  1. Yes, sorry should of mentioned he was using S13 coil over front and back. :>
  2. Well i don't think there is a special trick between one car and another. I have done it with a mate of mine and some fine wire but not successfully... But maybe if you are nice and careful or pay a professional you should have it out with little worries :>
  3. That may be true it was a while since i measured it up. But i do know for sure the 10" at -19 offset had ton's of room. I was almost certain that there was more than 2cm of room behind the wheel. Mind you he is running S13 suspension. :>
  4. If it helps 10" wide rims "should" fit all around at 0 offset. My mate used 10" wide at -19 offset and puffed fenders it was hot :>
  5. Is it legal to have the front with a different rolling diameter than the rear in USA?
  6. i tested the camber tops at full travel and it needed cutting to get full travel :< the spring wont seat in the strut tops :< was just going to go 2 hole and put a strut brace in (my rear is striped) so when mr officer looks in all he sees is 2 bolt holes not 4... :>
  7. you could always use a spacer so the camber adjust bolts clear. most camber plates have long bolts for strut bars im unsure of your specific combination but i have not had much luck combining my tanabe s13 rear coilovers and pedders strut tops :>
  8. that pic is of my mates one i found some shocks at the wreckers and now his and mine go up by them selves its so much better :> and 260det you mean the 2+2 is the station wagon model right? humm well i spose they are a good car to go camping in (just remember you have to cover the floor with something, i have a half striped car and the stuff on the floor leaves wicked marks when you sleep on it...)
  9. auto-barn in australia sells one its about $100
  10. if you go about doing a short nose r200 on the standard cross member i would be interested as im looking at doing it to my car :> this is how the 1600 guys do it http://www.datsunbluebird.com/Registry/JeffAusieWhite.htm and there cross member is a bit different but the idea is the same :> im trying to get a removable bracket made up
  11. hey just thought id see how inventive people can get with the space they are given. i can't afford any more car's (i own 6 and a bike) and i don't have a ute or a trailer so i use my 280zx as a ute. most people don't believe what can be fit into it so i thought id post up a thread to display the usefulness of the S130. engine crane does fit but in this pic it is put in the wrong way around :< ive also had a whole R33 skyline rear cradle in the back (fits only just) had a roller door (stuck out a bit but was fine should of taken out the passenger seat...) have had the engine crane in the back quite a bit recently and can put it in and out with out assistance (its still real heavy tho) sorry i don't have the pictures my other computer chrashed :<
  12. whats the difference between XXR's and ROTA's ? and for that mater performance superlites. they are all practially the same design so should be as good as each other although word of mouth seams to say that the order of quality is 1st superlites 2nd ROTA 3rd XXR but there isnt any prof... i would love superlites in 15x10 0 to -20 offset for my S130 as long as they clear Z32 brakes on a S13 spindle/hub its all good :>
  13. well i don't know much about american cars but i thought there was some old mustangs that came with straight 6's, is that wrong? none the less you can make anything go into anything given money, time and effort :>
  14. nice work on being different :> my mate has always thought the XR6 turbo engine would go nice in a mustang, and given its a 4 liter straight 6 turbo wouldnt be to out of place in a Z :>
  15. i was talking to a HR31 passage owner and he said that the R32 skyline rear breaks are a straight fit on his rear cradle and i know a few people use HR31 rear cradles in there S130's due to them being "the same" i have not had a chance to verify this as being an option for S130's..

  17. thats cool i just thought i might mention it :> it should look pretty sweet
  18. although the standard is pretty good, i upgraded to lukey's and didnt notice anything :/ lucky they were free :>
  19. personally i have alpine SD splits, MB Quart 200w ish amp, pioneer head deck with pre outs and its perfect the sound is balanced and sharp with a good kick in the back when the bass hits. i tried a 10" sub and amp but it was way too much bass even on minim gain, my car is partially striped so that may have something to do with it but these 2 speakers are more than enough i even took the focals out of the front :>
  20. this seems unrelated but still its low and i hope pure Pontiac kid see's this http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/blog/2010/08/23/shakotan-s130/
  21. well the half shafts will be sorted when he gets all the bits but i think it'll be R32 diff flange + inner cv on S130 shafts however it can be managed :>
  22. i believe he will be using a cusco clsd
  23. this car is my mates and it is going to be entering drift competitions and as you can imagine when your at a multi day meet far from home and you break something custom not only do you have to find someone to help fix the problem but as its normally a weekend it is big dollars to get your car working for the next day. so with that in mind its best to run as many common to find / easy to replace parts, i would have installed the R33 rear cradle but time is playing a big key and this is much less of an under-taking :> on my own car that wont be pushed as hard i most likely will just swap centers but this isn't just a comfy run around, this car is going to cop a lot of pain :< also whats wrong with being different tee hee
