  1. You gave up on it too early! It's sad to see such potential and design go to waste. It seems like all you need is the right fuel management and tuning to get it running good. Don't sell it!
  2. you'll be fine Gritz. I've seen trucks with way more driveshaft angle than you will ever have making huge power with no problems.
  3. looking nice Gritz! Yah its getting harder to find time to finish mine too. By the way, I like the Titan wheels on the Mighty Max, it looks sweet!
  4. Good call Gritz, the Taurus fan blow insane for a stock fan. I used one when I had my rb20det 240sx and it was great. Got it for 40$ at the junk yard. I am trying a spal fan for this time around though.
  5. Yah, getting the motor to run is the easy part, but I am running a painless type wiring harness for my interior/lights ect. which will take some time to complete.
  6. well, thats what I am doing right now. The interior is being done right now, and I hate doing it. I hate doing the cleaning ect.,but it will be running soon. The wiring is easy so i am not worried about that.
  7. you need to use 4 inner cv joints and boots from a q45. Then you can use mosier axle shafts from Modern Motorsports with their companion flange adapters.
  8. Wow, thats sweet! Super clean setup. How much power are you thinking?
  9. just letting you know, that the shifter extension is not needed, especially if you flip the shifter around. yah its overpriced, but who else makes one, and good luck finding one from a soarer trans as they are very rare. You need to figure in the price, and the amount of work and fabrication included in this piece to make this from a piece of aluminum. Driftmotion kicks ass!!!!
  10. I am talking about the one that extends it about an inch or so, its the one the guys use for their s300's w/ r154 trans from a supra. I never purchased the piece, so I don't have one I can sell you. I just flipped my short shifter around backwards and now it feels like a perfect reach. You can buy one from my buddy Aaron at Driftmotion.com , as he sells a custom extension for the r154.
  11. Well, I was going to use the Toyota Soarer shifter housing, but I actually like having the shifter a couple inches foward. It feels like it is in a good position for me. So I just welded in a plate to fix the shifter hole, and I need to take a trip to the junk yard to find a good boot and insulator from another car that will work well with this. Some pics-
  12. I was able to finish and mount the exhaust today since I got the driveshaft in. The exhaust tucks up perfectly and has lots of ground clearance. I painted it flat black so it doesn't attract too much attention even though its a full 3" turboback. Here are a couple of pics-
  13. I bought a prothane kit and it came with every bushing that you talked about. Not very fun to install though! I got it on ebay and it worked fine.

  15. the 240z stut mounts are definitely shorter. The best reason to use the 240z style mounts is so that you can gain more travel in the shock without hitting the bumpstop.
  16. well, I got my custom driveshaft. This thing is supposed to be basically bulletproof. Fits perfectly with no clearance issues at all. Some info for you guys, the toyota yoke and joint and also my infinity q45 yoke were non serviceable, so they guy had to find some stuff to use instead. I think he used Spicer stuff. So don't waste your time trying to use the factory joints. Here are a few pics.
  17. I running out of money for this beast!
  18. thanks for the info John. I know you are the suspension expert. I guess I'll see how it goes and if the shocks fail then I get something else, or change my spring rates. I got these springs, because I like a stiff ride. But for now, they will work.
  19. I am running a pretty built Toyota 1jz with a single turbo. And yes, I am worried about the TC rod setup, but I don't have the money now, but in the future I will take care of it. Here is a pic of the motor
  20. yah, I am running the hp's for now, but it feels very nice when pushing down on the suspension. Although have not been able to drive it yet. what are you worried about? too stiff?
  21. Hahaha! The doors are not bolted on in the car in the pic, and you can even see the right side door in the backround sitting on the floor. I justed wanted to see how it looked with the door sitting their.
  22. they are 16x8 zero offset, with 245/50/16's on all four corners. Had to roll the fenders too.
  23. Got the new wheels and suspension done finally. Ground control coilovers, Full poly bushing kit, modern motorsports adjustable control arms, Modern motorsports Q45 LSD setup with CV's, new ball joints, new bearings all around, and the new Sportmax 513's. Here are a few pics-
