Maybe this will help you get it wired up correctly pick one wire at a time starting at that plug in your previous post and follow it out

The PO had already done this And it had the gap that you speak of. So I ended up pulling it out a little bit by the door opener side. Then I screwed the east/west speaker holes to the door after the panel was put on. That sucked in up enough that it didn't stand out. Then I screwed the north/south holes to secure the speaker cover that way the stress wasn't on the plastic cover. I also shorten the window cranks so they no longer hit the speaker. These are 6" speakers. Kinda had to work with what he had already done. Good news is it doesn't interfere with any of the door internals.

Does Your high beam indicator light on your speedo work? If so when it is on the light that is in low beam is the one I would address. Not 100% sure but I believe you then swap the yellow and red wires that are attached to the plug that plugs into the light itself

That's coming up quick. I guess I'd better get busy. I just started the wet sand phase of my paint job before I shoot the clear coat. But I should make it in time. As long as life doesn't get in the way. Which is almost a guarantee around here.

Well, not quite in the area but at least on the same coast. I'm in northern California, Sacramento valley. I have an L28 sitting here that I pulled from a77 280z parts car. You are more than welcome to it as long as you either make arrangements to have it shipped or drive on down and pick it up. It was running up until 8 months ago when the kid got side swiped. Congrats!!! I know the feeling, my youngest son turned 21 yesterday. Full time student and works full time. And still finds time for his 240sx ( with the old man's help ) of course. tried to get him to go with a 240z but at least he kept it in the family. ... We wish her all the best in the future. I personally have never been a big fan of the contrasting color of the racing stripe. But thats just me. But if I were to do it. I'd ghost it in. But I really like your color choice.

Love the color. But maybe ghost in the racing stripe. Just a thought.
