  1. I'm using 1.5" X 3" tube half inside and half out. Stock rails ( on a 240 ) are 1/2" deep so with the 3/4" exposed tube only takes a quarter inch of ground clearance away. Theres plenty of write-ups to see what others did....search is your friend
  2. Look for a used Pexto hand beader. They dont have a very deep throat but they work well if you dont need to go deeper than say 3-4 inches from the edge of your panel.
  3. Explain " intended Purpose ". Are you building a monster or just repairing back to stock?
  4. Try pulsing the trigger.Pull the trigger for 1 second or just enough to start a bead. Then let off just long enough to see the welds cherry red dissappear. Then repeat, continueing where you left off. Dont even lift your helmet, just watch thru the lense.Experiment with how long you can hold it on until you blow thru, then back off just a bit.
  5. yes, they do. I bought a V500 with the adapter.
  6. Zya, you know what I'm trying to say. Theres a color thats been used probably more than any other color on all cars combined. Its the best color for a car. My S2000 is a shade of this color as is my Silverado pickup. Its my favorite color. That said, I love to see cars with a paint that nobody else has. Like your latest project " Agent Orange"..cant say as Ive ever seen that shade before. Just promise to never park beside Big Phil, we couldnt handle the extreme UV's these two cars will produce. ( all in a good way )
  7. Looks good to me. I prefer a color that hasnt been beaten to death.
  8. thanks guy's. My concern was ground clearance. The car is totally stripped and on a rotissieri at the moment so I cant get a look at how low 9+ inches will be.I'll have to look at another car and take some measurements.
  9. I'm building the frame to hold a cell in my Z. Its a small 12 gallon cell that measures 16.5 X 16.5 X 9" tall. My plan is to mount the cell centered right to left to allow room for dual exhaust. Also centered within the subframe front to back. I was going to make the frame 8" deep so it would stick up 1" above the deck. This would allow a bolt down cover/ frame to act as the hold-down staps. Are there any problems with this setup? Thanks
  10. It didnt sound like he was " blasting someone because they're an idiot", more because he wanted to alert the " idiot" of his presence so he didnt get hit. 100% acceptable reaction. What made the other guy an idiot, was his responce.
  11. I'll be in Isabella in mid March. Shack beach here I come !!!!
  12. I second the Boy of Oz. Your most likely going to want a combination of radius bends and sharp bends. It will be hard to get good results without the proper tools.
  13. If your parked and someone is about to hit you, the horn is all you got. If the hitter is so unaware of what he's about to do and he takes offense to your horn, all you can do is laugh at him. Rub a little salt into his already bleading ego. By the way, dont be grouping S2000's into this whole Honduh thing.
  14. Glad to see he's been taken down. I hope he makes some " special " friends in the big house. Also hope you get your parts back.
  15. try to steepen the angle between the rod and base metal to reduce the flexing of the rod.
  16. Saw this beast at the Tyrods show last weekend. Just looking at it made my colon tense up a bit. Sorry no details, the owner wasnt around.
  17. Happy Birthday Ron. And thanks for everything.
  18. I cant seem to find the one I was thinking of. And I stand corrected, just below this thread theres a guy that has an RB25 in his dime without cutting the firewall ( at least it doesnt appear to be cut)
  19. Its beautiful blue 510 with a TT . He's from you neck of the woods Ron. I'll do some searching.
