It should be a pretty significant improvement, both in performance and safety. My left strut retainer was hand tight, and the right one was backed out enough I could move the strut up and down about 1/4" by hand. Guess I found my clunk! That and the left side was completely blown. The front should prove to be equally terrible, I won't be surprised if they're both blown. I did have to slot the hood to clear the strut tops, and though I haven't tried I don't think the adjusters will fit regardless. Minor detail. This also gave me a chance to install my AZC TC rods I've been sitting on for over a year now. Glad to be rid of the stock deathtraps. The difference driving the car is amazing! No more clunks over bumps, feels super tight, lack of body roll is amazing. It's stiff, but I don't think too stiff. It's a level I think I can live with on the street. It's really not all that much worse than my shitty cut springs I was running, just more precise. It feels a bit bouncy, but I've heard that'll subside once everything breaks in for a bit. I've been running it without the rear bar for now, and I think I'll need to upgrade my front. Can't wait to start playing with getting it dialed in. Just need an alignment now.
  18. Mine hit too, I just had to clearance the hood supports.
  19. Yeah if there is going to be as much lead time as there was with the RB's and RBR's, I want to get moving on this, haha.
  20. Has anyone talked to Kim yet about getting us a group buy for this? If not I'm going to email him.
  21. 16's are nice for looks, but you can't beat 17's for tire options. Hopefully we can get the choice of either.
