Yes. I really have no clue, but if JM's description is correct, sounds good, then it should have an affect on the handling if the ends are different lengths. The "levers" would be of un-equal lenth and one end would apply more pressure then the other in equal rate turns of opposite direction. Right?

I have wanted a Z ever since I was a freshman in HS. There was this black 280 taht was for sale a couple of months before I turned 16. I wanted one so bad for my first car! My folks had other "SAFE" cars in mind, So I end up with an 82 LTD instead. I guess once I got started in VoTech and saw everyone elses muscle cars I got into that, had a 82 Z28, Guess that was my first Z , but not much muscle. THen I had a 80 Malibu and a couple a 4WD's. Got married and finally had a bit of extra money to get something to play with, looked in OK for over a year and a half and found jack worth buyin. Then on fall day, my wife and I are shopping and decide for what ever reason to go a different way home and low and behold is the little blue 260 in the parking lot of the grocerystore, with a 4sale sign on it. I was like, I have to go look at it! She's like what ever, so I'm checking it out and the guy wanted 2400 for it. Body was CLEAN, newish paint, interior was fair. Called up the guy, drove it, the thing barely ran, later to find out that it was the alt and reg. But I wanted it so bad, but I was a bit short on $$. My wife knew I had been looking for a long time and she knew how bad I was wanting one, so she lent me the money! What a woman! I talked him down to 1900, which I figured was worth it since there has been very little rust. Seen better deals but NEVER in town! So I have had the car a year and a half and have had it apart for about 6 months now. Loving every minute of it!

so it is a different grade from what you would get from a steel supply? That would make sence, since the recycled would have more impurities? Is that right? Just trying to understand.

Ok so it's thin but when i replaced my floorpans, the sections I cut out could be rolled up like a blanket. This stuff has proporties closer to un-heat-treated aluminum rather than STEEL! Was very weird. The car definatly benifited from the subframe connectors and is very soild now. So replace that rust and beef up the chasis.

We are going to Brekinridge on the 18th. I am so phyched about getting back on the slopes. Will be my wife's first trip. We are going to board, like nothing else. Of course, I havn't driven a V8 Z yet so who know's. Anyway, I cringe a bit to think of all the posts I will be behind due to a weeks worth of absence... BAH

Well, if you need it to be mobile for a while you could build a front clip dolly. Does the clip have the rotors on it? Maybe you could bolt some wheels to it, and make some levers to bolt onto the clip and walk it like a wheel barrow. How much does this thing weigh, 1000 lbs? I am sure someone on here will have the end all best idea ever..

I am a huge fan of just about any automobilia history. It's just very interesting to me, but I found the passage in this photo sad... I was reading about the new mustangs in Hot Rod this month and it was saying how all the prototypes are going to be destroyed or sum such. How come they can't auction those cars off or keep them somewhere. Seems such a waste to just kill them. This king cobra is definatly something differnt. I wouldn't call it "GAY", looks like they were going for a nascar body or something.

less fabbing needed, would be over all an easier deal, IMO. That is what I'm doing. Would do a ford motor if they had a kit, but they don't so I'm not. Plus there are a zillion SBC's and they can be had with plenty of power for cheap.
