  1. Hey Don, thanks for posting the pics! I like the overall fit of the kit. Did you buy the tubing notcher from them or from someone else? By the way, what are you doing this weekend? E-mail me or call me. Mark
  2. Hey Miles, I see you're in Sac Town I would love to talk with you some time. Did you go to the Rio Vista Meet last Saturday? E-mail me at your convience. Mark
  3. I spoke with my engine builder last week, turns out he got a "deal" on a flow bench, I think he said it's a Super Flow 600? He had been sending his porting jobs out to be flow tested previously. Anyway, since I've sent some business his way, I'm going to let him test his "New Toy" on my Pontiac Motorsport heads so I'll get some "Real" numbers finally. Mark
  4. I not sure what Katman means by "missing key structural elements" the base price for a 14 point mild steel cage kit starts at $300. If you what chrome molly it's more. This is a "kit" and will require "notching" the tubing and cutting it to length for proper fitmint. If you are going racing, then you need to know what are the tech rules for your class of racing. P.s. Chassisworks holds many awards for design and some of the quickest Doorslammers on the West coast use them. Mark
  5. WOW Grumpyvette, I had NO idea you were on so many sites I re-sent the message to your e-mail address listed on this site. Thanks again for all your advise and wisdom. P.S. And I thought we (HybridZ.org) were your favorite site? Your Motor Disciple forever! Mark
  6. Contact Chassisworks at www.cachassisworks.com They make up to a 14 point cage kit for the Z for $300! Mark
  7. Mikelly, I was "cruzin" the Holley site and I noticed that Holley released a complete system for those who already have a intake manifold. But I haven't seen any pricing in Jegs or Summit. Any idea what it sells for? I really want EFI, but I must use a special "HI-PORT" single plane intake with my Pontiac Motorsport heads. Hope to see you at the Motorsports show in May! Mark
  8. This link is not only for Chevys, so forgive me moderators if I've misplaced this post! But I believe most will appreciate it! http://roadsters.com/engines/ Mark P.s. I have links to many others if interested
  9. "Au contraire" Grasshopper KB does make FORGED PISTONS, you can see them in the Jegs catalog as Hypo 18 forged pistons or go here: www.kb-silvolite.com Mark
  10. Well I just got through looking at the Ebay post and it seems to say "Forged Keith Black blower pistons". These would not be Hyper pistons! Nice ride, I wish money was no object. Mark
  11. Any purchase requests should be fowarded to Mike/SCCA, he can get a 20% discount on list prices. I'm just a info geek trying to expand our options! 980mak, Rich at Bogart Racing Wheel said the Drag-on Star Series is for "DRAG RACE ONLY" and will "FAIL" given time on the street. But "street worthy" wheels can be made, give them a call before ordering. I hope this helps! Rich was very helpful and willing to answer any of my questions. Mark
  12. Well I called Bogart Racing Wheels today and spoke with "Rich" the owner, after sharing with him the needs, wants and desires of many of us at HybridZ, Rich proceeded to "Educate" me as to what his company does and for whom! First, DOT cert. is only required for Commercial vehicles 16" and bigger. Bogarts Drag race wheels are NOT reccomended for the street and will FAIL given time. They can produce a "street" wheel using 2 or 3 piece version of their Road Race wheels. These are KILLER wheels, check them out at www.bogartracingwheels.com. Wheel sizes are in 1/2" increments and so are back spacings! Four or five lug, it does'nt matter! Their most expensive wheel is $500 bucks and that's for a 17"X17" rim! Finally, they are a manufacturing contractor for several BIG name wheel companies, can you say "MOMO" and "MONOCOQUE". For more info call "Rich" at (619)596-7605. If enough people are interested, we could do a group buy! Mark
  13. Hey John, I'm interested in beening one of the 20 orders. Yes a "test-mule" would be needed to get it right! I'm sure there are other here that want the same thing! Mark
  14. I don't know why their wheels are not "DOT" approved? They do appear to be a small company and from what I've heard, getting the government's seal of approval on anything requires spending some serious coin. The manager at Les Schwab said that Bogart Racing makes their wheels on a "per-order" basis. I did personally see their P1 Billet Series "Drag-on Fly Star" wheel and was impressed with the quality of workmanship. The wheel appeared "Beefy", yet surprizingly lite! The center section is made from 6061 T6 Billet Aluminum. I will contact Bogart Racing Wheels next week for more info. Mark
  15. While I was at my local Les Schwab tire dealer looking for new tires for the family van, I noticed a brand of wheels called Bogart Racing Wheels. The store manager told me they are the rage of the import crowd locally for drag racing, so after a little web search, I found their site and discovered that they make all sorts of billet wheels in any size, back spacing and bolt pattern. These wheels maybe an affordable alternative for the Z. Their web site is www.bogartracingwheels.com/ Mark

    NASCAR

I don't hate NASCAR or it's fans, but there are only two Winston Cup races that interest me. First one to guess what they are gets a prize! I rather enjoyed that link for what it is and thats called humor. Learn to laugh and you will be a whole lot happer! P.S. If your belt buckle is the same size as your license plate, you might be a NASCAR FAN!
  17. I'd reccomend "Muffler Tech" in Sacramento on Florin Rd. The work they've done for me was good and inexpensive. They also sell/install aftermarket systems. Mark
  18. Hey Lone, you back in town? If so, give me a call! Or e-mail me! Mark
  19. I'm considering the purchase of three piece racing rims and would like to know how to mount tires on them? The wheels in question are IMSA racing rims. The fronts are 15X10's and the rears are 15X12's and were made for IMSA Z's in the late 70's to early 80's. I do not know what brand they are, but they appear to in mint condition. They even fit with stock springs, I have seen them. Is $800 to much to pay for all four? I would like to mount Pirelli P7's. Mark
  20. Thanks Mikelly, Tim240Z, Myron, my project is a long-term gig because I purchase only what I can afford at that moment and only if it's a screamin deal. I refuse to be a slave to debt (been there) ever again! I don't post as often as many on this board, only when I have a question or can offer advise or in this case share my good fortune (great buys) and future plans/dreams. I logon to this board almost everyday, HELL it's my HomePage! I truely love what this board offers and stands for and all the great people that make it so. Sorry I sound like a preacher, oh well, maybe some day! Mark
