  1. I was in a similar position as you, but the other way around. It just took me until I was 18 to do it. I just moved in with him about 4 months ago. I ended up getting emancipated when I was 17 and divorced my parents and moved in with a friend. After realizing that living with friends can be painful and the shortage of money, I decided to get my life straightened out and give my dad his son back after 8 long years. Good luck Doc. It was one of the best decisions that I have made so far and I hope your son feels the same way. Ever young man needs a father to help them grow up.
  2. Well I guess we just have to re type everything that got deleted. Good think I took print screens of the last 10 pages that got deleted. I'll pm everyone to let them know what they need to post.
  3. Dude, I feel like I just went back in time. What just happened?
  4. Check out this article. http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=1204808&forum=general&dtSearch=2 I didn't read much of it but I think it gives the differences.
  5. Sorry guys, I fixed it. I was doing a little product search for a buddy's turbo engine.
  6. This girl has to be dizzy as hell by the end of this act. It just amazes me how quite a bit of people have random talent that they will never use in their life but acts as a great stress relief.
  7. HOLEY CRAP!!!!! Where is the pump at?
  8. I was planning a 350 swap just a few days ago. Then something came over me and I changed my mind to doing a turbo swap. If you do the math, the turbo swap is cheaper and easier to to. I just got hooked on boost, and that's what I would advise for a turbo swap. You can make nice numbers out of a stock turbo long block.
  9. Oh ok. The Tockicos will offer performance, what he was saying was a coilover kit wall perform at a higher level. If you don't go with the Modern Motorsports kit, then you might have some fab/machineing to do. This is Slownrusty's pictoral of his setup. http://www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/1188927
  10. The Modern Motorsports kit does not require machining. They just slide over and weld in place I believe. Here's the quote. ***For proper installation, removal of the factory cupped lower spring perch is required. Then our custom perch is welded to the strut tube at our described location. This is the only welding required and is easily done by any competent welder.
  11. Now that's what I'm talking about! That would fix all of your problems.
  12. Look harder, it's in between the 6's.
  13. Brand name is always better. As far as a suspension kit, the springs are gonna be your best bet. You can get coil overs custom made but they are gonna be $$$$$.
  14. Check this link, http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4&products_id=11 , they have the cheapest lowering kit available and its easy to install.
  15. Good observation.... not much more to discuss on that then.
  16. The best thing to do is read. Find a member who is in your area and make friends and learn from them. Explore the forums as much as possible every day and have a PLAN if you are going to do something. Look at all of your possible options and then choose the one that is best for your build. There are tons of priceless information here and people willing to help out if you put in your best effort. The most important thing to do for a build/project is to have a solid plan from start to finish.
  17. It is located on the spark plug side of the head near the firewall. I believe it is in between the number 5 and 6.
  18. Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor
  19. PLEASE can you use some correct spelling and punctuation? I have had 6 beers in the past hour and I am doing a better job at that than you. Lets start from scrap. Does the car run at all? If so, how long? Have you checked all of your sensors? Did you install the distributor pointing in the correct direction? Turn your motor to TDC on #1 and tell us what position your distributor arm is point in.
