  1. This is my favorite junk yard ever. I spent everyday there last summer getting things for my buddies car. They had such a good variety of Z's and ZX's. They had anything from turbo 944 to old supras and rx7 to supercharged thunderbirds. The yard is LKQ Salvage. I have seen that car too and it was not in too good of shape.
  2. Thanks for the opinion. I'm really leaning to buying some cans of the replicolor or just spray it black and see how that looks.
  3. I have a 83 ZX that I just purchased a front spoiler for and I need to get it painted. My only problem is my budget. Like a lot of people I am trying to get this painted as cheap as possible. My budget is around $50 dollars. My car's paint is not in the best shape so the spoiler does not need to look emaculate. I have checked a lot of local paint and body shops for prices and they all are in the $200 range. This is too much for me and I am thinking of spraying it myself. I figure I will buy a few cans and prep/prime it and then rattle can. I have been searching for paint stores that can get the original color, whitch is Nugget Gold code 101, but all the stores I have found are charging about $25 can. The spoiler is FG and gelcoated. I am wondering if anyone knows of a good paint supply store that has anything for a better price. All help is appreciated. Also, is there any secrets to preping gel coat? ( I have viewed a few boat forums and have not found much info on gelcoat prep.) Thanks, Adam
  4. I don't know why someone doesn't hook an air compressor up to the intake with a high flow valve and just dump as much air as the engine can take down the strip. It seems a bit more logical than the leaf blower.
  5. They were even the same name brand.
  6. I got a DREMEL 400 series kit. I was pretty happy about that. Long tube header and 2.5 in exhaust. I also got myself a new front air dam for the ZX thanks to Yasin, its an Arita Speed. And my favorite of all gifts that I got was the indoor remote controlled heli chopper, HELL YEAH. I have been reeking havoc all day!
  7. Happy Holidays to every one. I believe this is the hottest Christmas I have ever seen. Its about 76 degrees outside right now and its 1 am.
  8. Mine was a 1989 Ford Thunderbird bone stock. It was Banana meat yellow and it was handed down to me from my GREAT Grandmother. Then I got a 1970 Chevy Nova with a 350 bored 40 over with a 770 cfm carb. It blew up and I left it in Mississippi. And then came the ZX.
  9. I love BeeR:mrgreen:. The price seems a little bit much. The lowest I could find was $300, and for that you could run MSD.
  10. Good choice. They are going to look awesome with your setup.
  11. Well I wet sanded off a layer and buffed them out and the light shines through 10x better now. You can see the reflector when headlights hit the tails so I'm not too worried about that. I am still trying to get pics up.
  12. I have actually been getting kinda nervous about mine because they are BLACK. I think i'm gonna take a layer off and lighten them up.
  13. Those numbers are easy to achieve with a boosted 350. Take a look at a thread called Turbo V8 280zx, or something along the lines of that. He is pushing around 600 on low boost.
  14. It's one 1:15 and I found a new one. Its called the hollow face illusion. This is mind boggoling. http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/3739/
  15. I just tinted my tail lights today and it took all of about 45 minutes. I cleaned the lights off really good and applied about 3 coats of the hobby store tint spray. The built in reflector still shows up when light hits it. The tails light up very well also. I highly recommend using the hobby shop spray. I will get pics up tomarrow.
  16. Have you dialed in the carb that you changed to blowthrough? How muh did you drill out the PV holes? What jets did you loose? How much boost? Sorry for all the questions(you might have answerd these already but I read through this at 3 in the morning) I am really inteested in blowthrough setups and the workings of them.
  17. Yep, $60. They are just as powerful and reliable as any $200 kit. I compared and swapped with my friend's who bought a $200 kit and thy were exactly the same.
  18. Baby Jesus would stop crying if he had one of my margaritas.
  19. I personally favor the Sportmax 002's. I am saving up for a set this summer after the V8 swap.
  20. MY DAD DRANK ALL MY BEER:fmad:! The only thing left is TEQUILA:willy_nil! I can't do it!
  21. I bought the cheap ebay projectors for $30 shipped and bought a $60 HID true Xenon kit as well. I went with 5000 K and they are WHITE. The lenses are kinda crappy and spread the light all over the place. They are just as bright as the stock lenses with the crappy housing. They are H4.
  22. My worst was when I was working on my 1970 Chevy Nova SS. I was trying to loosen a bolt from underneath the car and was laying on the ground. I was pushing, not pulling on the wrench, and the radiator brace was right in front of my face. The bolt came loose and all of my stored energy throws my face into the brace. I split my brow open pretty bad. It just made things worse after I found out the motor blew.
  23. I don't get a hangover, its the effects that it has while the alcohol is in me.I wake up in the morning feeling fine, besides the lack of good sleep.
  24. All right Bill, I will let you know how they are in about a month or two. I'm laying off the Tequila for a bit(I just started drinking tequila and I don't like the effects of it over other alcohols(loss of memory, agitation, NO SLEEP, ect.)) So I will be staying out of this thread for a while. I am sticking with Sam Adams from now on.
  25. Bill, I will have to try that. Have you ever experimente with a non-light beer? Im wondering if any of the Sam Adam's specialty brews would be interesting.
