  1. do you mean pics of the actual coils in place? {edit} because i don't have any at the moment due to it no being on right (its producing positive camber and i didn't have my tools with me to fix it :<) {/edit}
  2. this is my mates car that i am assisting in building. what do you think? the J REX photo bucket album
  3. i was thinking of using these threads for insperation LCA FAQ on hybridz home made LCA's on hybridz
  4. hey i have just put s13 coil overs on all four corners and i was amazed how everything just bolts in, and i have come to the point that i knew was going to be an issue after reading your write up, now the problem is the front camber and as you say the ball joint needs to go out a fair bit and we didnt bother fixing this issue at the moment we just put the camber tops at the max negative they could go and bolted it in (this car isnt on the road at this point in time) but its a few degrees positive camber at the moment as expected. now i had seen your way of fixing this issue and the other guys piped in about adjustable LCA's and i was wondering if anyone has made adjustable LCA's for their car? if any one has made adjustable LCA's for their car i would love to see them, if not ill post up pics of the ones that we make :>
  5. not sure if anyone cares but i went out and bought the cheapest clutch i could (it had the same "spec's" as the exedy clutch) and installed it and has the lightest feel to it, almost like its not there but its been going hard for 6months or so and i am not kind to it in the slightest.

  7. no unfortunately that project keeps getting pushed back :< i am still making the manifold/adapter but thats really only an hour or so of work and some machining away from being done, but the engine/car need more molestation before i can use it so its on the back burner
  8. im no one to take guidance from but IMO VQ > VG, the VG's in my area IMO are sad and under powered but i havent spent time with them and the people around me doing high powered nissan V6 swaps are all using VQ's i myself am attempting to use a VQ30 turbo on my RB20DET powered 280ZX build aluminium block aluminium head (correct me if i am wrong) not much weight, 3L and 6cyl whats not to like
  9. these cars are seen to be and ugly old car where i live and most ppl i talk to on international forums tend to think the same way sorry but it seems most people have no interest, me i think they are pretty cool :>
  10. balance balance balance :> that where i will be putting all my money with my stroker :> sounds like you are going to have lots of fun with this
  11. tony full respect, and nuztome creativity yes maybe but the rest screams money to me (due to the fact ppl who can produce creativity in the physical form tend to get money and so to have creativity is to have money whether or not you made what you have...) and IMO this guy in one way or another has seen the door with cobwebs that says "other than the norm" and opened it i give this guy a +10 for everything his S130 advertising to his crazy colour scheme he has made fun of an un-liked car and i praise him :>
  12. ^^^^second third and forth that
  13. me and my mate has s130's and i dont see the issue with drifting his is a stock s130 with newer springs... he is a really good driver and has no issue drifting his car any time and i feel real comfortable getting the back end out but as im still learning and most of my car doesn't work i try not to get too serious {but i intend on drifting/ racing it once i get the rb20 + suspension into it}
  14. how many layers do you intend on using? also are you using a heat resistant resin?
  15. this is my VQ30 turbo positioned as close as it can be if the mating surfaces are to be parallel and the standard turbo in position and this is the two turbos side by side (VQ30 turbo on the left and RB20 turbo on the right)
  16. how do you mean its a direct swap? because i can not seem to get it to fit on the stock manifold at all i will post pictures soon to show you what i mean :>
  17. hi while I'm not new to this forum I am new to turbo cars, I have started an RB20DET swap into a S130 (1983 RHD). I may be a bit to ambitious for the lack of knowledge I have of turbos and forced induction. I have done a fair amount of looking for answers but none of the ones i found seem to answer my questions. my plan is to attach a VQ30DET turbo to my RB20DET from what i have heard its not "too hard" to attach it to the standard manifold you just need a spacer. But since i went out and bought one i have found that there is about 5 inch's between turbo inlet and manifold outlet and it seems odd to me to have a spacer that big. what I would like to know is has anyone done this mod? is it going to be easier to make a custom manifold? or can i get away wit using the standard manifold and make some sort of short pipe between the manifold and turbo? any help is very appreciated.
  18. hummm me and my house mate are considering it but we want to use them for our quick little turbo 280zx's that are often raced and need to be strong and we want to know from people who have put these rims through their trials, can they take the beating?
  19. there apparently is a guy in Australia who did a AWD GT-R conversion on a zed and from what Ive heard it wasn't really worth the effort. i know this doesn't really help but i just thought id mention it

  21. yer sry posted in a rush, i dont remember the problem but it was set up wrong and didnt work, it was shelved and the parts are in several places at the moment. he said he would have no problem getting it to work now as he knows how to set it up properly being more experienced these days but there is little point with todays technology. these are the only pics ive seen and i didnt really ask bout the specifics but as you can imagine there was alot of costom bits :>
  22. a friend of mine was showing me some pictures of what he was doing 25 odd years ago and i thought id show them around :> it was a L24 with a diesel supercharger and two 1 3/4" SU's he said it was planed for a 240z. i hope you enjoy :>
