  1. Damn that's awesome definitely a lot of work getting that engine in there i like the top mount intercooler, it sucks the last owner passed away but at least the car went to a Datsun/Nissan guy. If you ever want to sell it in the future let me know first I live in Medford and I always wanted a 810 Maxima or the early 810. You should try joining Ratsun.net I'm on there as well it's a great forum for all Datsuns.
  2. Not bad, I never thought I would see a 810 maxima with a L28ET for sale again. I really wanted that car when I saw it but I didn't have the spare money or I would have.
  3. Nice it's the one I've seen on CL then how much did you end up paying for it?
  4. I used to have HKS hypermax coilovers for the rear but I was dumb to sell them as they could have been useful all that I needed was make them fit the top mounts. I would be interested in seeing some pics on how they would fit for the rears.
  5. The stock air box works just fine, all you would have to do is replace the filter with something better. A true dual exhaust is probably a bad idea especially for a inline 6 it won't give it any benefit, just looks. A stage 2 Spec clutch is what I used which worked better than I thought with a stock resurfaced flywheel. Aftermarket flywheel would be awesome. Just learn everything you can about the car before you go off doing anything to the car, research & read a lot everything you need to know has been covered on here a before and after pics would be nice as you fix it up best of luck!
  6. Now that they added the Ford Transit Van I ram the AI back lol. I'll be adding a lot of cars but will be testing to see if there worthy or not.
  7. I wonder If there will still be Shelby mustangs around since without his approval they could not hit the streets.
  8. A great legend will truly be missed! R.I.P. Mr. Shelby http://msn.foxsports.com/motor/story/Carroll-Shelby-dies-race-car-designer-cobra-age-89-051112/?m_n=true
  9. I get a little frustrated at times because the damn computer wants to ram me off the track, most of time I manage to keep it together when that happens. Online people do it all the damn time in the circuit races if I have a slower car than they do and run faster times they usually get pissed and ram me off the track.
  10. I'm sure by disconnecting the battery while the car is running there's a chance you can ruin your alternator that's what happened to one of my friends Z.
  11. I'll add my 2 cents, if I ever see that car in person I will bow to it and yasin!
  12. Yeah from what I have read it does I'm only planning on keeping it a DD for awhile so it should make a fun driver. There's still a lot I have to do to the car since its a ongoing work in progress.
  13. I was told the same by a friend that works at Nissan, I have that P90a still but the hydraulic lifters are bad but I was researching on here and saw how to convert it to solid lifter and I watched Big Phil's YouTube video. I also have a P79 I was thinking of taking the "A" camshaft and lifters off that and putting on the P90a.
  14. I remember now DevilZX had the same exact accident I did with my ZX even the damage looked the same unfortunately i haven't fixed my ZX because I haven't found a good front end replacement like he did.
  15. So I'm rebuilding my L28ET from 83 280zx turbo, and my P90A hydraulic head was in really bad shape. I aquarred a 81 L28ET 3 years ago that had been rebuild a few years before I got it, but it was in a garage fire from what I was told when I got it because it was super dirty. I tore the 81 turbo engine apart and the inside the block was super clean and the head looked really dry with oil residue. I took the P90 off the 81 L28ET to the machine shop and I was called the next day only to be told it was no good. They told me it wouldn't hold pressure and they found 3 cracks on the bottom the crease between where the 2 valves meet. So has anyone else had a cracked head before and if so are they repairable or are they just junk now? Here's the cracks one on front where piston #1, then #4 and #6
  16. The Air Dam I have was scored off the black ZX in the pictures i used it as a donor car and it came with the car but I believe it's an old MSA l air dam. The better person to ask is Slownrusty but there's like 5-6 other members here that have them too. Here are some with the same air dam with bumper on they are members on here forgot there names The other air dams I saw on yahoo Japan just don't know the name of them I believe there made in Japan but are buyable.
  17. Here are some that I seen on here and Yahoo Japan Similar to the one above just a slightly different. Slownrusty's my favorite 280zx Here's mine Here's some front bumpers
  18. I just got passed where I was stuck I'm on the last part of the game.
  19. For sure, I'm stuck on one part of the world tour I'm pretty sure I'm toward the end cause I had been playing it forever.
  20. Already joined, shared some of my cars I was disappointed I couldn't share some of my favorite cars I guess something to do with the vinyl being locked. I do a lot of drifting, circuit racing & drag racing haven't mastered drag that well but I guess practice makes perfect.
  21. Northern california has some pretty good ones for around that price if you look hard enough i seen plenty on craigslist, even Oregon where i'm from there's some decent ones. If your looking for the 280zx Turbo then 82-83 is the years they started with 5 speed 81's were automatic only.
