    JDM?

I love this SITE. You ALL have such great sences of humor. I imagine that it is actually a GOOD thing we all live so far apart. I can't imagine the trouble we would get into if there was a monthly meeting.
  2. I am not sure about the other models but the 260's (at least mine did) have an electric by the tank and a mechanical on the block. Dunno why but there it is.
  3. I loved it when there were the 4 dudes just standing there like, what ever will we do?
  4. The Duratek is definatly a better engine, but have you priced a set of OHC's? 1800 Buck? WHAT? The SVO 4 cyl would be a cool implant, wanted to do one myself but got intimidated by all the WIRES in the engine bay of the Turbo Coupe I was going to buy. Never the less, someone do this swap and let me know it's not that bad. Can always make room for another car
  5. I'd drive it for a month and trade it in on the new GT40, sell that, buy a new house and finish my z project.
  6. It's all here, it might not be page numbered and bound but most of it is easily found.
  7. I was going to chime in on this but looks like AUX has a great ending to this disscussion...
  8. Yep, you know that all they guys in his Vette club still give him a hard time about that. I just can't feel sorry for them when people do stuff like that, I CAN however laugh
  9. I posted this under another header but thought that it could use it's own heading. I may have come across why there can be an ubundnce of fuel and or exhaust fumes in these early z's. This weekend I finished welding in the cover where my spare tire was. A buddy of mine was touching up some of my work from underneath the car when I notice that you could see a reflection of the blue light very easily in the hatch area, while he was welding on the UNDER SIDE of the car. Closer inspection lead me to realize that the area around the perimeter of the "C" channel that supports the rear strut towers are not sealed!. If you reach your fingers around the the inside of the "C", you can reach down under neath the car? Also there was light coming around the outside edges of the "C" as well. If there was any exhaust or fuel leak under neath the car, I would assume that it would easily be pulled into the car by way of these holes. And when you windows are down, it should be even by creating a vacume and pulling more in from under the car, correct? Has anyone else noticed that these are not sealed, is there a reason? I was very suprized by this and I hope that this could be the unseen problem so many of you are having. I am going to use a good silicon and seal off the top and bottom of this area, let me know if there is any reason not to do this! Here is a crude pic, had to borrow it from someone on this site and draw on it.
  10. I think the cable is run up into the hatch, and then down the side of the car next to the seat area. This way you leave everything in it's stock place and you are just Modding the latch device to work via cable, not button. Right?

  12. I figure it is race car like but with out the numbers and lettering, more of just a two tone paint. Do you think it would really call out to cops just the white and blue? The loudest (paint) i ever had on a car was this pearlecent purple on a 80 malibu. (bought it like that), with that paint and a tunnell ram sticking out of the hood I only ever got pulled over once, I was behind the cop pacing her because my speedo didn't work. She didn't approve.
  13. For me it is a toss up between this pace car paint (minus the '0' & the word 'pace car' and possible the red pinstripe) and the red white and blue BRE style. Basically the BRE version would replace the broken blue lines on the side with solid red ones.
  14. I had an 84 trooper II and never flipped it in any (stupid) high speed manuvers I made in it. I miss that truck But it was kinda scarry a couple of times.
  15. Just make sure you keep those wheels spinning and you should be fine!
  16. Do the Vanilla Sky BLACK with the yellow ferrari sign behind the side windows. Black or a very dark blue. Too cool.
  17. I am afraid that the SIMPLE fix for just about any wiring problem in these cars is RE-wiring them. What would seem like a simple system for a simple car is freakishly complex and weird.
  18. Some one go get this for me, will be in dallas this week for the cotton bowl, will work with you on labor if you can pull these parts for me!
  19. Ceramic Black if you want to match
  20. Simply pull the red, green...and any other factory wiring completly out of your car. Proceed to rewire you entire car with new, no-nonsence wiring.
  21. I wansn't sure, thought it might have been an R230. Dunno too much about all the bits and pieces of these nissans just yet. So that is NOT an R200 or R230? Was wondering if it would just BOLT IN
  22. Sounds like a cool induction system, I want to see PICS!
