I had a Link for mine, it was a version 3 wire in, great computer for $1000 its now running my GTiR, and we are stepping up to a Motec for the Z

are you talking about the inlet or exhaust manifold? i would like to see a picture of the two exhaust manifolds side by side as im sure the turbo sits further forward on the L20 manifold then the L28 manifold. Does anyone else know for sure if they are the same?

Well i seem to go backwards more at the moment then forward with my project, so hopefully i can make some good progress this year, below are some of what i have done so far, well more like what i have brought as the car is still basically a bare shell. Willwood front brakes with 12.75" rotors, Koni fully adjustable coil overs all round, urathane bushes for everywhere, Racetech 4000 race seats, Trust/greddy egt, boost and temp gauges, Trust/greddy 100mm thick intercooler, Trust/greddy type R B.O.V, Trust/greddy type R waste gate, Trust/greddy stainless manifold, Garrett GT3540 turbo. This year i have to get the body work done and get it rolling on some new wheels, so maybe that could be my new years resolution. haha

There are plastic model kits available, i have one, its a 1/24 scale made by Fujimi, was probably about $15 us when i brought it. Not sure if you get the Toyota Cavalier over there or not, but the front park lights look like a good option for the lower ones you have in your sketch.

Ive owned two Z32 300zx's both autos one a N/A and one twinturbo both standard with no mods and both autos craped out. If someone is keen to have an adapter made and sent to me in New Zealand, depending on the final price p/m me Cheers
-
Ok, i managed to get in to see a company about getting this kit made over here in New Zealand. They were a bit busy to talk in depth about it, they have no problems doing it but due to the size of the project they didnt want to give an exact price, the estimated cost is between $10000 and $20000 NZD and my car would be needed for between 4 and 6 months. So all going well with some of my other projects I will look at doing this next year and will get in contact with you over sorting out a kit for yourself for doing all the hard work, below is some links to some of the work done by the company I went to. http://www.nissangtir.co.uk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=391&PN=1 http://nforca.com/exterior.html http://www.ignitionmagazine.co.nz/cars/1 Cheers Jeremy

Hey mate, like the others i too love the work you have done and if you dont mind i would like to take your pictures into a custom body shop over here to see if they can do the job of creating it. Cheers and keep up with the brilliant work.

Not to sure on the tach, but a 60mm gauge will work for a boost gauge, also remember that the 3 centre gauges are one unit. Jeremy

280zx Suspension, coilovers
jp 280 replied to jbwetzels's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
i got mine 3 years ago now all Koni with king springs, so they are still around has Z31 koni adjustable inserts with a threaded sleve welded to the outside, not sure what the rears were for, you can try see what the number K1610 comes up as, they bolted staight in. it was all supplied through STOCKS here in Newzealand, my invoice dosent show any part numbers but i will check and see if i can see them on the parts themselves. Jeremy -
So far mine still looks like in the pic, the block was painted black to help make all the braided lines etc stand out (when i put them on). The valve cover, inlet manifold and thermostat housing done in a anodised blue and the fuel rail and a few other parts will be done in anodised red. sorry about the small pic, the larger ones arnt working.
-
paid around $3200 nz for everything in the pic including the camber plates and setting them up, just gave them the standard suspension and they came back ready to bolt in the car.
-
Im interested in anything you can come up with (pics etc) i havent been able to do it myself, even if it just your thoughts of what needs to be done, will be a bit of a warning to myself at what i will need to look at when i get to it. Cheers Jeremy

Fitting at the block is 1/8 bspt if i remember correctly
-
thats not the L- series manifold, just a reference pic someone on here has the twin turbo setup this is the single turbo manifold for the S130
-
Oh sorry they are not listed you need to find the Trust part number then fill out the special order form, they will then email you back with all the details. Takes around 4 weeks for Trust to make it before the ship the manifold, mine made it to me a bit sooner then that. For the part number look on the Trust website (the japanese one not the U.S site) took me a while to find it.

http://www.takakaira.co.jp/ 180000 yen, i dont think it will work on a left hand drive car, takes up alot of room

I have a Garrett GT3540, with a Trust/Greddy type R wastegate mounted on the Trust stainless manifold, if your ever up in wellington let me know and we'll get together for a chat

You can get a throttle body from just about any of the N/A nissan engine's, i got mine from a SR18, but they look to be the same as the RB20 as well, i have 2 more laying in my factory. I had to make a 25mm thick adapter to use the factory throttle linkage, you can see it on my web page http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/jpatmore/ Later Jeremy

The plug in harnesses are made by HKS and Trust/Greddy, the HKS one is made for the 280zxt and the Trust one is listed for the old skylines but works in the 280zx. I have no idea if eith will fit the 77 280z, even if either of these fitted, your Apexi timer may not plug into it, i have the Trust one with a Trust full auto timer. Jeremy
-
i got mine from NZ gaskets, its true nissan dosent stock much at all these days (need a new inlet cam for my GTiR, they dont have one in the contry). but they can get anything you want.
-
yeah, i have the casings bolted together and mounted in the car at the moment, just nothing inside, but we have test fitted r32 gear set into it (all on hold while i get my GTiR on the road).
-
Im just using the L28D front housing on mine as it uses the same size bearings as the R32 box I just havent got around to replacing the bearings annd putting it back together jeremy
-
Try central 20, they are listed as sold out, but apparently you can send yours in and they convert them to a 10000 rpm gauge and 300kph speedohttp://www.central20.co.jp/goods/index.html I havent got that far yet, but plan on looking into it when i do. Jeremy
