  1. Thanks : ) I've recently upgraded my Sony DCR-PC100 to a Sony (what else?) HDR-HC7 . I wanted a FX7 or something like it, but I chose to favor a camera that would be easier to travel with.
  2. Download (360i): http://rapidshare.com/files/60522779/mull_huddinge-kustoms-360.wmv 720i: http://www.voodoo-people.com/~daz/mull/mull@huddinge-kustoms-720.wmv Decided to snap out of it and make new video. And voila, here it is. Some donuts, burnouts and cruising with a Nissan 200sx S14a... and a bunch of smoke. Suppose the car is called 240sx in the states though? Anyhow, the engine is pretty much stock in case anyone was curious =)
  3. This is insane... Looks like your carbs could use some bling though : )
  4. I had some minor rust issues, yeah... : )
  5. Thanks! Here's a second one since you enjoyed it so much : ) It's been "cleaned up" a little. No more blue tape, shaved rear bumper, etc.
  6. There might be next week. The goal is to have a new video out before the 1 year stand-still anniversary. Yes, and no. The background is from another photograph I took of a sunset where I live. Actually, the picture of the car was taken during the day, but I figured a sunset would be nice =) Here's another pic from the same day/hour.
  7. I wish it was mine (and a 240z...) : ) Snapped some pics of a swedish Z-board members car, this is one of 'em, hope you like it!
  8. I think I need some sunglasses : ) Bling!
  9. Here's a swap that never happened - he changed his mind in favor of a Lexus engine. Probably not due to clearance issues. Oh, and speaking of Saab... Here's a sucker converted to 4WD and 800+ bhp: http://www.93x.se/93x4r/index.htm Oh, and regarding the capabilites as a drag car - this one ran a 10.41 quarter mile at 550 bhp. http://www.garaget.org/?car=135
  10. Glad to hear you enjoy watching my perils... = ) If you want to contribute you could pick up one of the four designs currently available as über comfortable t-shirts in my super-mega-hi-tech-web-shop: http://mull.spreadshirt.com/ More designs are being added but need verification since they're in vector format
  11. Personally I'd rather get me one of these: http://vansantent.com/model_3_bender.htm I've been told a "dragging" bender is better than the "pushing" kind.
  12. I dunno, he modified the bending bars in some way, think he ground em up or something... And yeah, it's pretty much the same bender : ) I'll ask him about the mods when I talk to him.
  13. Thanks for the encouraging thoughts : ) The car is still stripped - so it's not near the point of no return. I'll look into cutting the floor/subframe and reinforcing everything some more. Not sure about the firewall though. But I guess it's "just" a bunch of cutting and welding to get it all to work out. The part closest to the firewall has to go/move forward... Why the hell didn't I think of this earlier? No shortage of "trial and error" on this build. Haha! =) "old" pic during construction
  14. Uggh. I just feel like whining a bit. No updates, other than this. I'm close to 6.1 ft - I'm too tall for the car! Well, not really but I'll whine about it anyway I've figured, while very pretty, the rollcage isn't using interior space fully. The roll bar could've been placed an inch or two farther back. To make a long story short: I may have to cut the floor and lower the seat to keep my head from hitting the roll bar and the one that runs between the A and B-pillar by the roof of the car. I have to stretch a little to get my head to touch the cage, but still. Sure, the cage will get a fair share of padding, but I think I want more space. That is, still being able to peek over the dash to see where I'm driving at, too. I've just put in the seat on the floor with OMP mounts (pretty much as low as they can get [while tilted]) and the head space is a bit concerning... As are the Tilton pedals. I really really really want to use them (floor mounted) but I'm not so sure there's room unless cutting the firewall to make room for the cylinders *sigh* : ) Anyway, there's a guy I know who has cut floor of this car to make room in order to fit. He's close to 6.3 ft and needed to expand the teeny tiny cockpit of his (240z arch rival) Opel GT (forum thread!) If it worked for him, it should work for me. Rumor has it he did most of the modifying with a sledgehammer... Think I'll do some cutting instead of bashing my poor li'l Z. Whaddayathink? About the lowering the floor part. Good idea, bad idea, insane idea? Anyone got a shrinking device handy? I dunno, just brainstorming I guess. Any input appreciated =) thanks for that feedback : )
  15. Looking forward to the pictures this weekend!
  16. veritech-z, thanks for the ideas - and the great drawing - I love it! Still a long way to go till it's time for paint though. I'll probably change my mind a thousand times till then
  17. At first glance, the R32 GTS cradle/IRS seems alot wider than the 80 mm I've read about (that is, 80 mm compared to the stock 240z). It's not exacly what I'd like to call lightweight but hey, it was free ... And perspective in the picture is a bit misguiding. We'll see what happens. Here's the wider version - approx. 100 mm. And the rear IRS has been dragged in place to see if things even remotely line up : P
  18. Flare suggestion from my metal handyman Viktor of http://www.darensteel.com They're about 60 mm per side - about 2.5 inches. I'll test fit these and see if I want to go wider or if it'll do. Switching to a Skyline or 240sx/200sx rear end is going to add about 40-50 mm per side. Here we go! New Chrome moly cage almost ready. There'll be no new video dedicated to the process this time though. No re-runs here. Haha : ) Stay tuned to see the new panorama sunroof... ; )
  19. Seats. I figured it would be nice to have some pedals. So here they are. Many thanks to Mark for hooking me up : ) Here's where the engine build up is at ... Didn't get too great pics of this since I was busy filming it. Hopefully #17 turns up online before or during the weekend! Enjoy : )
  20. More not-so-necessary blingin', just for fun : ) ...added some filler to the firewall to smooth it out. Still waiting for the people with welding skills to have some free time. *sigh*
