  1. I want to get my stock RB26 turbos upgraded with steel/inconel wheels and was wondering if anyone knew of a shop that they'd recomend.Prefferably someone you've dealt with firsthand. Thanks guys
  2. those rails on ebay ARE Baddog's rails. Read the description
  3. nice find...i paid way more for a Tial BOV.
  4. stock internals T3T04E 450cc i njectors 60mm TB match ported to manifold Wolf 3D 2.5 to 3" DP, 3" w/ glaspack LG I/C with 2.5" plumbing 326 whp,320 ft/lbs T @ 13 psi
  5. The L28 motor will be shoehorned into this 510 when the RB swap is done.I dont have a title for this car so it'll be track only.So many projects, so little time.
  6. I started to tear down the new motor today.Stripped everthing that wont be used and probably dropped about 50 lbs in the process. This is the motor I'm replacing.Ive been asked "why" by just about everyone, and I dont have a really good reason. This motor dynoed at 326whp and 320ft/lbs wich should be plenty in a 2400lb car, but as you all know, plenty is a relative term.My goal is 450-500 whp, that should satisfy my growing need for "throttle therapy" for awhile.I anticipate this project will take a little over a year to complete.I'm starting with the motor, then chassis reinforcment and finally drop the built motor in next winter.I'm a metal fabricator by profession and will most likely fab extras of everything needed for this swap and will offer them for sale wheneverythings done and tested.
  7. I gotta go with Cartman too and you should "RESPECT MY AUTHORITAII!!" So this family goes into a talent agency and say's Have we got an act for you"....
  8. theres a few issues with using the galv stock. It welds like crap unless you grind the zinc off at each weld, the fumes arent very good to breath and without pickleing it, paint or undercoat wont adhere to it.I'd go with cold rolled myself or if I reaaly had to have the zinc coating I'd go with a galvaneal because it will take paint.
  9. I used stainless to fab all my parts. IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/Boostmonkey/DSCN0160.jpg[/img]
  10. you HAVE to reconnect the inner wheelwell to the original quarter panel after you've cut out what was in the way. That joint is structural.
  11. Maby not, ive seen lots of work/delivery vans without rear windows
  12. I want to build my motor to 450-500whp and I didnt see much when I searched. Will the Garrett GT2860R turbos get me there?I run a Wolf 3D ems on my L28et and its been excelent so I'll most likely stick with Wolf and use their plug and play RB26 unit. How far will the stock turbos get me with added fuel and a programmable ems?
  13. thanks guys, that makes me very happy.Nice to know I dont have to mess with the oil pump.
  14. those cables are most likely a ghetto lowering kit
  15. Not sure what kit this is but the motor i just bought is all ready for a cooler.I'll p.ost better pics once I start stripping it down
  16. MK, I was very impressed with the performance of these precision bandsaws when I was at the 06 Fabtech show in Atlanta.I was cutting .060 wafers off of a 2" diam solid rod over and over again.http://www.femi.it/ENG/Frame/setframelineaprodotti_TAGLIO%20METALLO.htm
  17. The Baddogs are beefier...either way, get the parts and then go to a shop.If a body shop has to make these parts, they will cost alot more.
  18. The carbide tipped blades cut reaaly well, I just got a 14" saw that works like a dream. Its taking some getting used to because it just doesnt seem right, cutting steel or SS with a carbide blade. When the distributor came to demo the saw, I challenged him with a 4"solid rod (steel) and it cut it fast and straight. That was all I needed to see and I ordered one on the spot.
  19. I'd go with the Zedfindings pans and the Baddog rails...best of both worlds
  20. they bolt down...search for a post about changing spark plugs on an RB and its described pretty well.
