  1. Your fan clutch is probably seized. Search on rebuilding Fan clutch. Common problem and a lot easier to fix than you would imagine.
  2. Nice! Looking good. Any rubbing? I sometimes regret not opting for coilovers. I would have definately gone that rout if it wasn't my daily driver at the time. Oh and I like pics and a video!! haha
  3. I'm guessing that they would have 2 part numbers. They go on a specific way and one will be a mirror image of the other. Like a left shoe and a right shoe.
  4. I spotted the one and only Kia Sportage at the junk yard today as soon as I walked in!! haha. Got a decent set for $7! haha. Half price sell today.
  5. Definately a sweet looking car ROVdriver. To bad I couldn't understand any of the build thread. But the pics were sweet. You should start one here. By the way, what brake setup are you running. Looks like something I would consider.
  6. I thought about that as well. But the MM rear is still 11.4 inches. I'm not sure what size the fron MM kit is. I'm thinking of either going with the AZ fronts and Silvermine rears to keep the parking brake. Or just get the full AZ kit. I would also like to find out more about the Cobra kit.
  7. Congrats and welcome to H-Town!! This is the time of year we get to brag about our weather! Enjoy it!
  8. The silvermine kit lists 10.8" Front and 11.8" in the Rear. If it were reversed I think I would have already bought them.
  9. Is it possible to install the Toyota calipers with a 12" rotor? My car is going to mostly be a street car, but damn it, I wan't it to look good. 10" Rotors look to small. especially with 17" wheels.
  10. Is there anyway to put 12" rotors on the front with the stage 4 kit?
  11. I like the Toyota Calipers, but am looking to fill in my 17" Rota RBr with something bigger than an 11" Rotor. Looks really small, since its actually smaller than 11".
  12. Are the front rotors on the Stage 4 Kit smaller than the rear?
  13. I got to remember this when I go to the Junk Yard again.
  14. I just got doing this on my Z today. Working on replacing all the bushings. I used a pickle fork and a hammer. It helps to raise the front suspension with a jack a little and give the tie rod end a little room to move downward.
  15. You will have to use a ball joint separator. If you are not going to reuse them you can always use a sledge hammer to separate them. But this could mushroom the threads if you are going to use it again.
  16. I'm definately interested in this. Since i'm pretty much local and am about to do my bushings! Just been procrastonating and gathering parts.
  17. Mine was really loose and I installed a nylon shifter bushing and it really felt like a different tranny. Really nice and smooth. I've heard that sometimes the brass bushing can rattle a little. Not sure if thats true. But my nylon bushing is nice and if it ever fails again its really a cheap and easy part to replace.
  18. That, I do not know. I couldn't imagine that they would be that different. I'm sure there is some threads about it.
  19. Go check the classified ads at ClassicZCars.com. Someone just posted one for sale pretty cheap. Wish I had waited for mine. I just bought a set.
  20. PocketDyno uses the accelerometer to measure 60', 1/8, and 1/4 mile times with trap speeds. Also will give you a rear wheel horsepower if you pay for the real version and input your vehicle and weight. Its very similar to Dynolicious. Another iPhone app. There are also some that use both the accelerometer and GSP to give you the same data. I'm sure that this app is not 100% accurate and you can definately find better apps. But for a free download, I had plenty of fun with the PocketDyno and would use it to help me with future upgrades to see if it makes a difference.
  21. I've always been a Blackberry fan. And love the e-mail/phone capabilities of my Curve. I also know that Microsoft has payed a lot of bills over the years. Since i'm in IT. But i'm getting tired of seeing my friends brag about their little iPhone apps! I'm jealous now!! I bought my daughter an iTouch Ipod and was playing with it and definately see why so many people have them. I installed a free trail app of Pocket Dyno and tested it in my Z. It was pretty close to what it actually ran in the 1/4 mile. Then my daughter took it away from me, deleted the app, and put a password on it!! Now I want an iPhone!!
  22. I'm usually on supraforums and supramania, since I just got an 88 Supra Turbo. Nice to see some Z love on there. There are some knowlegable people on there, but also way to many dick heads!! Especially on Supraforums. I've been on a lot of different auto forums and none compare to the Z community. I've owned a Z31, Z32, and now an S30 and all the forums i've been on have been awesome.
  23. I think I have given up the battle of which phones are better. I have come to the conclusion that some phones may be better, but the iPhone has many more developers creating applications for it than any other phone. And I don't see that changing anytime soon.
  24. Sounds like my car! I couldn't beleive that they actually paid someone to paint it. Supposedly! But it looks good in pictures from far away. One thing that was annoying is that for some reason he decided to wire the fuel light and hazard switch behind the center console where the radio would go? hmmm...
