  1. Yup, 2:17 and still kickin EDIT: GREAT video! Well put together and great jump!
  2. Very nice photos! Here in Troy, NY it is 13* but for some reason it is going to be 50* on Wednesday???
  3. Not to neglect some of the issues described above, but the "ticking" noise has happened to me before at the turn of the ignition. The deal was a bad connection from the ignition to the starter (its that little wire that plugs into the top of the starter). Test that wire for conductivity and replace it if needed.
  4. If you are not going to drive a ton, then registering the vehicle as "historic" will save you a bunch of money. I am paying $150 every six months for my Z.
  5. I really wish I could follow design of the beautiful pearl yellow Z pictured above... I just don't have the heart to touch the body to add the flares and spoiler. ...but as to the topic of painting a Z yellow, go for it!
  6. None in the HybridZ gallery, just up on the photobucket.
  7. here is another lambo yellow....my lambo yellow
  8. Does anyone know of anything in the legal system that this guy can use? This just seems very wrong. I had a very similar scenario happen to me last fall during a supercharger install. Was quoted at $1800 and a week and a half of labor. It turned into 5 weeks, a failed install, and me bringing the car home for some DIY
  9. Not just that, but the round plate inside of the opening would become stuck to the tb on occasion. The stocker was cursed.
  10. That is true, I just haven't had the time recently and even if there is a rough opening, I have still noticed increased throttle response. My stock 50mm was in pretty rough shape.
  11. Reading this short post clearly shows why I detonated my supercharged 2000 Malibu so quickly, haha...
  12. Nice work man! Looks identical to what I am doing at the moment as far as tearing down a turbo motor and cleaning it all up. Just let me say that a few of the parts are going to be a pain to sand blast and when you blow your nose afterwords you will most likely have some dark tissues Good luck with the build!
  13. Unfortunately I do not know the name of the part, or the part number. Is there a junkyard near you? I believe that would be your best bet unless you can find the part in a store.
  14. I believe I am having the same surge that you are having. While under a load at low speed you will get a really lopey idle or something like that? I have just thrown on the tb without porting. I am holding off on it until I do my motor swap with my other intake manifold.
  15. Oh I see now, you want the clear plastic piece that hooks onto those prongs there and holds all of the wires together? I am pretty sure I have one of those. I'll just have to cut it off of my parts car when I am home this weekend
  16. I would agree that with a few simple straps, that should be fine. It looks a lot better than how I transported the turbo motor i picked up....imagine one of those standing up as it would in the engine compartment, sitting on slick plywood, only held in place with a single strap...not fun
  17. I am lost, are you just looking to replace the part that is screwed onto the back of the ignition where all of the wires hook into? If that is what you are looking for, I have a spare
  18. That is pretty much all I have had to eat for the past 24 hours, every meal, and it never gets old...
  19. Oh, that would make a lot more sense. ...now another reason that Japanese cars are better
  20. It does...only downside IMO was finding a fifth gear...240's only had a 4 speed!
  21. There is a member that has adapted this s/c setup to run on an l28. Not sure if it was a turbo motor or not. You can find the thread in the "turbo/supercharger" area.
  22. I can't wait to see this on your car...and now that I have seen this I am craving twin turbos, even though I don't even have my single turbo finished yet...haha
  23. I am very jealous of your find sir...not only is it rare to find a rust free Z in the Northeast, but to find one that is modded out...... wow
  24. Corvette you say? For a while I thought they were from a Skyline
