  1. So if i got a kit like this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2453074957&category=33730 But for a hydralic clutch or with a hydralic TO bearing, and then get the new master and slave clutch cyls and other bits? I guess I need to asses all the parts i HAVE, and then figure out what I need. Will get back with you all.
  2. Guy, could we use it to build an exhaust system? I bought a prebuilt rollbar so I don't need it for anything like that. Just wondering if there was anyway to utilize it's time in this area.
  3. I didn't get the bearing with my purchace, is it expensive? I am guessing I can get a hose make up to fit either end of the slave and master cyls. Do you all have suggestions as far as to what master and slave cyls to use? Should i get a set out of a early third gen camero from which this trans came or aftermarket or what. I don't need extreme, just working reliable parts. (running out of $$)
  4. Thanks Guy, I may take you up on that
  5. Thought it may make things a little more simple and give me more 'feel' of the clutch. For all I know it is not the right thing to do, that is why I am asking for your experienced opinions.
  6. Looked at the zhome.com site and I will contemplate using their version. Will look some this week. I am not sure I want to cut up all of the stock guages in order to install these autometers. I will also look at doing the friction fit as the speedo and tack are and Timz apears to like. I would like to have the faces tilted. WIll let you know what I come up with and post. I woulc like to have somethign attached to them in cast of a collision, so that they dont fly out and bust me in the tooth.
  7. Hey! didn't notice your screen name, did you just change it??? Yep, suspension is complete and I have started in on the fuel cell and fuel delivery stuff. Hoping to finish that soon and get started on the dash and wiring the interior. I am sure your stuff is going to look great! Wish I had the patience to do all that. I am like already going nuts I don't have a motor yet and I want to be driving by spring! Will see how it goes. Let me know if you need any help with your car, or just some moral support. Would enjoy seeing some other local hybrid cars...
  8. Same as WAGS, but I didn't get bump stops in my kit, so I am not running any. Is this serious? I got new spacers that sit atopt the strut/spring cup and under the mounting block w/ the three studs that you bolt to the strut tower.
  9. Has anyone used a T5 without the master and slave units. Just used a cable like some manual trans have? Any thoughts?
  10. Have searched around quite a bit, can someone please point me to the thread that lists how to mount the 2-5/8" autometers in the dash? Also the speedo and tach will just be friction fit with the cardboard shipping sleeve around the housings. That oK? If there insn't a thread on this, i need to know what you all have done to keep your guages inplace, I would also like to turn them towards me a bit 10-20 deg? Thanks
  11. yeah, but on hotter days you are going to feel that hot 'seepage' rolling out of heater box. I several early 80's v8 cars that constaly seeped hot air in the middle of the summer, not cool
  12. I don't know if it would fit or not but you could go with an early 70-early74 heater box, it has all manual controls. Can use your hand or a couple of choke cables.
  13. First of all, Welcome to the site! Good to see another OKIE on the site . Is the zink flaking off, or do you want to color match all your hardware? If your car is going to be a daily driver you could just get a can of chemclean and dip them in that over night, cheap parts washer. Anything more than that would be overkill unless you are wanting to build a show car. You are right, it would add up in a hurry if you did all your nuts and bolts. You may just go with some of the most visible ones. Not sure of all the options for steel nuts as far as coating, possibly annodizing? Good luck.
  14. This is what SpeedRacer told me...

    PITA problem

Id bet it's the tank, something clogging the pick up. I had this problem for a while but it was intermittant. I could hit the bottom of the pan with my palm and lossen the stuff up enough to run for a while, then it would clog up again. I am running a fuel cell now and got rid of the tank so that is all I got.
  16. I wouldn't, (couldn't) blackmail him. I know what you want to do feels like it would be right but it wouldn't. I do think he should be exposed but not for anyones personal benifit. It should be for the benifit of the employees and their saftey. You need to come up with a way of people finding out all at once. A coulple of things to start adding up. But not letting anyone know that it's you that is helping him come clean . Something like saving the last website he was on as the Home site on the different computers he is using. You will feel alot better about the situation and yourself if you don't profit from this ordeal. I know all about working for a company and not getting raises. Worked for the same wages for 3+ years and we finally got a raise, lots of hyp and everyone was excited for....2.5%. Not cool, so I know how you feel. Get the dirtbag and have FUN with it.
  17. So I DO need a small rubber jumper line between the pump and the hard line? I don't want to run the hard line right into the pump, correct?
  18. Can't you have a set of bearing made fairly inexpensivly? I may be wrong in thinking this but I though you could just order some up. There is a company close to where I grew up that does that stuff.
  19. looks like it all went away from his hand.
  20. HOW BOUT JUST A ROUND OF BEERS? or DP On me the next time YALL are in Tulsa!

    JDM?

Yes, AUX, your sence of humor and ability to find the 'not so mainstream' stuff on the net is greatly appretiated by all of us who have jobs where we can NOT surf the net all day and get paid for it.
  22. I am fix'in to cut up my heater vent/control insert and epoxy some CF in there, would be VERY sweet if there was a full CF version with just a Flat area where the vents, heater controls, maplight, and warning lights are. In leiu of one getting made anytime soon, i will go ahead and make my hybrid/plastic/cf version. OH, also would LOVE to see the Door pannells and the rear inside quarter skins in CF with like some rubber mounts or whatever to keep them from buzzin.
