  1. Ok, it may be a dumb question, but I know there is not a oil temperature switch on the 280zx NA but there is one on the 280zx Turbo models. Where is it located? neither haynes or chiltons even mentions it. I see it on the wiring diagram, but don't know where the sensor is located at?
  2. Whats the status of this build? anybody heard from Jeff lately?
  3. Nothing really wrong with the stock turbo oil pan, except the one Jeff has is what? 8 quarts?
  4. I don't have any prices yet, They are sending me a color chart for color matching.
  5. Everybody knows that you can't find new T-Top shades any more for the 280z & Zx model cars, Neither the coupe or 2x2 model, I've been talking to a company that says they can make them but only in a run of 10. How many of you would be interested? If you are post the type and color you would need. If we can get enough people listed then maybe this company will do it.
  6. Been sitting for 3 years? Ok, When I got my Zx it had been sitting for almost 2 years, I ended up replacing the injectors, pulled the fuel rail and spent hours cleaning the varnish out. Dropped the fuel tank and cleaned it out, Pulled off the rubber hose from the fuel rail to the fuel lines and replaced them. Replaced the fuel pump. Oh and replaced the fuel filter twice after I got the car running. Over the counter fuel injector cleaners did nothing for me.
  7. Leather dash would look nice! If you have ever looked at the new lamborghini the entire cockpit area is done in italian leather, and does it look nice!
  8. any chance of getting the cad drawing emailed to me? Although I have a 83 280zx I think it would be a good place to start.
  9. I have a parts car that has a complete turbo engine in it. The car was running a couple months ago, Before I pulled the gas tank, fuel pump, battery. Now this engine did have rod knock, so it will need to be rebuilt. Anyway, I have a local guy that was interested in it and wanted to pull the engine during the 4th holiday, If he doesn't then Im pulling the engine out anyway and I'll let you know its available.
  10. I wrote him a letter sometime back! not long after I joined this board, I had a best friend that got caught in the cross hairs of our wonderful legal system, I have a small idea of how he may feel.
  11. I didn't think that was their specific diet, I know they prey on the eggs of a number of animals But they are renouned for their ability to kill cobra's! Which is what I think your refering to.
  12. I'd pull the dash off as well, If you can. You wont need the doors on at all, that might cause more problems than anything else, The body is plenty strong enough to be twirled around on a rotiserie
  13. Um Yea thats what I said! This guy asked That tells me its not stripped to the frame!
  14. First, I don't know of a rotiserie that would hold a car thats not been stripped down to the frame. Second, I don't think that the car would handle that kind of stress even if you found a rotiserie that would hold a car that hasn't been stripped.
  15. Ok, Im a newbe, How does the dry sump interfer with A/C
  16. Any opinions on this setup would be appreciated.
  17. Could be a fuel issue, when I got my Z it had been sitting quite a while, 2 years! The fuel lines were clogged with varnish, the fuel pump was not pushing enough fuel into the fuel rail which would cause the rpm drop and stall, after a few minutes I would be able to start the engine again. It did get worse till I pulled the gas tank, cleaned the tank, sending unit, fuel rail and replaced the injectors.
  18. Yea, Jeff Priddy is doing the 3" downpipe, Look up his email, he's hoping to have the bender start making them some time early next month.
