  1. I think you are onto something there. I would either get a machine shop to roll out a piece of sheet metal or as you said, cut a quarter section out of some tubing.
  2. That is a win my friend...but, any thoughts as to what you are going to do with the bottom edge?
  3. Ahhh....the simplicity of building an L6.....awesome!
  4. I have a set of clear headlight covers that I got from MSA in the winter. NIB, never installed or even set on the car to check the appearance. $60/shipped
  5. Are you still looking? I have an l28 I pulled from my 77 and it is very healthy.
  6. If none of these fit your bill, I have an l28 that I pulled out of my Z. Runs great, and had some unknown head work done. Has a 6-2-1 header on it. Located in Albany, NY.
  7. Oh wow, interesting. Foreign parts to an s30 man. Thanks for that.
  8. The clean look is what I am aiming for. Do you have pictures of the rear bumper you have?
  9. do you have any pics of your Z i love the color !

  10. I have acheived one great thing....I got my Z back in the garage today!
  11. I would like to 2nd the view on the skeeters...I have enjoyed not having to scratch my arms 24/7.
  12. I actually bought this one already painted from a guy that works at a body shop. I don't know the paint code, but he said it was Lamborghini Yellow
  13. Bottom line...it blows. And it just so happens to lie in the only time period EVER where my Z doesn't have a garage bay. She has seen more rain in the past few weeks than she has in her entire lifetime. FML. And when the rain is heavy, it will pool up in the passenger floor board....REALLY FML.
  14. So bottom line is I should look for 260z brackets?
  15. As for the rear, I am going to try to snug the 240z bumper right under the lip. I did a little "measuring" with my fingers at the show and it seems they stick out the same distance from the rear of the car. And so I guess I am on the lookout for some 240z or early 260z bumpers. I already have a 240z front that needs some buffing and it has the holes. Ok? Or should I keep looking?
  16. I have a '77 280z 2+2 and I am considering getting different bumpers to save me some weight. Here is a picture to show you guys what I am working with: I am going to go with 240z/ early 260z bumpers but I don't know what type to go with. -Fiberglass bumpers---> paint...but what color? -Carbon Fiber bumpers -Completely clean chrome bumpers So please, voice your opinions and thanks!
  17. A quick eBay search for "autobot datsun", seaching title and descriptions, shows there was a 240z as well. Way cool.
  18. The looks of a Z with the sound of a viper v10.... ...the "I just messed myself" statement is an understatement!
  19. I'll try to get some footage when I go drifting next week and head up to the drag strip as well!
  20. BLUE??!?!?! NO NO NO....Lamborghini Yellow! ...just kidding Clive. But seriously, that is a sweet looking piece of machinery you got there!
  21. I am running 245x45x16 tires. I guess just like every other sport, it is very hard to set up a car for everything. I usually run auto-x so these seem like a bad idea, but I am also getting into the drift scene. So it seems I should just suck it up and go to the gym?
