  1. Adding Deck Height and Wet Liners... I have no problem with RB30/26 Head Swap. There is your deck height. I'll eat that engine if you can do the swap in an hour. I call B.S.
  2. A banned user has the CAD file for exactly such a thing.
  3. Charles has a broken elbow. Lovers meet at midnight. The parakeet wears a yellow rain slicker. Yes, we have no bananas. My hovercraft is full of eels.
  4. Josh has it correct. The questions being posed have to be viewed as purely rhetorical to keep oneself sane. Anybody who has done any research whatsoever on the RB knows taking and RB 26 to RB 28 is NOT a simple proposition. And short of sourcing an RB30 SOHC Block from Oz to make an RB30+.... Going any bigger is indeed a costly, huge undertaking. It literally is easier and cheaper to make it from an L-Series bottom end. I posed the question just as it was stated. Your lack of response shows you haven't done your homework to ask what you did, otherwise it would not have been phrased that way.
  5. I have a set of their DCOE bodies. You will not be disappointed in them, they are very well made, high quality components from what I've seen on mine.
  6. Oh you hilarious Germans, a laugh riot you guys, ja?
  7. You said "sell". I don't sell Z parts. You didn't say "give". Just found out yesterday that Norm the 12 Second SU Dude REALLY totaled his 240Z back in August. Sheared motor mounts. Looks like Scott Burkhardt's white 240Z I posted in the "improve safety of 240Z" thread. Norm hit....HARD! His stock seat belt broke. Seriously gentlemen and ladies, consider getting your 40-something stock belts re webbed at a competent shop! Breakage of that kind of critical safety device is frightening. I have inertia as a big enemy...
  8. There is an Italian place there...
  9. G-E, are you aware what is entailed to get an RB to 2.0 or 3.0L short of the RB30SOHC conversion?
  10. Pull spark plug, install Mr. Gasket cylinder volume gauge, and crank it over. Barring not having one of those, pull spark plug, mark a rod/pencil at TDC. Rotate to BDC, mArk rod or pencil....withdraw and measure.
  11. That is a rust bucket! If you don't want rust, skip that car!
  12. There are "spare tire" systems that piggyback the petrol system available that meet TÜV specs...it's basically an independent fueling system and you can flick over at the switch of a button. Now, defrauding those station owners into thinking you're filling one of those spare tire tanks when in fact you are filling an illegally imported US-Spec Propane tank for the big American Stainless Steel BBQ Grill in your garden... That, THAT might get you busted! Yep, pristine 85 380SEL with hard top, the chrome factory wheels, and the wooden steering wheel option. Was a whole $4,250! (Plus shipping...) I got photos someplace, probably on the other iPad... Nice gunmetal car with 36mm thick maintenance records off original owner... Now a summer cruiser in Amsterdam for picking up Gay Escorts near the red light district... Did I just say that? It's not Xander's car...but we don't judge, just don't let any splash on me!
  13. My dad loved those guys... Cabin Fever held ad bay being indoctrinated by coffee-sipping NPR...
  14. http://www.ebay.com/itm/141452891585 $9.00, be done with it!
  15. CFR Rinkens has no issue with it shipping out of Long Beach. You strap it securely so it doesn't move, or crate it... A crate big enough to hold a full size motorcycle is about $500 additional, but stuffing the car with parts is generally the easier way to do it, and at lower cost! We shipped a T56 transmission in the trunk of a 380SEL two years ago!
  16. Oh, and as Xander can tell you... Unless it's in an accident..."Bondo" is not an issue in SoCal! I prefer original, unrepainted cars, as all bodywork is usually visible and you don't get surprises. Rust is not an issue in SoCal, and inland empire cars are generally rust free as can be expected. In fact, the last time Xander was around my place, we loaded a few cars to go over to Rotterdam! It wasn't just two cars in that container...they kept on piling in!
  17. Why not ship it? Drain the oil, lay it down on cardboard and ship in the back of the car! It will fit!
  18. I used the resistor pack out of the NA cars...and from an 81ZXT on another... Orvac on Fullerton has the aluminum heat sinked ceramic resistors, same as SDS uses in their harnesses...I guess I'm spoiled by location. Digi key or Mouser should have them as well. http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en?mpart=UAL50-6RF8&vendor=696
  19. Hoardalicious..... I'm sure a lot more got written off before "The move to Dogpatch"
  20. They were throwing those sets in the dumpster back in the mid-90's...
  21. If you use dielectric gel to seal your plugs and make the boots release easier...sometimes it can expand and push the boot off...
