  1. There are Corbeau seats for $299+ though, and the Kirkey Road Race and RR Intermediate as well (good prices for what they are), thier cushion may not match and its a tad less asthetic, but it will grab you big time. I'm worried that if I get any bigger (sideways) that I'd need to make sure the seat is wide enough for me too, and with a Kirkey you can order what you need.
  2. Smaller steering wheel would help getting in/out of the car, mine is still stock and you do have to work your way around it a bit.
  3. I would re-think the supertraps, heard nothing but bad about them lately. Some folks have used them for Laguna Seca which has I think a 92db limit. So far one blown exaust gasket, one blown engine from excessive backpressure. While it may be more PITA, I think having a method to hookup a second muffler in the center section would be the way to go from the sounds of things. I met a Mustang guy during my dyno session that runs 4 mufflers (dual ex).
  4. Deep stroke strokers are better for pulling power than RPM, parasitic loss just gets ugly. There are 4" stroke and 4.125" stroke cars doing pretty well at 7k RPM, but still, not really my preference, in terms of enjoying a drive on the street without feeling guilty about wear.
  5. LoL, solar powered golf cart, isn't it the truth... Only in Silicon Valley right? http://www.gaspricewatch.com I imagine it still runs, the cheapest in my area isn't cheap anyway.
  6. I have seen some pix of a Modena in a similar fate, although alot less brutal... I will post later.
  7. Could just be folks using too much tension on the belt, or a bad batch? Who knows...
  8. Right click and SAVE the files before they die, although bookmark is nice to pass it on, while it lasts.
  9. That is a bit heavy, for even a street wheel of that size, oh well. They do look nice, not my favorite, but nice. Problem is your brakes look TINY now

    towing

I dont know didley about automatics, but you are supposed to unhook the driveshaft. I MAY have to do this myself, as I am not gauranteed a flat bed for my tow this saturday, so I need to find out ahead of time how to do this, but it is usually just a couple bolts and voila.
  11. 6'2" 238, I'm told my seats are about 89/90 Acura Integra seats (dont know for sure), they have too much cushion for my taste. If you dont mind reclining in your 240 they work ok, my hair touches the headliner a bit though. Frankly at above 6 foot I think a race seat is to be considered with a low profile cushion and low to the floor. I wonder about Miata seats? Ultimately I'm looking at one of the Kirkey RR seats.
  12. I'm 6'2", its a small car, but I'm actually daily driving it now. There is a guy locally who is 6'6", how he drives his 240Z I have no idea! He must have a low race seat, I need one myself. My hair touches the top a tad, and with a helmet its a tight squeeze, this is also tilting my seat (89/90 Acura?) back one notch from my prefered performance 'stance.' Overall I still love the car, no regrets, and its a mean mother in the twisties!!!

  14. 275 is 275mm, a 690 would be HUGE, nearly 2 feet wide.

  16. I dont know the truth in it all, but so far as I know ATIs reputation has gone downhill the last few years, mostly in regards to bearing wear.
  17. I've never even seen less than 1ms on an LT1 computer (as the only example I can provide, sorry), so I assume it does not exist, and in stock form with 2-4ms with stock injectors/power levels it wasn't needed. I suppose it could just be that it can't display in log output less than 1ms, but I assume it is just plain not possible.
  18. I know that on the LT1 stuff, guys running 50# high imp injectors dont have the best low end, sometimes thats guys running lots of injector though with future plans, 1ms just gives them too much fuel. I thought about running hose to O ringed setups, but was not really sure that doing so with 40-50 psi was a great idea. How are you keeping them sealed? Anyone have a guess as to how much the stock rail will support HP wise, effectively? Thanks all
  19. Which bellhousing will this actually bolt up to, a turbo Datsun T5? I have an early 5 speed and if I can use the same one, then I may consider this also. Sorry I dont happen to know the answers for you, although I am pretty sure its been discussed before, although maybe archived by now...

  21. He has a few videos out there on the net, I believe he is an instructor somewhere in Washington state IIRC. Even for my size I could always do hand springs (without hands) and such, but I never had the guts to try a backflip, honestly at my weight now though I dont think it would be wise to try at all. I think its rather pathetic how weak most people seem to be, rarely does it seem anyone takes much interterest in thier own physical well being.
  22. Something I forgot, how are you putting O ring style injectors on the car... Getting a custom fuel rail?
  23. Did you get suspended.html or did it start and then die? If you get suspended.html try again in an hours time.
  24. I work with some MACs at work, they are OS 9.x , they have IE 4/5 and Nutscrape as well, I suppose I could try and test one from there, to "SAVE LINK AS" in Nutscrape on a MAC you hold down the mouse buttom for awhile to get your options right? Doggon 1 button mice
