  1. I like long gears on a turbo car as much as the next guy but I don't want chevy tahoe gearing. I like my cars to do ~100 on the top of third, 120 is too long and would definitely slow down acceleration.
  2. +1 for the PRC radiator.... you can order direct from them and its cheaper than anywhere I found online. I opted for the one with the built in oil cooler, been great so far. You can see my oil cooler line going to the other tank of the radiator.
  3. My air dam had to be seriously trimmed to clear the wheels, damn wheels swing instead of pivot because of the rediculous offsets we have to run.
  4. Looks oem but with a twist, great job you do very nice work
  5. Looks pretty killer, that perticular setup is on an RB20 from the looks of the front cover. Have you thought about ITB fuel injected instead of carbs, also another possibility. Maybe get an RB26 ITB intake manifold and get some custom velocity stacks instead of the plenum. Make a head flange adapter and run it on some sort of MAP based ECU. I remember somone making a flange already so its doable and it will give you a nice modern fueling system. I can't imagine how nice it would sound with a light flywheel on throttle blips.... kinda wish I built one now lol.
  6. I get my powdercoating done at "sundial powdercoating" on tuxford.... which answers your other question about my location LOL, most of the pics are at the crest. wheels are as follows, if you are interested I might be selling them with brand new tires so PM me because I might be going another route Front 17 x 8.5 (-24 offset with spacers) 235 / 35 Rear 17 x 8.5 (-19 offset with spacers) 255 / 35
  7. Despite the mess it looks like I'm sure you will love it when its done. Please post pics of the frame rail and sub-frame connectors if you are installing them, I'm looking to do it in the near future and you seem to get some good photos with that rotisserie.
  8. I agree mercedes usually doesn't look the part but in all reality they have always secretly been the HOT ROD german car. BMW has always had the sporty look and handling but mercedes always makes fast straight line cars. They love making deceptively fast sedans, even the 500-560 SEL/SEC's of the 80' were mustang/camaro fighters but people only see them as luxory sedans unless they have actually driven one. To this day they dominate the drag strip with the twin turbo 600 and 65's also their world class NA V8's which put out 580hp in the newest version thats supposed to be released in the SLR predecessor. We go to the local drags with some rich guys from socal occasionally and there was a bone stock clk63 on drag radials and nitrous runnin 11.1 all day long... What a great car company. As far as the 190 goes.... always loved them. Very cool looking, light sporty sedan and they were even offered with Manuals in the U.S. which is very rare for mercedes. Twin turbo straight six 190e is sounding pretty good right abut now LOL
  9. Honestly I wasn't expecting so many, I say we change the thread title to post your Z and toyota (preferably pickups lol)
  10. Went from white to black but I still wanna play
  11. Yeah talk about off topic. Right now its a 8.5 +4 offset with a 25mm spacer so it comes out to a 8.5 - 19 offset.... Switching to the same offset wheel which is 1" wider is going to net me a half inch more inwards and outwards.... pretty much what this whole thread was supposed to be about LOL
  12. Adam - Nice clean Z, always liked that generation IS lexus' too, new ones are crap. xylemer - Man i was two seconds from buying a 92 4x4 black single cab V6(v6 was the only bad part) just like that but the guy said he needed to drive it for another week cuz he didn't have a ride to work after me driving an hour to see the car.... I'm happy with my purchase though, I always loved the "back to the future" pickup so I was pretty happy when I picked mine up lol Looks like so far 4 out 5 have toyota pickups hahaha its a conspiracy
  13. You wanna trip out, hahahah I had a s14 KAT too LOL. Then I spun a bearing and threw a rod out the block. After that I put an SR in it and sold the car after owning it for 6 years or so. Then I got the z and slapped an RB in it, I just wanted to have a taste of everything nissan lol. Pretty similar turbo to yours so, t3/t4 50trim .63 hotside My work wasn't as clean back in the day but I was still learning Oh yeah this thread has gone to ♥♥♥♥ but its getting me through the work day LOL
  14. Lol, ya I'm curious to see how many toyota pickup owners well gather up (mine is red too)... Here's my posse, and one of old red... the s14 isnt mine.
  15. Don't talk to my about hobbies, Im up to my elbows in them. From hitting the shooting range to rc cars and track events, I'm all over the place. I also have dreams of making the yota less daily drivable LOL. SAS, lockers, big tires, tube bumpers.... just a nice overall hunting/trail/mild rock crawling rig. Thanks for the tip, I'm gonna go visit the toyota thread and post up
  16. Damn that's my hometown, I've never heard of them but that sucks man, hope you get your money back.
  17. My niece (5) likes my slash cuz the damn thing flys its so fast but I love my crawlers. They get my mind off all the headaches associated with full size cars LOL. I completely got out of the nitro thing, more headache than a real car if you ask me. The two pickups are Tamiya's the Jeep is a custom build using a toys R us body. Full scale chassis, 4 linked suspension, granny gears.... cool stuff. I'm planning on getting one of these bad boys soon even though I don't like on-road but my Z is getting jealous.
  18. You just wanna see my Z LOL Here's some of the little guys, the 4 door JK (not finished yet) and the F350 are going up on ebay soon. The red yota is the mini me.
  19. Its my brothers wife actually but still.... getting kinda creepy huh. You don't build RC rock crawlers as a hobby and own a german shepherd do you LOL.
  20. Ya I feel you, Luckily I got both my adapters for free (30mm front and 25mm rear). My buddy owns a pretty big rim shop in SoCal and he had the adapters laying around. I built his RB25 S14 for him so we have a mutual giving relationship. On top of that I got my rims new for $460 so I got a pretty killer deal overall on my wheel setup. I say we start a Yota and Z thread in the main forum and see how many Z owners secretly own toyota pickups lol. Here's a pic of my Yota and my Z, along with my buddies S14 I put together for him (minus the body work, I only do engine/wiring/welding)
  21. How much does all that weigh if you don't mind me asking? You did and excellent job so far and I feel like it would be a shame to not have it pass inspection, although I don't know if its reversible at this point. Either way it looks freakin sweet!!!!
  22. Thanks for the link, I'm gonna see If I can find two rear rims to buy and try it out, at this point I'm thinking I'll make them fit somehow... Im in SoCal btw, near the valley, thanks for the compliment
  23. Anyone have a pics of a lowered 240/260/280z with the 9.5 in the rear RBR. I want to change the rear of my car to 9.5 but they are already so close to my flares with my current setup and with my calculations its going to come outward another .5"...... Also, is there anywhere I can even purchase just two rear 9.5" rims(9" if I have to) or am I going to have to buy a set or are these not even available anymore. I've been stressing over this crap for a couple days I just want to either get it or get over it. lol Here is my current setup....
