  1. Just a note - Illuminas are about 90$ a piece on ebay right now. They've come down a lot.
  2. I'm so frustrated with that camera, I just bought a new one. I'm junking that one. Better pictures, soon to come!
  3. Sniping just makes sure more interested people think they are going to get the item for dirt cheap. If you have a bidding fight early, you're more likely to have less people waiting around at the last minute for a "steal." Just bid what you want to pay, and don't look at it again until the auction is over. The end.
  4. Sorry I suck at photography, the lighting is always screwed up. But the car has about 4" of clearance at the front crossmember. I dialed the camber all the way in to see if I had enough before I brought it to the shop for alignment, (modifying my crossmember first) and it looks like I have plenty. Now I have to take everything off and finish welding the coilover rings, 2" lower in the back than GC instructs. Glad I didn't trust them, or I'd be screwed.
  5. Once you have your weights input correctly, change the avg speed and ride parameters around until you see something you feel is more appropriate.
  6. Guys - Moby has a tube chassis v8 Z as well. It will be ok. Sheesh.
  7. My opinion is - don't take anyone's opinion. (Except maybe John's heh) Put in your shiznit here: http://members.cox.net/forrest280z/springrateselector.xls
  8. I want them all. Do you have a paypal account?
  9. That's just the intro to the WM playstation game. We're talking about the live action movie.
  10. I'd also like to know...I have been looking online for over a year. I can't believe I didn't check here first! I would very much like to get a copy.
  11. That's the black pearl (factory option) pinstriping. Here are some more pics of my car: and here is the zhome page on the black pearl with some more pics: http://zhome.com/History/BlackP.htm
  12. John, I noticed JTR recommends moving the pivot point out a little as well for some negative camber gain. I have some bolt in camber plates installed but from what I've been reading, without adjustable front control arms, the range of adjustment will be at least 50% in the positive side (which I'd probably never use.) I was thinking this might be a good idea to increase my practical range, but is there any negative to moving the pivot point outward?
  13. Yesterday: and today they're both installed:
  14. There was a ton of junk online about that video. The kid is ok (after plastic surgery). He was being a jackass - trying to reach out and hit his friend on the bike.
  15. *coughcough*Petesrailscomewithmounts*coughcough*
  16. Yeah yeah, she's very attractive and that's why she has the job. I'm not sure why the people who host the video are so amazed at her driving. What are her times at Laguna Seca? I'd love to see some shots of her heel-toeing in those high heels.
  17. Not to be nitpicky, but in the second description: "The basic kit includes heavy fiberglass body panels that cover almost the entire body of the base car, a 1974 Datsun 240Z." Even with that thorough description, one slip like that and I'm suspicious.
  18. The infamously bad 260Z fuel injection? Someone needs to whack her over the head with a Bosch EFI book for both mistakes.
  19. IT WAS FOR SALE?!! Are you serious?
  20. Well I meant to post one of these 10 months ago when the car first went up, but I was thinking "well it will be down in a week or two so there's not much point." Yeah right. Well here it is, my official entry: Those are some kickass stands, right? I actually just finished part of what has kept it up for so long (besides the 10 million other things I had to do.) And I'm about to go put all the suspension back on: But it will all have to come back off in order to finish welding the rings, get the suspension powdercoated, and install the AZ-Z brakes, short knuckles, new bearings, tie rods, balljoints, spindle pins, bushings, etc etc. I'm sure it will only be down a week or two for that though.
  21. I can't believe no one posted pics of Erik Bernstein's car...one of the most amazing jobs ever.
  22. This is a shame. John, do you have somewhere else you post (or will you) that I can read? If the issue was still up for debate, I'd vote for heavy moderation of non-constructive posts the better. (Actually, I wouldn't mind heavy moderation of non-constructive posts in EVERY forum.)
  23. You're better off without the GC 'instructions' anyway. They're pretty worthless. I'm working on my install now and I curse the 8 year old that GC hired to write them, daily. The plate barely fits underneath the strut tower, so keep that in mind...don't drill the holes too close to the outside of the tower or it won't bolt up. P.S. GC should be sued for calling these "camber/caster" plates.
