Should I fuel inject my 3L stroker?
DuffyMahoney replied to zev's topic in S30 Series - 240z, 260z, 280z
You should try one of my progressive throttle cams first, it might help the street aspect some. -
Finally got the linkage sorted on my ITB. This is without an over head bar return spring (I will add tonight). The system is very smooth and returns strongly. Pretty stoked.;

Sweet! -
ITB update! I got the dog bones/ rods shortened, design and had the cable mount made plus the fuel rail mounts. It’s almost ready to bolt in! I might try some surface finishing on the cnc intake. I don’t love the look of it.

Super neat that nissan is doing this. I am curious if they will mass produce them or do a limited run.

I launched my Datsun parts company, for anyone looking. https://www.m2racing.com/ Thanks!

Got any pictures?

I would send the intake off to a vibratory polisher, then glass bead it heavily, then vapor hone it. No filters for now, but eventually I will get that figured out.

Well I got my cnc intake! Honestly surface finish isn’t what I was hoping for. But will be nice with some effort. I think it’s almost too much bling. I might go satin glass bead on the intake. It has pretty heavy machine marks Balance bar bolted on exactly as I planned, with 6mm banjos. The injector angle looks spot on as well. Pretty happy with it overall. Next rods need to be shortened and I need to figure out a progressive throttle location on the overhead bar and a cable mount location. Then moving the ecu temp sensor.

It's not a stupid expensive chunk of aluminum, setups and cut time is what makes it expensive in the US. China doesn't seem to charge setup fees.
-
US quotes were hilarious, to say the least.
-
I would not say this was a cheap intake to make:)
-
Direct, I quote 3 machine shops in china, 2 in the US and 1 in India. PCBway is nice, but normally more money then direct. The interface is much much easier. Currently I have to wire money everytime, which is a pain.

The zcar ones are about as high end as you could possibly want. If you can swing them, I highly suggest them.
-
The custom stainless fuel rail is very slick! I can even clock the injectors enough to hide some of the wiring.
-
1 or 5, they are the same price. Slightly less if I buy like 10-20, but not a ton. Since it's all 5 axis time. If it works well, I may try and have it cast.

I am a looks and performance person. I am sure it performs well. I just think it would have been sexier for sure.

China is cutting this, they picked the material.

Well the cnc shop missed a program on my first intake and it’s ruined. This is number 2. It’s starting to look amazing.
-
I think the protunerz intake was an opportunity to make something extremely sexy and perform well, but the intake runners look like home depot pipe, then the rest looks fine. But it could have been amazing.
-
Sad, that is 10x better looking then the protunez.

Very common on yahoo japan, if you are interested.
