I think you are onto something there. I would either get a machine shop to roll out a piece of sheet metal or as you said, cut a quarter section out of some tubing.
I have a set of clear headlight covers that I got from MSA in the winter. NIB, never installed or even set on the car to check the appearance. $60/shipped
If none of these fit your bill, I have an l28 that I pulled out of my Z. Runs great, and had some unknown head work done. Has a 6-2-1 header on it. Located in Albany, NY.
Bottom line...it blows. And it just so happens to lie in the only time period EVER where my Z doesn't have a garage bay. She has seen more rain in the past few weeks than she has in her entire lifetime. FML.
And when the rain is heavy, it will pool up in the passenger floor board....REALLY FML.
As for the rear, I am going to try to snug the 240z bumper right under the lip. I did a little "measuring" with my fingers at the show and it seems they stick out the same distance from the rear of the car.
And so I guess I am on the lookout for some 240z or early 260z bumpers. I already have a 240z front that needs some buffing and it has the holes. Ok? Or should I keep looking?
I have a '77 280z 2+2 and I am considering getting different bumpers to save me some weight. Here is a picture to show you guys what I am working with:
I am going to go with 240z/ early 260z bumpers but I don't know what type to go with.
-Fiberglass bumpers---> paint...but what color?
-Carbon Fiber bumpers
-Completely clean chrome bumpers
So please, voice your opinions and thanks!
I am running 245x45x16 tires. I guess just like every other sport, it is very hard to set up a car for everything. I usually run auto-x so these seem like a bad idea, but I am also getting into the drift scene.
So it seems I should just suck it up and go to the gym?
