I'm all down with the 3" though the most bang for the buck is a cheap Boost controller ( at $7 at grainger 'grainger valve) or for like 10 on ebay, jank it in there set it at 10 and off you go. you might want to buy a aftermarket boostgauge, since the stock unit just is a nice ad on in the dash!! though if you look in the archieves for JEffp, he made a system that added 20 HP on stock car!

  5. From my book, how to modify your Datsun OHC engine, i remember that this engine was indeed fittet on a plate, and in an angle, not mounted straight as our stock Z, i think it would be a job to make it fit! any pics of this headers attached to an engine?

  7. My tranny cooler ( eurospecs have them stock) are smaller in diameter than my OIl cooler.. my engine oilcooler has close to 10mm tubing, as where the tranny only uses something like 6mm

  9. well either the picture is flipped, or and this could be.. they used a diffrent cross flow set up head, i read about datsun race cars using a napz style cross flow set up, but only in the 200sx, maybe electramotive did to, though i believe the used a normal style z head, so that would make it a flipped picture.. any logic to this above... however where did you found these, are the actually electramotive headers, and where does the turbo go? sorry confused here

  14. But what can teh diff and BW handle... I will be running 15PSi boost on the stock turbo IC BOV 370CC injectors 2+2 flywheel and clutch on BW t5, a r200 3.364 LSD how much can it hanle, im looking for 270 rwhp first, when i burn the turbo i'll go T04 and Megasquirt so what can it handle
  15. I think that would be a thing, the weight and diameter! I'm not saying Scam, it is actually pretty funny to read the MSA catalouge, for instance :"this exhaust system give that deep European tone" ???? what is a European tone? or; 'ad this for European styling'?? My point beying not the fact that it is a scam, but that US marketing is very European styling directed, to make it sound exclusive...just funny to see, that most of the times, the stuff told to be European is not european by far most . However i think than the weight has to be diffrent...
  16. I'm allmost willing to raise the B.S flag!! I know nismo called it a euro damper, but i know these cars did came with two groves in europe too. I will look into it tommorw, since i own two eurospec (280zx's) and one with no PS (so single grove righ!) and have several eurospecs spare engines! i have seen euro 240z's with twin groves.., did we stumble upon a scam ..... I think it is also a way to sell stuff.. like euro lences (altezzas) not euro at all hope it helps i'll post more when i checked, but i know they have two groves in holland too INTRESTING!! Frank

  18. id say go l28et, but that is because i'm addicted to boost, the feel, the sound, the system... etc... but i would go for a ride to decide too!

  22. i still think you better stick with the l28ET since it can make 300 to 400 HP if you want that, and is plug and play as where w a lot higher maintance vgdet engine does not, it makes around 200 HP in stock form on the us market and 229 on the european market. there is in my opinion no advantage as being a better power platform between a vg ar a L engine, at least not big enough to go through all the hassle, when you would swap 300ZXTT ok. or RB but atherwhise why create $$ problems If you really want to have a good ( ok this is disputable guys) swap, swap to l28ET with a 83 T5 trans r200 (LSD )out of a 86t ( in europe they have LSD in 86 dont know how it is in the states any input?) get some good utherane bushings and shocks an IC, raise the boost to 15 orso and have fun that will get you close to 200 on the wheels. when you or your dad for that matter gets bored with it, get some bigger injectors a megasquirt system, a t03/04 turbo, and the sky is the limit (300> HP) even 500 to 600 is possible ( JEFFP) all on a l28et why go hassle for same power you can get plug and play? let us know
  23. well let me tell you this, a Eurospec ZXT makes 200HP as where a US model makes 185, all that is diffrent between em is that smog stuff so..... do the math, the l280 have no internal stuff sofar jank it OFF frank
  24. This is some nice stuff, i can almost say i never heard a z running better, i runs smoother and gets better MPG over stock, plus you eliminate the 'evil' AFM. THis seems since it is very cheap compared to other systems on the market, like SDS i was planning on my ZXT, the way to go. I will first built it on my HI COMP f54 flat piston N42 head combo, and figure it out, but then i plan to built it on my ZXT anyone did this on a ZXT?
