  1. Have you considered narrower tires? 195-215 would be better suited for a 7" wheel on a road race app, for your rear wheel that looks ok, most people are pickier about the fronts than the rears. My 195 on my 7" wheel now is following the same path that Porsche uses on thier GT cars, they stick 275s on 11" wide wheels.
  2. Carefull used of a razor blade for the first pass, and then I use a green/blue scrub pad for the rest. I dont see a need to get all of it off, although nice, just dont remove piston material. You also dont want to use something that will leave particles behind, like sand paper.
  3. Since it doesn't specifically say low impedance, I'm going to guess that they are standard high imp injectors, which should not be useable on the Turbo car because the injector drivers are not the same.
  4. I know the feeling, thats why I'm rolling on what came on the car
  5. ...and stop them, and for handling purposes we know high unsprung to sprung weight ratio is evil. Sounds like your wheels are probably pretty heavy, and maybe the tire too, but I dont know that tire setup. If you look at the ship info for both products you can probably tell which is the culprit, if not both.
  6. Eventually the lifters sink almost completely into the lifter bore, they are spring loaded right? The base of the lifter vs the top should also look pretty different, since the pushrods go on top of the lifter, they need a method to stay in there, vs the bottom of the lifter which is either a roller or flat bottom.
  7. I have standard length 7.8" Chrome Molly pushrods that I dont need, they'd go for cheap if you want them, then let me know, doh! Your overseas, if you have a local place that would probably be better for you. Unless you've shaved the heads basically you use stock length pushrods.
  8. Looks like about 22MPG, a few WOT trips and a few short drives. Most of my driving is either a 10 min trip, or my 45 minute treck into San Fran for work, so not much freeway stuff, either way not great but much better than the 15 I started out with.
  9. 12-15% loss from manual trans, and 15-20% loss from slush boxes is common. The way cars used to be dynoed is removing water pumps etc (accessories), and GM supposedly also put race headers on the car, not a full exaust. Yet people still believe that some cars like the Z28s of the era were severely underrated, but who knows.
  10. I think the guy was ok, but you could be right, maybe it was stupid to leave him there.
  11. http://www.streamload.com/ Downloading now, WMV is a sorta new Microsoft format, so you may need to update your Quicktime? I dont know if Quicktime for MAC plays that, but something "must."
  12. I hope nobody was taken by supprise by this, I sure am not. 45 years? WTF????
  13. I would be curious too, but admitedly I hear nothing "bottom of the line" when I hear about Lucas injectors.

  15. In terms of long drives in the Z, the only issue I have is leg cramps. Putting the seat lower will only unfortunately make things worse in this department, since my legs will have even less stretch room.
  16. Two women were playing golf. One teed off and watched in horror as her ball headed directly toward a foursome of men playing the next hole. The ball hit one of the men, and he immediately clasped his hands together at his groin, fell to the ground and proceeded to roll around in agony. The woman rushed down to the man and immediately began to apologize. "Please allow me to help. I'm a physical therapist and I know I could relieve your pain if you'd allow me," she told him. "Oh, no, I'll be all right. I'll be fine in a few minutes," the man replied, still in pain, in the fetal position, still clasping his hands together in his groin. But she persisted, and he finally allowed her to help. She gently took his hands away and laid them to the side, she loosened his pants, and put her hands inside. She began to massage him. She then asked, "How does that feel?" He replied, "It feels great, but my thumb still hurts like hell."
  17. Those look pretty similar to mine, except for the headrest, way too much cushion for me because of the head clearance. The headrest comes to my shoulder blades too, which is annoying yet comical.
  18. Thats what I said I have to lean mine back about a notch more than I prefer, to avoid hitting my helmet or hair on the liner.
  19. The correct spelling is Hugh Jass Gears is usually the cheapest way to go quick, used headers might be next, other than that things like a cam swap is looking like $500 or so, headwork $$$, so there isn't much that is really dirt cheap - however this is true with any engine.
  20. The regular T5 was at some point 300# and the WC T5 was rated at 330# from my reading. In a lighter car though it should take more I'd say. http://moderndriveline.tripod.com/moderndriveline/id14.html
  21. Heck, believe me I wasn't I checked out the site you posted because I am going to do the swap too, I saved everything there because I am used to broken links
