  1. 215 lbs is not the same as the torque that the mounts will endure through it's life. just check it overtime for wear and tear.
  2. these are okay. they haven't earned the nostalgic badge yet though. but props for you though. plus, to me, they aren't as beautiful as the original Z. the 370 on the other hand, looks much more beautiful.
  3. are those the Axis wheels? damn, i love that old school design but only if axis made it in a zero offset or lower. i believe they're immitations of hayashi's? but anyways, looks good.
  4. then you should offer him 100 for the wheels. and let him have the car. or, call the junk for cash hotline, have them pick it up from his house after you take the rims off. ;D
  5. oh, because i've already got a car that's waiting for the right engine and trans transplant. let me know.
  6. wow! what size and offset? what tire size? and that looks like you're running stock height huh? as for the rim's you're looking for, i'm pretty sure it's gotta be panasport or the rota's. they're the only one's that i can think of that has what you're discribing.
  7. 250? i say yes. get it then junk it or part it out later.
  8. are you done with the season yet? perhaps i could buy that engine off of you.
  9. well, even if it resets the weight distribution, you're still losing a good amount of weight when putting in a 4 gerbil-powered engine. if you think about it, the KA has almost the same amount of power, if not more (depending on what motor you have) as the L motor. plus, it makes the car lighter, therefore, it should have better performance overall.
  10. it looks greats. but, don't they have textured paint for sale. i would hate to get scuffed from that bedliner.
  11. yep, i agree. also, KA24E isn't bad either. it's a single cam engine but it has been turbo'ed just fine. plus, these enignes may be more plentiful.
  12. i'm assuming you're using the XTD clutch right? those clutch are shitty on higher horsepower or boosted cars.
  13. i'm pretty sure it would. most jz engine parts should be interchangable.
  14. i would say that it's probably the best bang for the buck. definitely cheaper than the SR and can make the same or more horsepower. the KA has a strong bottom end and pretty good valvetrain. plus it has the advantage of being lighter and shorter, which means you can shift the car's weight closer to the center. you won't be able to do that with an inline 6. plus, i believed that he mentioned that it was all for $1,000. but it's true, a four banger doesn't sound as nice as an inline 6.
  15. looks like an MSA front spoiler with a bit of the owners touch. looks custom fitted along the fenders and custom lower lip.
  16. hey thanks for that heads up. i'll keep my eye out. plus, i can get $100 dollars off if i spend over $500. i'm definitely looking at the rewinds.
  17. i'm digging the 15's derek. thanks for the photo. i wasn't sure if 15's were gonna be big enough, but it looks just right to me. do you have any side shots or rear shots. the 16's are looking great also.
  18. guys, how high you rev doesn't mean squat. reving higher than you need to doesn't give you anymore power without proper tuning. if you've seen most dyno's, horse power drops after a certain rpm. reving higher will show that the hp goes further down. the goal is to keep the power speaded out in the rpm range.
  19. Derek, what size tire are you running? could you post a picture of your car's stance. i'd like to see.
  20. you guys should try memoryfab.com i remember seeing a few sets. they also have other cool rims.
  21. yes, a stock KA without a turbo setup can be achieved under $1K.
  22. you won't need forged pistons if you think that your budget it less than $1000. check out ka-t.org for KA info. by the way, unless you're fabricating alot of the things, you're $1000 budget isn't going to work. a good turbo is gonna run you atleast 5-600. you're gonna need a fuel management system 200+. fuel pump 100+. engine and tranny craddle. IC piping. and a bunch of other misc. things.
  23. damn, beat me to it. anyways, here's another picture of your beautiful Z. http://www.zforceproductions.com/index.php?option=com_joomgallery&func=detail&id=26&Itemid=62 i hope you don't mind me posting.
  24. damn, i'll be in seattle in a week or so too. i wish i could see that z of yours since i'm in the process of the same swap.
