    Not sure where I should post this, admins please move if this is the wrong forum. I saw a red 87 300zx turbo at the Pick Your Part today at 4pm in Sunland. Still had the turbo and the diff w/axles. No transmission though. It's located in the back-left. The row just behind the winnebago motor homes. I was looking for a set of the axles a few months back and had a hard time finding a car like this. Just thought I would give someone a heads up.

    Hey all, I've been looking around on tirerack and have noticed some of the more high end performance tires are no longer available in 17's (specifically larger than 255s). Anyone have an issues getting larger size tires? I'm hoping 17's don't go the way of the 16 inch rim. edit: Found alot more, I guess I have to stop searching only Tire Rack and Discount Tire!

    Is there an inherent draw back to the rotary valve design? I've heard of these for years but never really seen a mainstream application. I'm afraid I'll be swapping an 11 turn triple into my electric car before these come out.

    Haha, no thanks John. I'll leave my car to the pro's! I'll see if GCC has some classes for the smaller items I want to fabricate.

    Anyone here know of some weekend welding course in LA? I missed the weekend class at the school in Simi Valley and now the education cuts have eliminated it entirely (Thanks governator!) Looking for instruction so I can do some simple welding on my own. Not looking for certification. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

    That would be great if they were able to produce a better flowing intake (that also happened to look cooler!). I've always liked the simplicity of the VG30e's compared to the later twin cam brethren. It's too bad not that many people choose to build that motor up (myself included:rolleyesg) compared to the VQ or RB motors.

    Anyone know of a good salvage yard in the LA area? I've been to a few in the valley, but they wouldn't let me in to scout around. Just give them a part number or something and they would pull it. Just trying to find parts that aren't up on fleabay. Thanks!

    To all the 2JZ people out there, what is the length of the supra style intake plenum? Specifically I am looking for the length of the plenum where the runners connect(Greddy style or stock). I google'd it but couldnt find anything specific. Thanks!

    Oh yeah, I read that one awhile back. Probably the most insane intake I have seen for an L motor. I would say it was machined out of billet unobtainium.

    Yeah, I was thinking for a turbo setup, but the gains probably won't equal all the extra loot. The underhood bling on the other hand...
