  1. Is the 4-bolt pattern on the hot side the same 4-bolt pattern that comes on a stock turbo? It would be interesting so then people would not have to have a new downpipe made.
  2. Reading the posts on you two guys talking to one another, it sounds just like Chris and I when we are working on my car. I am always asking a ton of "dumb" questions and seem doubtful whenever a problem arises and Chris is the one to remain calm and always finds a way to make everything work. Haha.
  3. Yea, it seems that a few years ago an "engineer" was such a B.A. title, and now schools around the world are churning them out one after another.
  4. So far the CF bumpers for the future? Or are those the only bumpers for the car? (hint that I am kinda in the market for some nice chrome 240 bumpers)
  5. I am thinking he was saying to do that after the first 25-50 miles, not every 25-50 miles.
  6. Diff EQ- Did I mention there is no hw, no final, I can return my $220 textbook, and he drops the lowest text grade. The prof. also seems to be on drugs because he often giggles/laughes like a maniac and when a lawnmower goes by, he stops the lecture and watches it until it leaves his sight.
  7. Just finished day 2 of sophmore year. Strengths, Chem 1 (with all the freshies), Sports Psych, and Diff EQ.....fun stuff
  8. Alright, I haven't really analyzed the numbers lately but with me always wanting to drive in boost, I say I am averaging about 14mpg driving around town. Not sure about highway yet, because I just got a sweet 81 5-speed in the car and I am using my stock 3.54 r180
  9. With boost and a lead foot....I don't even want to talk about it.
  10. There is nothing more awesome than reading this post after a long day of classes...
  11. Scam, no doubt about it. I have gotten atleast 30+ emails just like this in the past month and as soon as they say they can't come look at it, talk about shipping, being on their bank account, and refer to it as an "item"...you know it's a scam.
  12. This brings to mind an episode of Trucks, or maybe it was Gearz...but the Stacy guy used a clamp-type thingy that was attached to a pneumatic ram and it would clamp down on something like that and pull it back out to spec. They were doing this repair on a Jeep with a front end collision.
  13. Like this one? http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062325
  14. That is the part, yes. I believe not only is there a white wire coming out of it, but also a blue wire. If you can locate this part it would be greatly appreciated.
  15. I honestly don't have pics, and I am at school. I am sure you can find some from the Zedd Findings site. Sorry.
  16. Hey guys, I finished up my turbo swap into my '77 and I am in need of the tach resistor that is under the dash of the 280zxt (not sure if the NA has one) This is what it looks like: -thanks, Adam
  17. I suggest that you can ahold of a timing light and see what your timing is as. From there adjust it to spec by turning the distributor.
  18. I have replacement front frame rails. Brand new and never used. Zedd Findings rails. $200+shipping
  19. Ended up being a bad AFM. Mods, feel free to delete.
  20. So perhaps my turbo is not a lost cause. Get it welded and then have it rebuilt. Nice!
  21. Good to see the cracks can be welded for my turbo has the same thing. But, does this really effect the turbo much? It seems all it might do is limit boost slightly.
  22. Here is a scenario for you Grumpy... On Monday I finally got around to getting my intake filter for my turbo out of the engine back and out in front of the car. After finishing the install I took it out for a drive until it warmed up, and then I nailed it. Immediately I noticed it is hesitating really bad. I checked timing, its good; checked piping for leaks, same thing. I see no corrosion on any electrical points. The car ran excellent up until this install. The car currently drives around find and the problem only arises when you go to punch it. EDIT: thought I would mention this is an l28et swap from an '82 I believe into a '77 280z
