  1. Well, for what it's worth, for a week or two in January I had to actually roll the windows up on my Z, it was just a tad bit cool out
  2. I'm going to disagree with basically everything everyone said. If you want a Z in college: Go for it. That's what I did, and other than having to replace worn out tires and oil changes, it never was out of service for any length of time. That being said, if you want to drive a Z, make sure you get one that you *know* runs, and runs well, and *don't* try to modify it until you have another DD.
  3. I do love how they point out that it's still not worth what a real 432 is
  4. Some of us are unlcear as to what this..."snow"...is, care to englighten those of us that can drive our Zs all year?
  5. Davey, don't trust the tach untill you've confirmed it against someone else's or a GPS. They tend to be pretty optimistic
  6. I'm running a Rebello 63D cam, and it's quite streetable. The key to remember is that Zs don't need that much low end power since they're so light, and your rear end is going to help a great deal with that as well.
  7. Currently in the middle of a month long vacation before I start at Google. Then, if it all works out, after about a year I'll be off to curate for a new museum...
  8. IIRC, gas cylinder heads and diesel blocks result in an engine that is just tall enough to hit the hood.
  9. One thing I'm really not liking is that there doesn't seem to be any indicator 'in-thread' as to what posts are new since your last visit, which IIRC the old software did. Other than that, I'm betting all my confusion is just related to not knowing what to look for yet
  10. D - the cutaway DOHC is a S20, not a L series. Notice the dizzy is on the "wrong" side
  11. I used to be on here alot, but recently life + finding a new job has really cut my time down. I'm down to quickly scanning the forums after midnight, seeing if any thread titles catch my eye, and that's it. I'll probably be on more when my projects are actually moving :/
  12. I guess it just looked a little too "factory" to me to be a one off job. Ah well, that's life.
  13. I came across this picture on another forum, and was wondering if anyone knew where to get the hood: Thanks in advance guys.
  14. If you could get a space ship to c, I'd wonder why you were bothering with a flashlight at all, since you're drive signature would be huge But no, you wouldn't, you would get....a flashlight. Your own perception of light/time/etc wouldn't change, every one else's would. And this thread makes me glad I got a degree in history...though my wallet doesn't like it so much :/
  15. .....In a week or so I might PM you for an address to send a large box and on that vein, what IPs would be *most* useful to have pulled apart and modded?
  16. I think you meant to type: "Ok, I have read them and I'll keep them in mind, thanks."
  17. Parts for my diesel build. Which if I get the job I'm interviewing for thursday, is going to be both desperately needed in driving condition *and* be put on hold for lack of time
  18. You also need to have the stock ECU if I recall correctly (including all the fun cats and O2 and stuff). Best bet? Find a pre-75 somewhere
  19. In todays economy, Hoov is probably right. Back before the crash though I was usually seeing 500/carb prices on mikuni phhs, when I saw them for sale at all. If you can, I'd say keep them.
