  1. Looks sick Darius. Just awesome. Question - why did you decide to go u-joint on the halfshafts? Just curious. Can't wait to see more of it. And oh yeah, before you pull it off the road to install the hogans intake and afr's ..get some video of those tires screamin' @ 90mph! - Jersey
  2. Ok, i guess either... A - This has been recently very well documented somewhere and i can't seem to find it B - Not many have done this and the ones who have aren't in the mood to post thier setups because they've explained it about 10 zillion times... and again, i can't find it! C - I'm not using the correct combination of the 20 different phrases i've entered in the search engine over the last 2 days to get good results D - Everyone that has done this calls Ross @ Modern Motorsports and drops a bunch of cash and blam, it's done Ross, if you read... i wish i could do this option... believe me. LOL. Anyway, I'll keep searching and piecing the info together. A lot of the posts i come across from searching are from years ago and a bunch were in the R&D stage. I just figured someone has come up with some clean cut options for a 5 lug rear disk setup on the S30's. Thanks anyway and sorry to take up server space. - Jersey

    New Dad

CONGRATS! Beautiful son and my middle name - Nicholas! Nice.
  4. Funny story. It had its ups, its downs and well, all overs! lol. Glad to hear you made it through. ha. And you guys think that was a long post??? You obviously don't remember the days of Bastaad525!!! HAHA. 525, just bustin' chops if you're still out there
  5. Congrats Cygnusx1! Time to start looking for a Z for him!
  6. I'm thinking of converting over to 5 lug all around - Nissan/Ford - 5x4.5 - and was just wondering what different setups you've guys used and how you think it's worked out so far. I do know about re-drilling the stubs and retaining the drums in the rear but i figure if i'm changing out to 5 lug, i might as well go disk rear as well. If you could post your setup including which caliper/rotor/spacer/brackets...etc you used, including the make/model/years the parts came from (if not using custom made parts) that would be appreciated. Thanks in advance guys. - Jersey
  7. SteelToad - 10-J unsuited and he only had about 3x my chip count. He called my all-in preflop and bet 1/3 of his chipstack with that. Then he bet all-in after the flop on the other guy that stayed in when he caught the straight. O'well. it happens. It was fun... would have been funner if i won that hand though. LOL
  8. Hey Guy - some guys who play the game like it's thier life, hate losing to someone that plays a pair of cards that the odds aren't worth playing and will complain how bad of a play you made, even though you beat them. Bottom line - you won. lol. You were playing with bad odds and bet a lot of your money with not much of anything but it just happen to work out. Nice. I'm sure the chip leader that took me out last night was thinking the same thing I just got up from the table and shook everyones hand, had another beer and watched for a while, then left. That's poker Dr hunt - yup, luck definelty plays it's part and some guys don't believe it. They actually figure that thier that good and should always win. It wont happen. Being good will def help get you through some rounds and past less experienced players but sometimes luck is needed for sure to get you to the end. You're absolutely right. I never really played that much online poker, before they banned it, basically because of the scams that could go on and, i'd rather spend that time in the garage working on the Z... which i didn't do much of anyway Well, it's the next day and i feel better. lol. The main reason i play is really to get together with a bunch of guys and have fun. Winning makes the night better for sure but it's mainly for fun. I've been getting together once a month playing Holdem' with my group of 10-14 guys for the last 2-3 years and it's a blast. I actually took 1st 4 out of the 12 games last year, 2nd-3 times and 3rd twice which put me at top for taking the most $ for the year. So, next weekend is the first game of OUR game and i'm sure they'll all be guning for me. ha. All in fun though.
  9. So i'm playing with 15 guys i've never played before and we get down to the last 5. Mind you, 4th takes money. Blinds are 150/300, no ante and i'm the big blind. I have about 2000 left after posting big blind. I dont look at my cards. First to act is chip leader. He raises to 900. 3 times the big blind - standard. Next guy - fold. Next to him, fold. Guy to my right, calls. I peek at my card, Kh, Ks. I decide to go all in. Chip leader to my left decides to call. Other guy that stayed in, calls. 3 of us in now with my all-in. Looking good so far with my pocket K's. Flop comes As, Kd, Qh. I hit 3 kings, perfect. Feeling good. Triple up time. Chip leader to my left decides to go all in. Only guy left folds. I flip my K's, chip leader flips 10, Jack... a straight on the flop. Damn. Turn - blank. River - blank. I'm out on the bubble. UG!!! He called my all in with unsuited 10-Jack before the flop!WHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHYWHY WOULD HE DO THAT???? Ok, i feel better now Sorry for the bad beat story. It's just tough when you're the new guy, doing pretty good and then get beat like that and on top of it all, to go out on the bubble!!!! Ok, ok... NOW i feel better Well, not really. Maybe i'll feel better tomorrow BTW - i'm not one of those raving lunatics when they loose (Phil Hellmuth, Mike Matusow), this just bit my @ss for some reason. Oh well, guess i'll play again next month with them again, and probably still on tilt. Lol. RANT MODE OFF
