  1. last night i got to finally securing the headlight extension and aiming the headlights, only to look in my fenderwell to see its being held on with two bolts!, so i proceed to take those two out and pull the housing, now i have the lite out, and need to get headlight adjust screws, fine. does anyone have a technique they employ to put this thing in???

  5. hey jumbo,did you by any chance measure how wide the power bulge is, i may be doing a hood scoop project of my own, btw-didnt you say you were moving to the frisco city by the bay????

  7. its not the bolts that attract me so much to the zg flares, its the price, there like 200 at the most, and you can run a nice 10 inch wide rim under them dogs, oh yeah baby, that and the painted headlight covers baby WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANGANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNAMIDDDDDDDDDONNNNNNNNNNNNITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(coffee)
  8. im down with energy suspension, did run out or grease early on, but hey, thats just grease, bushing kit had everything needed, works great.
  9. id say" hey im just putting a FACTORY motor in", specify the factoryness and the smoothness of the changeover. just make sure you say the three magic words O E M.

    theres nothing wrong with a meineke super turbo mufler, i run two 2.25's into one full length 2.5 and i sound like nothing....

  12. 15x6, right? i dont think you can widen them if they are aluminum, steel wheels you can widen easy. offset isnt a big deal,most places that widen rims ask you what offset you want to run. you could run 15x8, with a 235 or so and be ok.
  13. ok the other day 1978 280z would not start checked everything, finally saw that fusible link wire was severed, rigged it together, everything fine, went to kragen to look for fusible link wire, none to be found, went home and used primary wire 10 guage crimped it and drives ok, but now im reading this article about fuseblock meltdown from erics zpart site, and it really does not apply directly, but there is this one line that reads "fuse block meltdown is sometimes the result of someone using non-fusible wires in their electrical system, causing a meltdown" im scared that im gonna wreck my car something awful, but for now the car runs fine and seems fine, any input on this one guyz??????

    i like rotaries, they rev to high heck and then some, sound like motorcycles, and take boost nice, holley four barrel cartech turbo and you there..
  15. whoa, so what does it take to rev a straight six that high on pump gas, my l28 has no juice after 5500 or so...
  16. i think the highest you can go, even built up well, is 7k, and believe me, most inline guyz dont rev that high, the only z i know that revs like that has over 25k in motor and turbo alone.... this motor wasnt built for revs, most straight sixes dont rev that high, reasonable build i think 6k redline, and thats plenty...
  17. i read in some 5.0 magazine that you can get a 4.6 sohc with t5 long block for 2500...
  18. thats been done a couple times, check out hoovers turbo car on gotumph.com...im thinking of the emblem relocation myself, or maybe behind the plate, dont knwo, im not there yet...

  20. what year car is it, if its a 280z, theyre infamous for the squat....got one, and i make it squat everywhere...
  21. does that mean i use the 300zx hub seal or the 240 seal, im sorry, im new to this brake stuff...
  22. i must also say, i saw ads in a 5.0 mag( hey i was bored!) that sell long block 4.6 with 5speed for 2500, just notch the mounts again, and bolt em up, scarab baby...
  23. hey will the 300zx wheel bearings swap over as well, or can i just use my 240 wheel bearings, just need to know, going vented rotor soon....
  24. this guy i know that has a jtr setup has his pretty far back, so much that he had to dimple the firewall with some hammer blows to get the hei in, but hey, whatever...
  25. it would read "4MYNMEZ" OR "7D24DZ" OR "WOT247"
