  1. It was a pig...but then again I only drove it on city streets for less than 5 minutes so I think I need more seat time. I got it up to 80 though
  2. That's correct folks...today I drove the 2009 Camaro which was brought to my school from GM. It was only a v6 auto, but boy was it fun. We got to beat the piss out of it and they didn't even care! Made my day!
  3. I see that, but I still need the part.
  4. my buddy says: Left kick panel, under dash, over ECU. Small metal box @ 4" x 4". eight pin plug
  5. Alright guys, once again I am in search of a missing part for my turbo swap. I have no idea what this part is, but I am told to find one. '82-83' zxt Trying desperately to get this done by next Saturday. Let me also state that I have absolutely no cash left for this build so a deal/donation would be GREATLY appreciated. Please let me know! -thanks!
  6. Isn't there 3 stages to achieve max torque? I don't have my manual handy, but I thought it was like 20, 40, then max? Those numbers are probably off, but I was certain the manual said 3 stages.
  7. For the time being I am going to borrow some from a friend that is rebuilding a turbo motor. Once my motor is set with injectors, I will see what the official damage is and if it is infact only two we can do the (2) to Challenger and (2) to me. Sound ok?
  8. In the midst of my turbo build I discovered a few of the injectors were cracked near the tip. As of now only 2 are damaged, but some may be soon to follow. Whatever you have kickin around, please let me know!! thanks!
  9. I bought from a fellow member and it appears that I have been played. No contact and no product so I am still on the lookout. I need a stock 280zxt actuator asap! If you have the bolts and hoses that connect to it that would be great. As I have been played and the situation is not resolved as of yet, I am low on funds so a bargain will be greatly appreciated. Please let me know, I need to finish my swap in less than a week! Thanks!
  10. Not sure if this is the correct location, but here it goes... I am just wondering what everyone's opinion is on the way thumbnails are now viewed in a post. Perhaps I missed something, but I thought when you used to click on them they would appear in a new window. Now, the screen darkens and the imagine appears in the center of the screen. Is it just me, or was the older system much nicer? You could keep an image open and then navigate away from the source of Hybrid Z. Have I missed something? Is there still a way to open the image in a new window? Sorry if I am stepping on toes...
  11. YES!! Finally someone understands! I know you usually have a good deal of turbo parts, do you have spares of these parts? I have to have the car running by the 28th. First auto-x of the season.
  12. not sure on the shaft, i am at school at the moment. as for the fitting, i am trying to hook it up to the turbo, not the block
  13. I am missing everything that it takes to make the loop join to the turbo
  14. Yes, I am sure the turbo is not in upside down. Both the top and bottom oil line junctions have a hole in the middle with bolt holes on the sides
  15. i have the oil line that goes around the rear of the block and to the top of the turbo. i need the piece that fits the oil line to the top of the turbo. i am trying to get this swap done in the next two weeks for the next autocross. HELP!!
  16. HAHA! Perfect way to respond to that video. Great work you guys!
  17. buddy of mine is possibly dealing with a warped head and is looking for a replacement. 99% sure. car is an '82 zxt. if anyone has a head in decent shape and can offer a bargain, please let me know -thanks
  18. Man, that is epic. He was probably thinkin to himself, "Man, I'm such a badass!"
  19. I'm 19 and got my first Z when I just turned 17. I was looking for a car to work on as a project because it really sucked trying to upgrade your dd and worry about having it ready at a moments notice. So I searched ebay and there she was....a '78 2+2 less than 10 minutes from my place and like everyone says, LOVE at first site. Bought her for $1200 two days later. She didn't look pretty but she had great mechanics. Then found out she was extremely rusted and came across another z, a '77 2+2. This time from Florida with a mint body and freshly painted a lamborghini yellow. bought her this time ONE day later for $3800. Took the motor, suspension, and interior from the white car and swapped it into this one. Stored the good sheet metal from the white car for the future. Got the yellow car up and running in about 2 weeks of spare time (also spent my whole spring break on her ). this is her as i got her (minus the nice front wheels) Now she has coilover suspension, roll bar, bigger sway bars, seats/harnesses, happy new bushings all around, an airdam, and a turbo swap in progress! I wonder if the original owner knows what I have done in less than a year.
  20. Truly an awesome build! Bravo! Fast, efficient, clean, and purs like a kitten...JEALOUS
  21. You are going to use everything for the turbo swap yeah?
  22. I personally would back up the thoughts on the g35. It has a luxurious look, but has the sport of a 350. Best of both worlds. Stick to your guns, Nissan/Infiniti!
  23. So you say you did do the steering rack bushings? hm...I was almost certain that was the issue because my car was the same way when I had stock bushings. As for the speeding, haha...I had mine to 105 with a bad coupler, rack bushings, toe out, and a steering wheel that flexed with every turn. Talk about crazy.