  10. Sounds like it's going to be a real nice setup Mike. Thanks for the info and keep up the great work! - Jersey
  11. Looks great mike. Very, very nice. I'm looking onto going 5 on 4.5 as well and wondered which route you went with the front and rears? You drilled them both for 5 lug? Which rotors/calipers are you running? Those MM billet stubs look awesome but a little out of my price range right now. Actually, they're a little out of the wife's price range right now Z is looking real good.
  12. I'm going to be putting them up for sale soon but don't know much about them except it says "Borlem", "Made in Brazil", "14x6". I've done a google search and found that Borlem was merged with Hayes Lemmerz back in '96 and some additional info on the Co. but nothing on this specific wheel. Any help is appreciated.
  13. Which force feedback steering wheel are you guys using? I may be interested since i'm semi-incapacitated at the moment
  14. Never knew all that Dragonfly. Thanks. Wheelman - Believe me, i'm far from being any kind of expert on this type of thing, just passing along the info as i find it out myself. Here's the x-rays at the end of the first week it happened that my DC took. He could see (i couldn't) that the vertebra were a bit out of alignment but, as we all can see, there's know way to tell what those MRI's showed about the disk i posted up top in this thread. And this may not be anything you have and i don't want you thinking that you might because of the info about my situation, i just want you to know the info that i've learned. Anyway, here's a couple of the x-rays...
  15. First off, thanks for all the support guys. It would be great if this thread helped one person just not be in the position i am in right now. Actually, in the past 2 weeks, it's been feeling a bit better. The Neurologist just wants me to check in with him this week to see how i'm feeling. There's a chance that the fragmented piece of disk will shrivel up and dissipate and the herniated part could actually recover with therapy. I am deathly afraid of surgery, especially that high up on the spine and toying with the spinal cord. It could leave me paralyzed from the neck down if there was any type of a "woops". I'm pretty sure my wife and 3 little ones wouldn't appreciate that so much. Staying in shape, using your head instead of your back and listening to your body, in my opinion, will definitely help the longevity of your back. Honestly, I've been in shape all my life, wrestled for 10 years, football for 8, always active doing either something with the kids or in the back yard working... but in my case, i think this has to do with all the years of using the back instead of the head part. But who really knows. I am a thick-headed Italian and nothing was ever too heavy for me too handle. Yeah, right. What i do know now is that i will much more conscience of the way i lift and handle things after i'm through this mess. I've had many injuries over the years but this back thing is crippling. I would never wish this on anyone... well, maybe that one guy that tried to scam me on Ebay Dragonfly - My buddy out in Pittsburg is a DC and has been helping me through this since day one. He has been suggesting that traction (decompression) therapy could possibly help and i hope to find a DC in my insurance plan that uses this machine and to be starting sessions this week. The DRX9000c/DTS machine will be what i'm looking for along with glucosamine/condroitin supplements and possible light therapy, which could increase the disk recovery process of up to 400%. If i can avoid surgery in any way right now, i'm going to do just that. Surgery is non-reversible so i may as well try everything i can first. If it comes down to it and i need to be cut, i guess i'll deal with that then. Thanks much for the info. Thanks for all the information and support from everyone. I'm really glad to see a bunch of you younger guys have read this and are really paying attention to your backs. It does take it's toll in the long run... and i'm "only" 39! Forgot... Wheelman - That nerve that's being pinched which runs to your chest could get much worse over time and cause possible nerve damage. My DC here that i was seeing the first week i had this pain adjusted me until we decided to get an x-ray to see how far i was out of alignment, and i was, right at the spot of the herniated disk. Only problem was, was that the x-ray was never going to show the herniation and after a few more adjustments without much relief, he suggested i get an MRI. Sure enough, the MRI clearly shows the disk was blown out. There was no reason to get adjusted anymore for the time being and, it could actually cause more damage/pain if the vertibre are shifted, possibly putting more pressure on the herniated disk/nerves. I just wanted to give you a heads up. It might be worth seeing if your insurance plan will cover an MRi to truely see what's going on back there. Good luck and thanks for the post.

  18. Thanks e_racer. I contacted this scammer and he replied, vaguely. I questioned him more, just to find out more information about him so i could possibly nail this @ss. Now i have his IP address plus some additional info and hope to track him down even further. Here is one of the replies that he's sent to me. Watch your back guys...
