Spindle-Pin-Puller Loaner program
terse replied to Dave's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension, and Chassis
Interested in a puller as well, if anyone doesn't need theirs anymore please PM me! thanks -
I really would like one, but not sure how the 60s black and yellow plate would look on my white 74 z. Maybe I should just get the black and yellow for my black 2006 4 runner
-
Need 7500 orders for blue plates for them to implement. Looks like we're quite a ways off at <2000 orders (for 70s Zs anyways)
-
Please let us know when you get a 2nd production going!
-
Loving your updates. Mind I ask you how much it cost to seal your gas tank... and cost of plating parts?

Hey guys, looking for a set of clean 240z tail lights and the tail light panels for a decent price. Need to be in good condition with no cracks, no chrome strip peeling, preferably with rubber gasket, don't need wiring harness. Send me a PM, thanks!

Yea the new hardware really makes a difference. Do you have a list or excel file of the bolt sizes and hardware you purchased, and what parts they are for? I've seen some vendors online sell complete 'kits' for the Z but not any zinc bolts

Tamo, a few quick questions about your body work. What kind of primer did you use after you put a coat of epoxy primer on? Did you sand the epoxy primer as well? I didn't see much from your body/paint posts, but could you describe a bit more in detail your whole process from bare metal to final paint and clear coat? Your thread has been super helpful!- 230 replies

260Z + RB25DET S2 motor = badazz 260ZR and some ?'s
terse replied to rayaapp2's topic in Nissan RB Forum
Great thread, any updates of your build lately? -
Thanks for your feedback guys. Thanks scorob, I think you hit it on the head with what my concern is. I DO plan to put a lot of work into it (redo full suspension, brakes, RB25 swap, etc) so I want to do it once, and do it right the first time. It's nice being able to start with a clean fresh car, and not have to worry about any rust appearing later. Stripping the car to bare metal and putting back is a daunting task though, and certainly not a "fun" mod unlike adding hp

Great build, thanks for such an informative thread. I had a 5th gen Prelude for about 10 years... were you on PreludeOnline.com? Few questions, do you have any pics of the modifications you made for the engine mounts to allow for better clearance? Also, for the Sti rear diff, did you have to make any modifications to your mckinney drive shaft? Last question is where did you buy your engine/trans from, and would your recommend them? I may be going a similar route as you, and this thread will be VERY useful Thanks!

Here are the major rust spots that really need to be dealt with (that I can see). Should I just deal with the rust spots only, or would stripping/ sandblasting be opening up a can of worms..? I guess, I'd just hate to strip the car down at this point since the paint is still good.

Hey guys, I got a 74 260z a few months ago and the paint and body is in very good condition...... on the surface. I don't know much about the history of the car, so I don't know where it's originally from or where it's been most it's life. There are obvious signs of deep rust though... above the tail lights and underneath the car on one of the frame rails. It has rusted through, so I'm sure there's more rust hiding somewhere else. Other parts like floor pans seems like surface rust. Nothing going on in the battery tray area. My question is, is it worth it to sand blast the car and strip it down to see what other rust is hiding beneath? I plan on keeping the car forever and don't want to start building/modding and end up having to strip it down later if it's going to be an issue.

Amazing , keep it up! Question, what gauge steel are you using for replacement panel peices? And where do you get them from?
-
Sorry to revive an old thread, but anyone have their contact information? What happened to their website? (as well as Alex's site/blog) I've been googling for like an hour with no success.

Great work. I'm particularly interested in the A/C install. How much did you purchase the A/C system for and from where? keep it up as I hope to be doing the AC install one day.

Was the $2000 quote including the engine or just labor/misc parts? I spoke with Sev yesterday, and he informed me that Art is no longer the owner there. Sev is now the owner since Jan 2014. He came along 3-4 years ago but has now taken over. He seems very knowledgable, sensible, and not out to rip off the little guy.
