  1. I know this is not a Z part, but I know many of you guys drive them and I need your help. I just purchased a '92 240sx and just like every other s13, the rear hatch is rusted. I have searched craigslist as well as ebay with no luck. Color does not matter to me, all that matters is that is is not rusted out. I am also trying to fix this car on the cheap. So if anyone has one or knows where one is, please let me know. I have found one in a junkyard an hour from me for $200, so if anyone has one for less please let me know. Also looking for some dark brown door panels, hatch struts, lock set, and steering wheel -thanks a lot guys, I am looking forward to getting this car ready as my dd
  2. I feel bad about putting this out there....my automatic 77 2+2 consistently ran a 17.2.
  3. That is epic! It shall be hard to top that one
  4. Sure glad he's ok...I can only imagine the force required to do some damage like that! Keep us posted.
  5. Hello to all you 350z owners out there, I was wondering if you could measure the dimensions to your headlights. I had a thought about molding one into an old s30 headlight bucket, I just need to know the dimensions to see if it would work. thanks
  6. vihn, if you need it i have a junk n/a motor as well as a complete n/a motor that i am pulling from my car to make room for the turbo
  7. I am also very tempted seeing as my dd just gave out....hm.... It is either this or a 240sx for $2k
  8. Scary indeed...I just found out that a house I deliver pizza to is secretly stocking up on weaponry...yikes! http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=205292
  9. enlighten me... and I might be exaggerating with the 3" mark, I honestly don't remember what the ride height was before because the car was up on jack stands for so long.
  10. I think I have an answer for inexpensive suspension.... Two months ago I purchased the Cosmo Racing coilover kit for the Z and worked on it little by little in my buddies garage. The kit comes with everything to put the adjustable sleeves and springs onto a stock strut setup. The other thing I purchased was adjustable camber bushings for the front and rear of the car which can be bought through MSA. The cosmo kit was about $200 and the bushing total was about $1~~. something. Other bushings that were a good idea while the suspension was off was new mustache bar bushings, tension rod bushings, and new sway bar bushings; make sure to grease the areas needed. Just finished two days ago and the end result it great. The car is lowered close to 3 inches with no rub anywhere, no body roll has been noticed, and the suspension is a LOT stiffer. You do feel every bump in the road, but the handling of the car is worth it. So for less than $500 I am left with a pretty sweet budget racer. thoughts? Hope that helps.
  11. Just drove my Z for the first time in over 2 months and boy did it feel great. I got all the suspension done and it handles like it is on rails! Zero body roll and I still have plenty of clearance everywhere!
  12. As of right now, a '77 2+2 280z that is where all my money goes and a '78 2+2 280z parts car that really has no parts let on it, haha. I really want to get more parts car to make some $$
  13. Z are here...just have to search. With my luck I only find rusty coupes and good condition 2+2's
  14. Merry Christmas everyone! I myself finally got gtr2 with the Momo wheel...much more z stuff is to follow
  15. It seems as if I am the only one who is diggin the weather...probably will be back at the mountain tonight shredding it up! 1 tuff z--is that z your winter beater? I have always wondered what it would be like to drive a z in the winter...but to brighten up, are you ready for gtr2?!?!?
  16. Yea, that snow can be a pain. I have basically finished my suspension in my friends garage, almost ready to drive it home, and then what happens? SALT
  17. It is the numbers that got me...haha...the anticipation of him trying to say 100 was epic! I couldn't wait to hear him say "TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN!"
  18. On that note, I believe that a solid black wheel would be pretty sweet on your car. The question is, flat or gloss?
  19. I would second the opinion on the 002's, I sport a set of the silver ones and they are sharp! Nice lip too... question though, is your trim chrome or black? I would match the wheels to the trim as far as color goes
  20. Mods, feel free to delete this if need be, perhaps I am not searching with the correct criteria. I have searched in the Drivetrain section under "automatic transmission" and "automatic transmission electronic" with nothing to assist me. I am looking into the paddle shifters ( http://twistmachine.com/shopping/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=7 ) and in order to go this route I would need to know if the auto tranny in the z is electronic or mechanical(such thing as a mechanical one?). I honestly do not know how an automatic transmission works, so any information will be greatly appreciated, including any information about the kit linked to above. -thanks
  21. Lucky you...I have one more final on Monday at 8am. And how is your project coming man?
  22. ...I'm still workin on finishing up my coilover suspension. also still working on my turbo rebuild
